We had our wedding here July 2023 and it couldn’t have turned out more perfect! The setting itself is stunning with the lake, mountains, barn and farmhouse. Aside from the breathtaking exerting the team at Mountain Star brought our vision to life.

Sharon and Adrian met with me to talk through my vision, flow of the day, and so many important details that I never would have thought of. They were extremely accommodating, informative, and my my day completely stress free.

After the wedding I had so many friends and family reaching out expressing how incredible of a weekend it was and one of the best weddings they had ever been to at that. This is thanks to the team and setting here at Mountain Star. If you’re debating having you’re wedding here - just say yes!

My husband and I got married here on September 9th and it was by far more magical and perfect than I ever dreamed. The staff was SOO helpful and they are such easy people to talk to. They take all of your thoughts, and visions and help make them become a reality. They are willing to go above and beyond to make the day go smoothly. Adrian is a HUGE asset and does a lot behind the scenes to make everything go off without a hitch. And you can tell that Sharon and her husband love owning this business and being part of peoples special days. They were great! We loved that we were there for the weekend and all of our friends and family could be on site for the weekend with no worries. We could just relax have a great time and enjoy the moments of a busy weekend. I have zero complaints. I have been told multiple times that our wedding was one of the most perfect weddings our guests have attended and it’s all because of this beautiful location and amazing people that come with it ❤ Thank you for the best weekend of my life Mountain Star Estate 🤍

Everything about our experience with mountain star estate exceeded our expectations. Both the owner Sharon and the venue coordinator Adrian went to lengths to make sure our day was everything we imaged. They put out fires (including making centerpiece garlands when my florals never arrived!), thought of all the extra things to make the day that much more magical, and helped us every step of the way. The farmhouse is so charming, the barn is BEAUTIFUL, the honeymoon suite is a dream and the fire pits created such a fun environment for us all to hang out by. If you want a beautiful venue with an amazing place for friends and family to stay, with the best Maine vibes, this is your place. Thank you again Sharon and Adrian for all of your hard work!

We recently had our wedding at Mountain Star Estate and it was everything I could have hoped for, and more.

To provide some background, there was an ownership change as I was planning my wedding. The new owners, Sharon and Trav, made the process SEAMLESS. They were quick to respond, and honored everything from the previous owners.

The venue’s manager, Adrian, was simply AMAZING throughout my entire planning process. She promptly answered every text, call, email, and provided moral support to help me stay calm during every step of the way. When the wedding weekend arrived, Adrian pulled long days to help coordinate every last detail. I didn’t have to worry about a thing logistically, because she was on top of it. Honestly, Adrian is an angel sent from above and definitely made the entire process as easy as possible.

Now that we’ve covered the people, let’s talk about venue itself. Before we even got engaged, I had been eyeing Mountain Star. When we did our initial visit, I was hooked (and it was the dead of winter mind you). Everything about the venue is gorgeous. The views of the mountains and lake from the ceremony site are to die for. The barn itself is a work of art. And what I loved most was the farmhouse on the property, which comfortably accommodated our large wedding party, their significant others, our parents, and more. The fire pit was stocked and poppin’ all weekend, and it was so convenient that our VIP’s didn’t have to leave the property once. We even hosted the rehearsal dinner on the farmhouse porch!

Another great thing about mountain Star is that we didn’t need to rent much! It comes with most items one could need to host a large group.

Our weekend was simply perfect, and we have the wonderful staff to thank for that. I cannot say enough good things about this wedding venue. 💕❤🌲

Easy to give this venue a 5 star rating. Located in beautiful, picturesque Rangeley Maine. The owner and wedding planner were quick to answer any questions we had throughout the process. They welcomed us upon arrival and made the the process stress free. We were able to enjoy two evenings in the farmhouse with the wedding party. There were spaces for the bride and groom to get ready without seeing one another and a beautiful cottage for them to stay at after the wedding. Updates to the farmhouse made accommodations comfortable for all. Adrian is a pro at making sure everything goes smoothly from rehearsal to wedding send off. I would highly recommend this venue.

Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect, and everyone at the mountain star estate helped make it possible. We felt incredibly welcome on the property the whole weekend, and the owner and event coordinator were there every day just in case we needed anything. They were in contact with our vendors throughout the process, so the day of the wedding all we had to do was enjoy our family and friends. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’ll carry the memories with us for the rest of our lives. I can’t thank the staff at Mountain Star Estate enough for everything they did for us.

