Budget Host-Ken's Motel

This place is a gem. It has the cleanest rooms I've seen in any place. Furniture is dated, but very well kept. Bed is comfortable. I love the recliner in the room. I have a full size fridge, with access to a microwave in the lobby. I would love if they added an outside seating area or picnic tables. It's quiet and extremely affordable.
The website currently says it's pet friendly, but they recently changed that policy and no longer allow pets. Very close to a few restaurants as well.

Ken's Motel Is the best in the area.

My husband and I spent the night while heading home from Washington state. The room was large and clean. There was a full size refrigerator but no microwave. A microwave is available in the office. TV was not huge but big enough. Very quiet. There are several restaurants within walking distance including a really good Mexican restaurant across the street. Cheap rates! Highly recommend.

This was my first experience in this hotel,is like everybody said,very clean,it is a very nice place for spend couple nights,etc

Definitely the best hotel deal I have had in the post COVID era. 59ish including tax! Of course it is dated at that price but reasonably clean. And walking distance to downtown or local strip businesses. Had the ac going in fan mode and had no noise issues. One reviewer complained of train noise but I had no issues.

Needed a place to stay after a long day of driving, the lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful, room was spacious, clean, and fairly priced. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay along my roadtrip!

We were so tired after two of us taking turns driving for 34 hrs straight and the road conditions became pretty bad with snow and ice. The next exit was Aurora and there was only 1 motel/hotel option so I called over there. We were a bit early for their usual check-in time but the staff graciously let us check into a room for a nap and shower. We were out in under 5 hrs. We were refreshed and ready for the last leg of our trip and the snow had a chance to melt. I'd stay here again if I ever come this way again. The room was clean and the price is right. It may not be the Ritz, but it is exactly what you would hope it to be. We had a great stay at Ken's. First off: it's clean! No lingering smoke or other unwanted odors. The rooms are spacious! Queen bed with room for a recliner, a table and two chairs, plus a dresser and another table and chair again the wall. The individual room air conditioner kept us cool. I loved the full-sized fridge! Which means an attached freezer that actually keeps items frozen. The bathroom was a little small, but fine for me and, again, clean. All in all, we had a great night of sleep and enjoyed this beautiful small town.

We had a great stay at Ken's motel. We had driven 12 hours and needed a place that accepted dogs and had parking lot access from the room. This was great for our dogs and they don't charge a pet fee!!! There is a great park near the motel and the town is very clean and cute! The woman at the front desk was very kind, efficient, and made booking and check-in so easy. We would absolutely stay here again! Thanks!

It was really nice. Everything was spotless, crisp and unbelievably clean. The room had a comfortable. recliner, a full size refrigerator, lots of electrical sockets for recharging, breakfast table, etc., in addition to the regular amenities. It didn't have a microwave but there's a microwave in the lobby you can use. The hosts were kind, conscientious and considerate. Class for a budget price.

I broke down in the middle of the night on I-80. I got my ride dropped here, and I stayed the night. They were very accommodating and understanding of my situation. They let me tinker on my ride until I fixed it the next morning. It wasn't a major overhaul, but they were gracious enough to allow me to do some work under the hood for a few hours.

The rooms are updated, and the level of cleanliness was top notch. Everything you'd want in a night stay but at half the price. If you're thinking about staying here, don't: just call em up and get yourself booked. You won't regret it.

We were off the beaten path and just happened to drive by this cool place on our way to York.. (it’s between Grand Island and York on hyw 34)

The best stay on our cross country trip by far!!! The rooms were immaculate. They smelled great, water pressure was excellent, staff was friendly and courteous, beds were comfortable, towels were white and fluffy. There was even a heat lamp in the bathroom. The only tiny negatives was they only had bar soap and it was close to the train tracks. A++ would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Clean, friendly and great value! What's not to like? Ok, you wanting continental breakfast, a workout room and an indoor swimming pool? Move on. We got stuck in a snow storm and had to pull off for the night. Ken’s was an oasis on the plains. Rooms are not fancy but the beds are comfy, it is CLEAN AND THESE FOLKS RUN A NICE PROPERTY. $50 a night and that is a bargain. You will not be sorry!

I've stayed at Ken's Motel on a couple occasions when the snow and ice were so bad that I couldn't leave town. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The rooms were always clean and smelled fresh. Nicely updated. I will definitely stay at this establishment again and the price is very affordable.
The only drawback I had was with the parking lot being so icy and the slope of the driveway, I had a very hard time getting in the parking lot.
I'd highly recommend Ken's Motel if needing a nice place to stay while visiting Aurora, NE. Have a great day!

a wonderful Motel, I slept like a rock. On a trip to Western Nebraska we stopped on our first night at Ken's, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is definitely a case that you get what you pay for, don't expect a continental breakfast and other types of amenities like that. The room was very clean though and the bed was extremely comfortable. After making our way to Western Nebraska we decided on our way back that we would stop at Ken's again. On a second night there I slept like a rock again. I rate hotels based on how well I sleep both times it cans it was quiet and the room was very comfortable. I recommend this hotel to any traveler who needs to get a good night's sleep.

A wonderful experience! The hotel is very clean, and priced very well. The hotel was quiet and I was able to get a good night's sleep. We traveled through and stayed and then on our way back through two days later we stayed again. The owner and his wife are wonderful, very friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and very well stocked. if traveling through eastern Nebraska I recommend staying at this hotel.

Great, clean, large room. A lot of up to date work done to this hotel. It still has a few things you expect from a budget hotel, but I was more than satisfied with my accommodations. Priced well below what some hotels ask for rooms no where near as nice as these. Will definitely stay again next time I pass through.

We were traveling through Aurora NE and came across this quaint little motel. Was pleasantly surprised. 4 miles from the loves fuel station. Motel was VERY CLEAN. Very quiet. There was absolutely NO riff raff. It was a very reasonable price. Far better than your average hotel. Will I be back?.....ABSOLUTELY.
