Christina is an awesome GM. For everyone complaining about the lighting. It’s fine and I don’t see how it’s dark? The food and staff was on point. One of my go to restaurants here in Plainview. Susan is a great waitress. Super nice and professional. 12/10 :)

Place was referred to us by a friend. It did not disappoint! Tried the famous deep fried bacon and the fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were huge!! Awsome on both. I had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. Home cooked. One of the best I ever had. The staff was super friendly! I highly recommend if your in the area.

We ate at the Cotton Patch restaurant in Plainview on July 11, 2023. We were surprised to find that it is actually in a strip center rather than a freestanding building like the others we had seen before. We were seated quickly and the service was good throughout the entire meal. I had the lemon herb grilled salmon, which was very tasty, and my husband had the Dr. Pepper jalapeno bacon burger, which he thought was delicious. Although we went at lunchtime, the restaurant wasn't terribly busy, but it wasn't deserted either. If we make it back to Plainview, we definitely wouldn't mind going back.

The Cotton Patch is an awesome local restaurant. My wife and I have eaten here several times over the years and never been disappointed. We started with the mushroom appetizer, a huge and extremely tasty portion. The meat loaf I had today was very traditional and covered in tomato sauce made with real tomatoes (not a ketchup type sauce). My wife had the beef tips, also awesome in a homemade gravy topped with a side of very yummy mushrooms.

Highly recommended!
We eat there twice a week at least. Always satisfied!

Rafael was our waiter, he did an excellent job. The fried green tomatoes were delicious.

Excellent service and meals. Literally the most hospitable place iv been to in the state of texas. The wait staff is very polite and will recommend outstanding dishes if asked. I mentioned I was new to the state of texas and the cafe caught my eye so I stopped in for lunch. Waitress threw a cornbread appetizer in my meal on the house and my god it was worth the stop. Some of the best chicken fried chicken iv ever had.

What an amazing experience! I was seated at my table by the manager herself! Christina is a gift! After I was seated and had placed my order, I witnessed her working near the kitchen…….delegating tasks and sending out food.

She didn’t stop there. She made her way from table to table….engaging with all of us.

As a chaplain, I had spent the day in a Lubbock, TX ICU. My feet were tired, my heart was burdened and my stomach was empty.

I am SO thankful I bypassed fast food chains along the way and waited until I could get some “real food.”

The food was hot and amazing. The service was incredible and I left encouraged that there is hope for America with people like Christina training our youth.

She is a KEEPER!

Josia was a great server. Very attentive and did a wonderful job recommending food. We had fried tomatoes that were great. My wife had the salmon and really enjoyed it! I had the pork chops and they were cooked to perfection! Great flavors, great service and an amazing visit! Glad we ate here!!

WOW!!!! Absolutely amazing food!!!!! First time I ever had Jalapeño gravy on my chicken fried steak and it was awesome! Great customer service and an all around great atmosphere! My wife and I absolutely loved it and we will be eating there more often!!

Adrianna was the best waitress I've ever had, she went above and beyond to meet the tables needs.

We were very please with our meal. Wanted go to Cotton Patch on Mother's Day. They were really friendly and gave us free dessert. Glad we have one in our town..

I had previously left a good review, but it has changed drastically.
The food was not good, for anybody in our group.
Part of the reason could be that it set at the pickup area for a long time before our waiter brought it to us
So it was tasteless, and cold. In addition though, the squash casserole wasn't like a casserole, just partially mashed squash.
Overall a very disappointing meal.

I came in hungry and left stuffed. I would definitely come back.

Excellent home cooking. I've had their fried catfish and chicken fried steak now. Both were very good. The hot rolls are marvelous!

Another great place to go out for date night. I enjoy the professional and courteous waitresses. We were well kept up on our drinks. Weren't bothered at all. Always at the right time. Props to our Waitress.

I only give three stars because there is something lacking here. We took guests here during the Easter holiday and they brought our food to us cold. We were there again this Sunday, I ordered the shrimp dish and was served chicken. That's not too bad, but when I bought it to the waitress attention she argued that I ordered the chicken. We will wait awhile before we return to the Cotton Patch. UPDATE: 10/19/2022 It seems that they might have it all together again. We stopped for lunch today and were well pleased with the service, food and over all cleanliness of the restaurant. Susan was our waitress and was very professional and courteous. Keep it up and we will be back more often. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner out.

We had the absolute best service. Our waitress stayed on top of everything. The food was EXCELLENT!!! HOT, DELICIOUS, and she even brought us fresh hot rolls to go with our doggy bags. Would definitely recommend!!! Went to eat at Cotton Patch today 05/02/2022 as an early birthday present from my daughter. We both order the 9oz sirloin with two sides. I had a loaded potato and chicken and dumplings. She had a salad and garlic potatoes. The only problem we encountered was our steak not cooked properly. We asked for medium and was more one the rare to medium rare. The waitress was very understanding and took it back so we could continue eating.
