Gene's Croton Market

Been shopping here for years, 24 to be exact. Always check the sales they have great prices. I only shop here for all of the meat for my family. Such good quality and I always get it on sale!! Produce is always fresh too. The custom birthday cakes are very tasty and you can get what you want on a cake like extra roses etc. by request. The staff has always helped me in and out of the store as I am handicapped which is greatly appreciated. They even load the groceries in my van without me asking. Little things like that go a long way and mean a lot!! Thank you.

Great place to shop with a wide variety of foods. Friendly staff and a clean store. Fresh produce and a large variety of groceries. Prices are fair for the location (low traffic).

Gene's is a nice, small grocery store that caters to smaller towns. Naturally their prices are a bit high, but that's to be expected in a small, touristy kind of town. They have a nice selection and variety of items, considering they're a smaller store. The cashiers and deli personnel are always friendly and attentive, and the stockers never bat at eye at helping out if you need it. They do have sales often, as well, so that helps with the costs. Never had an issue at Gene's, and I do definitely recommend it.

It's good. New Owners. They are going out of their way to make customer's happy. Some of people who work there always friendly and happy. This means a lot. Sometimes shopping there can be the nicest thing that happens all day.

Stopped in to get fuel and they were helpful when using a company credit card to pay for the fuel.

Great store for such a small area. This is my go to for meat, especially beef steak. Gene's carries Choice Grade and is the only store around that does. The tenderness is unbeatable. They also have almost everything I need. Sometimes a larger store is what you need, but Gene's is quicker and less work because it is smaller. I do not find that the prices are higher. They still maintain the same sales their larger store in Grant has.

Biggest shout out to Gene's family market Croton MI team! I came In to the store today. I had lost a $5 bill. I called the store and they said if they find it they would give me a call. about 30 minutes later I received a call from the team member, telling me she had found my $5. Thank you for being honest

Great selection, very clean, nice staff.

Reasonably priced "Our Family" grocer. Small town friendly staff and great selection of breads, beers, meat, snacks and frozen entrees.

Between the dams, nice little local grocery store. They have a decent selection, as well as a small deli with hot food. With our cottage up the road, we hit it often in the summer.

Shopping local is a breeze at Gene's. They treat people like family here. And the deli chicken is the best around for a very reasonable price.

Shopping at Gene's has been an outstanding experience. Over the past two years. the selection of fresh vegetables, fruits and sandwiches has become multifarious , including an increasing array of condiments to choose from. The service at Gene's has always been and continues to be courteous, professional and always informative. Employees are friendly and helpful. Shelves are well stocked and store was very clean