The venue is stunning! Staying in the Farmhouse, on the property, with close friends and family made for such a fun weekend and it allowed us to spend more time with everyone. Adrian, Sharon and team were amazing to work with, and they made our wedding day into exactly what we wanted!

I had the opportunity to provide services here for a wedding on September 4, 2021. The ceremony location is beautiful, the barn is large, spacious and well kept. Staff is friendly and the owner is fantastic. It was a pleasure working alongside everyone at Mountain Star Estate to make Will and Mallory's wedding so successful. If you're planning a wedding in Maine and looking at the Rangeley region - don't sleep on Mountain Star Estate!

My brother got married here on 6-17-23. The new owners and the wedding coordinator, Adrain made it such an awesome experience. From the minute we arrived on Friday til the time we left on Sunday, the owners and wedding coordinator went above and beyond to help make it the perfect wedding weekend. Highly recommend this venue.

As wedding photographers there is no better canvas for photos that Mountain Star Estate! The staff is amazing, the rooms for guests are beautifully decorated and well lit, the barn is beyond gorgeous and can be decorated in many different ways! The views of sunset are to die for!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect at Mountain Star Estate. Adrian was so helpful throughout the entire planning process and was a rock star during our wedding weekend, making sure every little detail was perfect. She is so positive and goes to every length to get things done for the bride and groom. The venue and setting is stunning - all of our guests thanked us for getting married here just because they were so happy to see beautiful Rangeley Lake! Our bridal party loved staying in the farmhouse and we all enjoyed the charm and decor in the farmhouse and the bridal cottage. We enjoyed every aspect of the property - BBQs on the lawn, drinks around the firepit, and of course our wedding in the gorgeous barn.

What an amazing place to get married, or celebrate any occasion really! The owners have put so much love, thought and hard work into making this a dream-come-true venue for a rustic/elegant farm/barn/shabby-chic backdrop. My wedding guests are still talking about how gorgeous the place was, and many are planning trips back to Rangeley for their own personal vacations. Look no further, this is the best you'll find!

We had our wedding at Mountain Star in December and it was INCREDIBLE. People are still raving about the venue almost two months later. Stacey is a complete rockstar and will work with you on every detail. She has a total no-stress attitude but can get the job done. Adrian was our day-of coordinator and she is also a BEAST! She really listened to everything we said, she totally understood the vibe we were going for and she brought our vision to life better than we could have imagined it. And then she cleaned it all up. Are you kidding?! What more can you ask for!! She was a total go-getter and a pleasure to work with. We drove 5 hours for the wedding and I forgot my veil. She went to work with my aunties scouring the town, calling anyone they knew, and she came back with a gorgeous headpiece that looked like it was made for the dress. I really can't say enough about this venue or the people that work there. Oh and the farmhouse--PERFECT. Our wedding party had an absolute blast and everyone loved being able to stay on the property the whole weekend. Highly recommended, especially if you have large wedding parties! Mountain Star Estate will bring your wedding dream to life!!

Recently attended a beautiful wedding at this facility!! Even with unpredictable weather in Maine they made it special! The views are breathtaking!

Love this place! I stayed in private rooms both times I was here and they were more B&B than hiker hostel, which is very good. The hiker bunk house looked pretty nice too.
I stayed here when I section hiked the App. Trail from mile 1969 to Mt. Katahdin and again when after I completed the trail. The family was very helpful in my journey with pickup and drop offs at the trail head and rides into town (10 mins away) for food and resupply at the local grocery.
They even let me stash my motorcycle in their garage for 3 weeks while I was hiking.

This is one of the best hostels on the entire AT. It's so well designed for the long distance backpacker. They have a fabulous resupply, shuttles into town, laundry with laundry clothes, TV with all the frills, and amazing upcycled decor and beds. It's a beautiful place and the folks who run it are generous and kind.

Calm and quiet hostle. Great family feeling. I happened to be there when "Mosey" was doing his famous hiker feed. So many people gathered together and had a wonderful time. The owners and their entire family work together to make a great hostle. Their event area should be done by the time I post this, it looked so beautiful and the setting is perfect for special occasions.

The room I stayed in was better than a hotel it had an oven with microwave, toaster,coffee pot even had coffee with sugar and creamer! Full kitchen including dishes. Very perimative farmhouse look. Very unique with the custom lights and sinks. I am very pleased with the 'apartment' I got for such a great price

I stayed and worked for Shane and Stacy for a few months after the trail they treated me like I was family as soon as I walked in the door Simply amazing people here great environment beautiful venue thank you
