This place is worth trying. The honey BBQ sauce is delicious, not to sweet. Those green beans were so fresh. Im not sure if they were home grown, but they were excellent. The Mac and cheese was unique, I'm glad I tried it, I'd get it again. The brisket sandwich was excellent, so much flavor and the bun was so fresh. Very glad I stopped.

wonderful experience. I asked if they accommodate gluten free, and the lady was very knowledgeable about the menu and what was safe for me to eat. (I have celiacs- so it's pretty important!)
there were plenty of options for me. we got a pastrami baker, and a lost mountain baker. very large portions and delicious food! we will definitely be back. with tip it was $34 and well worth it, especially with the sizes of the portions. easily 2 meals each.

A nice little BBQ place, with covered outdoor seating. Been here many times, and never had any problems or lengthy wait times. Staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. The brisket mac & cheese bowl is a common go-to for me. Worth checking out!

Occasionally, I like to go all out gluttony and get some menu item that is enormous and zero percent chance of me finishing it in one sit down meal.

Today, Lost Mountain bbq was my chance to try the "Romney Mountain Masterpiece" and wow! It was easily big enough for 2 dinners, potentially 3.

It was amazing! all 3 meats, cole slaw, nacho cheese and more on top of a gigantic baked potato.

The S.O. got the "Lost Mountain" baker, she loved it.

The food was good. I could tell it was handcrafted. They aren't trying to cut any corners here. I liked the beans. I wish the ribs were cut before giving to the customers. It's tough to cut them with plastic cutlery. The whole experience is just nicer if the ribs can be picked up to eat as soon as the customer receives them. That doesn't mean they are tough ribs. The meat was good. I'd like to try to brisket next time. We traveled an hour to try and we'll do it again sometime.

Friendly service and outdoor seating was good. Ribs were perfect - I was nervous, but they were full of flavor and the meat was soft and juicy. Mac & cheese was solid but I wish I had gotten the coleslaw. Hubby got it on top of the pulled pork sandwich and it was yummy. The honey bbq sauces were good but I would have LOVED a spicy one. We will definitely be back. P.S. Sweet tea wasn't on the drink menu but they served it and it was delicious. EDIT: They DO have spicy bbq and it's delicious!

Couldn't have been better. The Pulled Pork sandwich was wonderful, as well as the Mac and cheese. Huge servings. Will definitely be returning .

Lost Mountain BBQ captures the essence of a true BBQ with real wood fired smokers, outdoor seating, and your savory meats and sides in the classic red and white checkered wrap and trays. It's a no frills all food joint. This is a must for BBQ lovers and may hold the top slot as the best BBQ in the region. The Brisket Burrito is a favorite with generous portions of juicy full-of-flavor brisket covered in your choice of sauces made from their own house recipes. Don't miss their baked beans either as they come in great sauce with added smoked meat. This is also a great venue to spend a warm afternoon visiting with locals while enjoying the best BBQ around that won't break your budget.

My hubby generally finds brisket too dry. The server said if he thought it was too dry, she'd walk another option out to him personally. He later said, "All this dryness is dripping down my beard!" 😄

The service was friendly and fast. We were surprised to learn that the dining area is all outside. It's covered but certainly not heated. We ordered a full rack of ribs to split, and 4 sides. Our order came very fast, and it was accurate. Ribs were very meaty and tender, flavorful. Loved the macaroni and cheese, coleslaw was creamy, not dry at all. We hadn't had lunch that day so we were definitely hungry, but we couldn't finish anything there, it was all so filling. Going to have a great lunch the following day. Definitely recommend this eatery.

The ribs were fork tender and very tastey. The original bbq sauce had a nice tangy taste to it as well.

My parents catered with Lost Mountian BBQ for my sister's wedding over the past weekend. The ribs, pulled chicken and pork, baked beans, Cole slaw and different sauces were delicious! Everyone went back for seconds and there was still plenty leftover for my sister to take home after.
The owners are very nice and the husband has a great sense of humor. If I'm ever back in this part of WV I'll be going back for some lunch!

Finally! A place that actually knows how to smoke meat properly. The brisket is pulled properly, not shredded to bits, not cut in lazy slices. Sauces are all great. It's an outdoor, walk-up and order situation, but they do have a bathroom and seating, and cover over seating and ordering area. Parking lot is a little tight and steep to get in and out of, but it's worth it!

AMAZING ... Top to bottom. The service was great the owner came out to check in and talk which was a nice personal touch. Now the best part the food. The pulled brisket was probably the best I ever had and the pulled pork was right there too. Then he brought out some smokes turkey that ruined Thanksgiving for me. It was so juicy and flavorful and downright amazing. Last but not least the sauce was fantastic. Not too sweet it had nice smoke to it, it was smooth and finished with a nice lil kick. Everything was absolutely great the whole way around.

We used to love going here. They changed the cole slaw recipe and dumped salt in it! So terribly gross. They pork sandwiches we got were half meat and a gross amount of fat. We threw it in the trash. We won't be back!
