Modern Market

We retired to CNY and love this area, including Modern Market! Friendly, helpful staff, and an excellent selection especially considering it's a small country store The deli and baked goods shouldn't be missed!

We've been shopping at modern market a little more than 40 years starting back when the business occupied the space that is now dollar general. Its always a pleasant experience for us to shop at Modern Market.

Absolutely love modern market. I grew up in this town. They are a great small town grocery store. Prices are a little above average but it’s mostly good quality. The owners are wonderful people.

I like this store a lot they are an oasis in a food desert in Cayuga County. I like the way the staff looks out for each other. You don't need a loyalty card or any of that Wegmans/Tops/PC nonsense. The store is clean and well-lit and has a great beer cooler. True the prices can be high here but consider the location and if you peruse the aisles you will find bargains. THE BEST MEAT for miles around, friendly helpful butchers.

Great small town grocery store with the best meat market around. They have a full time butcher who grinds the meat making there own sausages, hamburgers, ham loaf, and about anything you could need or want. Fresh baked goods and sweets as well.

Nice store clean and friendly. Great selection of food and drinks as well as some camping essentials. Prices are good as well.

The Modern Market is a wonderful community grocery store. And I think the meat selections rival the mega grocery stores because they are much more tender and carefully cut. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh with a nice variety not usually found in a smaller grocery. A great asset for the Moravia community that is lacking in so many smaller communities. Thank you Modern Market.

Ran in just to grab a couple of coffees while driving through town and was pleased with the service and the coffee. Parking was a little scarce on a Saturday afternoon but we found a spot around back. Looks like a handy place to have in a little town.

Modern Market is a very family oriented store. Everyone is very happy and helpful. They have what you need when you need it. I really appreciate the service and cleanliness. If you are in the area you should stop by.

I always enjoy visiting the Modern Market...they almost always have what I want, they're friendly and courteous and I just enjoy walking in the store. Plus the day I was searching for my wallet and thought I might have left it there, the nice young cashier seemed happier than I was to have it returned to me.

AWESOME PLACE staff are awesome and so kind and it's easy to find what I need

MM has cake mix.
They bent over backwards, going so far as to supply loudly complaining men with cardboard boxes to carry their groceries with after the plastic bag ban went into effect.
+5 stars for no plastic bags by the March deadline!
+5 stars for gracefully handling the owner of an unoccupied, idling F150 who wanted bags anyway!

Great people and store

Cassie in the deli went WAAAAY out of her way to help me put together a retirement party in literally ONE DAY during our worst snow storm of the season!

Prices are a little high but the atmosphere is what I like and don't mind paying a little extra to not have to drive to Auburn or Ithaca even Cortland
