High Point Trailhead Pinhoti Trail

High point trailhead to county road 8 is a beautiful but difficult five mile hike. You can loop around back on count rd 8 to 45 then 278 to trail head.

Trail is very well maintained 2 established campsites one at the beginning and one about 3 miles in . Hardly any blowdowns and the trail is very well marked

Easy to find and plenty of space for parking. There have been some break-ins into cars left overnight on some of the Pinhoti trailheads. So we called Brandon at Elevated Grounds Coffee Shop in Piedmont AL. He dropped us off at Pink E Burns TH and picked us up at High Point a couple of days later.

Good place to start a long trail hike. I hiked from Highpoint Trailhead to Bulls Gap in Sylacauga.

What an absolute blessing to have the Pinhoti Trail this close to home. Challenging and beautiful

I haven't hiked from this side yet but there is easy trail access right off the main road and plenty of space to park.

Always enjoy experiencing God's beauty when I walk this trail.

Lovely November overnight. The nearby ATV park provided noise & intrusion until late night hours (Saturday). Still, I'd do it again.

Plenty of parking and easy to find. Great blazes on the south trail.

It's a beutiful place, grate for hiking or horse back riding.

Only complaint is the over abundance of mosquitos lol!
