Aunt Chubby's Luncheonette

Boy has this place changed since I was a kid, but definitely awesome changes. It is a very cute spot to eat, the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The food is amazing. I got the Jersey Benedict and it was very filling and flavorful. The server was polite and the food came out quickly. Great little spot to meet up and have a flavorful bite to eat. Also they do a lot to support local area food justice and resources. So not only is it good food, but you can feel good eating it as well.

Was passing through Hopewell and was hungry. Had time to kill before work. Food was absolutely delicious. Bacon egg and cheese. Even came with some incredible breakfast potatoes. Everything was perfectly seasoned, the egg was perfectly cooked a little runny. Atmosphere inside seemed like a perfect little cozy neighborhood spot. One guy came in and the waitress knew his coffee order. Just seems like a great neighborhood restersunt I wish I lived closer to.

If you are looking for a lovely place to eat simple and tasty food, here is it. We really enjoyed our first launch at Aunt Chubby’s. Serving was fast, staff was very friendly and caring, plates were generous, food was delicious, desserts were excellent (with gluten-free options), and prices very reasonable. We promised to come back and we did for lunch and for a private party. Always an amazing experience with two fabulous hosts, Amanda and Max, and their great team. Thank you for your great food and your generosity.

Swung by here on a quick trip to Hopewell. Incredible service. Coffee was slammin’. Baked goods were incredible. I will have to go back for hot food.

This is such a phenomenal place! Aysha is great! The owner is wonderful. When walking in. It’s such a different place for a diner. The biscuits and gravy is well worth it. They are large and flavorful. The onion rings are soooo good and crispy. Thanks guys!

Aside from the truly delicious food, it's the cozy, charming atmosphere and warm, friendly staff that make going to Aunt Chubby's so lovely. It feels as if you're visiting a literal relative who goes all out to make you feel welcome and comfortable. They come say hello and get to recognize and know their customers, unlike some anonymous chain restaurant. It's a good thing I don't live too close, or I'd be "Customer Chubby" from inhaling their amazing lattes , (pumpkin spice with whipped cream is especially delicious, as is their regular latte). Go early to get a seat - Chubby's fills up fast!

This place is the best! Cozy and comfortable with the friendliest service. The food is simple but delicious! Never thought I’d be raving about scrambled eggs but they were SO good! And I’m case you’re dining with little ones, rest assured that the food will come quickly. I’m so glad I found this little gem and can’t recommend it enough!

Great brunch spot. They serve biscuit and gravy with eggs on the weekend only. Definitely worth it. They serve breakfast all day and offer lunch menu after 11:30am, if you want to best of both worlds. Also next to the restaurant there is a food pantry that could donate food or e-donation for people in need.

The best pastries. Love the molasses cookies. They make a really good grass fed beef burger too. Got a delicious vegan apple celery soup from there today... Did not disappoint. Love it here!

Hopewell is so cute and this restaurant is tucked into a lovely neighborhood.
Definitely get there early on the weekends! The inside is charming and quaint. Within 3 minutes, at least 5 people had said hello to us! Great customer service.
Our server Olivia gave great recommendations. She even let me try the ranchero sauce for the breakfast burrito. It wasn’t to my taste so I went for savory pancakes. Really yummy! Yes, slight corn taste but I liked it! Note the maple syrup is about an ounce if you pay extra for it. A side note: I thought the prices were fair. You can tell this place has quality food and drinks. They use the best products, so I didn’t mind the prices.
My Mom couldn’t help herself and got the dark chocolate milkshake. I believe they use gelato for the milkshakes…incredible!
French toast is only for the weekends and it’s worth the wait. Creamy with berries, it’s a sweet treat.
Before you leave, don’t miss the pastries!! The polenta cake is moist and reminds me of traveling through the South. The lemon blueberry cake…heavenly!!! Olivia also recommended the almond croissant and that was delicious too.
I was so impressed with the teamwork and how many server assistants and bussers there were working together. Every single worker we encountered was cordial and some even went above and beyond.
Best of all, this morning really made my Mom smile and that’s what made it so special to me. We will definitely be back and bringing the whole fam! Thank you for a wonderful morning Aunt Chubby’s.

I love breakfast food, so this place is right up my alley. I brought my staff here to the luncheonette for an early breakfast and was politely welcomed inside prior to opening (ok, it was five minutes early, but they insisted we not stand out waiting in the cold!).

Biscuits and gravy were tasty, paired with some scrambled eggs.

It will be hard to resist returning soon!

Great people who do so much for the community. Unfortunately I’ve never eaten here as there is nothing gf/vegan for breakfast (coffee was good.) Hope one day they expand to have more breakfast options! Nice outdoor seating options.

Update: Thanks for the reply! Oatmeal is listed on the special board for $9 (made with oat milk.) I didn’t see it though so just got fruit for breakfast, which was lovely. The gf bread has egg, so it’s not vegan. Other options felt too limited after omitting things (hold the egg, cheese, etc.) I’ll keep holding out for more dedicated/complete vegan options 🥰 Husband got avocado toast with a side of black beans.

We recently moved to Hopewell and Chubby's is by far the best spot for breakfast/brunch that we've been to. It's usually pretty packed - for good reason. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

My parents have been here a few times and rave about how good it is. I paid Aunt Chubby a solo visit a few weeks ago. I thought, why not write a review.

Well, it definitely lived up to the hype. This is your quintessential neighborhood, hidden gem. You know, the place that only the locals know about. This is it. As cliché as it may sound, you really feel like you just woke up and having Sunday breakfast at your aunt or grandma's house, out in the country.

Staff, food, service, atmosphere, all fantastic. Seating is small and intimate, yet cozy. Orange juice and coffee are fresh as can be and taste just as you imagine they should.

The pancakes and bacon taste and look like they were made in a skillet that's a few centuries old...which is a good thing. Speaking of pancakes, they're without a doubt the best pancakes I've ever had in any restaurant in the world, and I've had pancakes in Hong Kong. I will hold off on explaining them, not to spoil the experience. Try them yourself and thank me later.

Everything here is done and made with love. Those who work here really care, a lot about what they do. 5/5, without a second thought.

Phenomenal food, phenomenal service. Their specials are to die for. The fried chicken sandwich with fries is amazing. Their breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, and breakfast tacos are my favorites from the breakfast menu. It's a great sitdown place just for two or for the family. Cannot recommend enough.

I love this place. I just moved to Hopewell and this place makes Hopewell feel like home. I hope they never, ever close. The food is amazing.... French toast. Huevos rancheros. Lemon blueberry cake. Fresh OJ. Great coffee. Everyone is super friendly. Not a single complaint.

An authentic and cozy breakfast spot located just off of the Main Street in Hopewell, Aunt Chubby’s offers delicious food and warm service. The breakfast burrito is a hit here. We also went with the tacos, which were good but came in second place. Prices are very reasonable.

Such a cute place. Lynne, the owner, came by our table to chat after our meal. Everything was tasty and hot. Would come back!
