I walked into Eric's shop knowing absolutely nothing about archery. He let me try a couple bows and after deciding on one (Hoyt Vicxen) Eric completely set it up to fit me. He helped with my form and technique. I couldn't have advanced as quickly in this sport as I did without the amazing equipment Eric set me up with. Anyone can go to a big name store and buy a bow off the shelf and start shooting it. But to have one completely customized to you takes your performance to a whole new level. The thing I appreciate the most is Eric's customer service and willingness to help did not stop after I bought the bow and left his store. As a result, we bought my boyfriend's RX-1, his son's bow, and my daughter's bow from Eric as well and his service never waivered. Buy local! Your purchase means the world to small business owners!

My daughter finished hunter safety and she wants to start learning bow. I am not an expert. Eric sold us a bow, yes, and set it up to fit my daughter until she grows, but the time he spent showing her HOW to shoot a bow properly was above and beyond. It was worth the extra drive to purchase at this shop

I bought my first bow here about a week ago. I had picked up a little bit of knowledge from some of the podcasts I had listened to, but in all honesty I knew next to nothing. Eric spent the time to have me shoot several bows, and figure out which one fit me the best in terms of the bow, the draw length, and the draw weight. We went through picked arrows, sights, releases, etc. And every step of the way he explained the why, what, and how of the equipment and the technique. He even stayed after closing time so I could shoot in the range and get sighted in. Despite the fact that there are closer archery shops to my current home, I have no doubt that I will be returning here in the future.

Awesome bow shop. Eric really knows his stuff when it comes to bows. You can go in there not knowing much and he will help you understand the proper way to shoot. Nice to have a local business like this around.

I recently stop in Apple tree Archery looking to buy a new crossbow. After looking around a little bit I talked to Eric and told him what i was looking for. He didn't have the crossbow that I was looking for in stock but said he would gladly order it for me. At witch time he asked me if I had ever looked at the Ten Point Nitro because he had this one in stock. I ended buying the Nitro. At witch time we went into the indoor range and Eric walked me though the steps of properly cocking and shooting the crossbow. Even thou I have owned other Ten Point crossbows. He also made sure it was sited in. I highly recommend Apple Tree Archery for any of Archery needs. Very professional and courteous service.

My wife and I walked in knowing almost nothing about archery. I had a used bow that I had bought from a friend of mine and needed some help but making sure it was ok to use and how to properly use it. The owner gladly took a look at it for me and suggested what i do to make sure it was safe to use. He installed all of the need parts as part of the item cost which was greatly unexpected! He also took the time to teach me the correct way to shoot a bow concidering i had never had before. He also spet quite a bit of time with me wife as she was interested in the sport as a hobby but was really unsure if it was something she wanted to do. She ended up getting her own bow as a christmas present that year and he did a great job naking sure she was comfortable and knew what she was doing. Move forward one yr....I upgraded my used bow i had and also purchased a taget bow from Apple Tree. My daughter has also joined in with us. He is great with kids as well, very patient. As a family we have found something that brings us together and a constructive activity we can all do together thanks to Apple Tree. We have also made some great friends along the through shooting his leauges and just spending time in the shop. I would recomend this place over anywhere else i have been!

Here’s what actually happened. First of all I invited this person into my shop while I was unlocking the door 30 minutes before I opened to the public. As I was walking in the door the phone was ringing so I answered it. I asked the person on the phone to please hold and then asked how I could help this person. He asked if I could cut some arrows and I said “Yes, I would be happy to but I do charge $5/arrow if it was not purchased in my store”. He asked if I was joking and I said no. Meanwhile I could hear the person on the phone asking if I was still there. I again asked them to please hold. He then told me that $5 was ridiculous and that he thought other places charged less. I said “Other places can charge what they want, this is what I charge”. I also mentioned that my arrow prices include cutting and gluing in inserts. I apologized but held to my price. He left while I was trying to tell the person on the phone that I would be right with them.
The great majority of my customers are very happy with my customer service. However, this person left my store without hiring me to provide a service. He merely disagreed with my price. Because of the circumstances that I explained, I feel it is unfair to have this poor review on Google.
He asked if I cut arrows, I told him yes and how much I charge. That is it. He chose to take them elsewhere. No hard feelings. That’s business. Please visit my Face Book page for more reviews, or better yet, please stop in and see what I have to offer so that you can form your own opinion. I look forward to helping you any way I can but please understand that I am running a business and I must charge for my services just like any other business.

Eric at Apple Tree Archery is first class! He went over and above for me as I prepare for an upcoming Colorado elk hunt. Archery is my passion, and I don't trust the hands of anyone other than the guys at Apple Tree with my equipment!

Dropped my crossbow I purchased from them out of stand and knocked sights loose. Came in next morning and they helped me straighten it out. I was back in my stand the same afternoon. Great service.

Long story short, went into the shop looking for information on the Garmin Xero bowsight. Eric, the owner, had experience with the sight and recommended it. Bought the sight from him since he said he would help set it up for free and I also purchased a new string, cable, release, and arrows to the tune of $1258.87. (I thought the string and cable price seemed high, but I had never purchased them before so I let it go). I then had problems with the sight and Garmin support suggested it was not set up correctly. Went back to Apple Tree and Eric said it was a bad sight that he set it up correctly. I sent it back to Garmin and then set the next one up myself and it works great. I noticed the arrows were not flying true, so I went back to Apple Tree for a paper tune. I shot two arrows through the paper, Eric adjusted the arrow rest, I shot one more arrow and again another adjustment, the 4th arrow flew true. I purchased three more arrows and field tips and went to pay the bill and was told it was $125. I was shocked and asked how much the arrows were and was told like $18 each. I left the shop and kept thinking about the price on the way home. When I looked at my receipt I saw that Eric's assistant charged me $65 for the arrow paper tuning which was 4 shots through paper and 2 adjustments all done in about 10 minutes. I made contact with Eric and asked if there was a mistake and was told no, that was the price. Sometimes it takes him a hour to get someone dialed in; when someone like me gets done in a short time, it helps cover other shop expenses. After complaining, Eric offered to give me my money back. I was not looking for a handout, just something resonable. I then called another archery shop to see what they charged for paper tuning. Based on this information I emailed Eric and suggested that rather than give me a full refund, he just refund me $40, not the $65. Eric replyed with a very demeaning email complaining about helping me with Garmin sight for free, saying I must value his service or I would be using my own shop at home, how dare me to tell him what to charge, etc..... Not Very Professional. Note: He did mail me the $65 in cash.

Went to go try new bows and figure out my draw weight and draw length. After asking the person behind the counter if I could do that. He stated "why so you can go buy it at other places" and that he won't unless I buy a bow from him. He was rude and wasn't very helpful unless I bought the equipment he recommended..... Arrogant, cocky, acted like he was was best, and degraded multiple successful archery businesses just try to make a sale. Unfortunately this is the only archery shop close to this area. I will be shopping elsewhere.

Walked in and asked if he could cut some arrows I got as a Christmas gift. Shop owner said it would be five bucks an arrow, so I laughed thinking he was joking. He glared at me and then said he was serious and told me to go somewhere else and that next time I should buy arrows from him if I want them cut. He then answered the phone in front of me and proceeded to ignore me until I left. Needless to say I won't be buying arrows there any time soon, I understand its a local store and I am all for buying local but I couldn't help that I got it from somewhere else as a gift. It has been a long time since I have experienced such poor customer service
