Been shipping at Goodwill for 14 years making our rounds to Romney, Keyser and Cumberland . Romney store is by far the best managed store. Don’t see staff rotation, which speaks volumes about the management team in this store. store is clean and organized. Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. A few items now & then are high for this area but all in all they are very good.

Clean building and friendly staff. We always check in when we are in the area. Never know what you might find. Great place to find picture frames and knickknacks.

I love this Goodwill. I love them all, and always find something different at each one. I don't like the fact they ask you to "round up" but they can't even give you a cheap bag for your stuff. GREEDY.

The cashier was pleasant enough but something is wrong with the prices here. It’s as if they think the people that shop there actually HAVE money and our purchases are simply to support the payroll but if that were the case, we would not be shopping at a store named “Goodwill” looking for a good deal on USED clothing.
The signs with prices are quite misleading. Women’s “tops” have a sign saying “1.99 unless otherwise priced” yet there is no “otherwise” as there are no prices on the garments. When I went to checkout it turned out that literally 80% of the tops I’d chosen were considered by the cashier to be “blouses” & therefore would be twice the price at 3.99. If there had been a sign or something somewhere explaining this odd (and quite subjective) policy I could understand about some of them. However some of these “blouses” were pieces like a cotton walmart Faded Glory T-shirt but with a frilly neckline, a cotton t-shirt with some embroidered daisies, a cotton t-shirt with a sequin appliqué..nothing anyone would actually consider different than any other shirt, especially considering a “blouse” is by definition a woman’s garment “typically with a collar, buttons and sleeves”. I put a few back & accepted the double price for the rest, but at these prices I could literally just go to Walmart and buy new on clearance or go to Poshmark and get it delivered to my door. I got a pretty skirt for 3.99. Everything else was overpriced for a Goodwill. I certainly won’t return to this one unless prices are actually clearly stated & not decided by the person at the counter AND more like a secondhand store. An upscale vintage consignment shop, this isn’t. It just thinks it is.

Love the employees, they are good people. They treated me and mine like we were somebody. They saw a need and they helped my family more than they know. Great people that work there. Over priced on some of the items that are given to them freely. Yes I understand overhead and paychecks.

Overall for good will its okay, but compared to larger city good will, they dont have the deals, prices or selection. For local thrifts i prefer the second hand store in romney on main street.

The lady was nice but the prices were very high and they didn’t really have much except for clothes.

I have been going to goodwill since I moved up here that was 16 years ago the people are nice most of them and the prices were extremely high but there is one person their that always gets an addtiude with anyone like 1 days ago 12/29/20023 the women was getting an addtiude with me over a bag of stuffed animals because I told my sister to go pick out a stuffed animal and that's when she got an addtiude with me and told they don't sell one stuffed animal they sell them in bags and i said oh like the store rio mall and I told my mom that rio bagged there toys too and i wasn't even talking to the worker about the other store because the other store also bagged there stuffed animals and I was talking to my mom so that's when said the worker said no that's not how we're doing it, but once my mom said something to her , her addtiude changed quick and it might be stupid over a bag of stuffed animals but there is no reason for someone to talk to another human being like. That over toys are saying something about another store and another thing is the bag they get all the stuff donated too them and now there saying when you buy stuff you have to waste money to buy bag too and if you don't you have to carry everything out

People shop here to get a good deal on prices. However, inflation must have hit this store with a vengeance. 10.50 for a pair of used rain boots, not in perfect condition. 9.00 for a pair of used jeans???? Come on, you are Goodwill, not a designer consignment store. I haven't bought anything the last 2 trips because it's ridiculous. I'll go to Gabe's and get something brand new for same or cheaper. Not to mention you have to bring your own bags now.

This used to be a decent Goodwill. Now, the prices are outrageous and the products are just garbage. Everything good is sent off to be sold online. I used to go in most everyday. Now, I’m not going back.
