Loon Lodge Inn and Restaurant

Had tremendous meals. Roast duck for myself and filet mignon for my wife as well as a satisfying bottle of wine. Although quite sated we split a ginger creme brule'. Delicious!! Tremendous atmosphere in a spectacular building. Service was attentive and personal.

Cozy little lodge on a lake. This is NOT a quiet getaway type of resort. They often have events and you will be sharing the lobby / lodge with guests at the fine dining restaurant after 5. You can hear everything from the rooms as people party or walk on the rustic foundation. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are having a wedding or event. Some blackout curtains would certainly be a nice addition to the rooms in the summer.

This was a Phenomenal staycation. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was five star quality. In speaking with the chef we told him how wonderful the food was, his first response was giving credit to all of the kitchen staff. He said he had phenomenal kitchen staff and could not do it without them. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The view from our room was spectacular, looking right out of window to Rangeley lake.
When we spoke with the manager, I told her how well-run the lodge seemed. Again her first response was giving all of the credit to the staff.
My wife and I have not had a vacation for quite a while and could not have asked for a better experience. There are many things to do and places to go.
My wife and I do want to recognize our bartender and server Mercedes.
My wife says she was incredible and I agree.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff that made our vacation so memorable.

Beautiful place, rooms are quiet and with the view on the lake, it’s was magical! Great food also at the restaurant! Staff is really nice! very authentic and beautiful!

Beautiful view from the dining room of the lake. Food and service was amazing! Make sure to leave room for dessert, you won't be disappointed! S'mores dessert was one of the best things I have ever had.

We had a great stay at Loon Lodge Inn. The room was cozy & clean. The staff is friendly, conscientious & TEAM oriented (wonderful to see them all having each others' back when it got busy). The location is ideal for a weekend of Saddleback skiing...(or snow-sledding or whatever floats your boat)!
Beautiful property. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in summer. Nice to see the history of the region preserved in this way.

We loved our stay at Loon Lodge! Super convenient for skiing at Saddleback. The place was very clean and cozy and the staff was kind, welcoming and helpful with information about the area. The warm fireplace and hot cocoa was the perfect thing to come home to after a day of skiing. Great Maine micro-brews on tap at the pub. We look forward to staying again soon!

The food at this place is fantastic. We tried the mussels and the lobster carbonara. The mussels were tender and delicious. Large portion, too.

The carbonara was equally tasty. We were thrilled with our meal, and we will return.

This place should rate 6 stars or more on a scale to 5! Sue is amazing and very knowledgeable! The restaurant has excellent food and a menu with lots of choices. The lodge itself is picture perfect! Very glad we chose to stay here.

This place was amazing! We only spent 1 night there, it wasn't even a whole night as we attended a concert at a nearby venue, but, in was beautiful. The service was amazing. After the concert we went back to the lodge I was hungry, so I asked the manager(? )If any where close was open she said no, but she could make me a salad, even though their restaurant was also closed I said thanks, but don't go out of your way. 15 minutes later she appeared with a beautiful salad. That was amazing. We will definitely go back when we have more time

Wow. We went to Pickford Pub in the lodge for dessert. We wound up ordering the Pickford Plate, a charcuterie board. It just have had an entire box worth of crackers, an amazing fig jam and a HUGE plate of olives, cheeses and meats! We expressed interest in staying here and were told we could get a tour.

Excellent extraordinaire beautiful inn and restaurant. Everything is so tidy well decorated and extremely clean. Special thanks to Sue for the great hospitality and Mercedes for the excellent drink.

Have stayed here for many years. Great location, good value, nice staff and fun pub. Highly recommended.

Made Loon Lodge our “romantic dinner” stop for the week we were in Rangeley and it was fantastic! One of the best dinners we have had! Will be back!

You can't beat the atmosphere in a historic log building and a wonderfully delicious meal!
Chef Brian has a great reputation and he didn’t disappoint tonight. The duck was great and my pork saltambocca was awesome.

Dining in the pub was fabulous. Meal presentation is flawless and food is delicious. New favorite restaurant in Rangeley area!

We had a wonderful time again at the lodge. The accommodations were perfect and we did almost 600 miles of riding. We saw amazing landscapes, moose and deer. We ended up eating every dinner at the lodge, which we hadn’t planned on, but the food and service were so good we didn’t feel like leaving.

Thank you again for a wonderful time and please thank Liz, Pat, Beth, and my cheerful friend making the yummy coffee in the morning. We look forward to seeing you all again next year
