Beyond the Daily Grind Cafe

I've been wanting to stop at this café for awhile but the timing just never worked out...until yesterday. Loved it! Such an inviting and comfortable atmosphere, clean with plenty in the atmosphere to absorb during the short wait for your food. I enjoyed a classic BLT with a cup of delicious Italian sausage vegetable soup! The server was very friendly and I look forward to bringing others into this space - highly recommend!

I was in the area from out of town for a construction job.I did a search on my phone for breakfast in the area from my hotel.Not being a fan of chain restaurants I decided to give this small /local restaurant a shot, and what a great choice it was!The environment was great, owner Heather was very personable, And above all the food was fantastic!It was so good I choose to eat there every morning. I was so impressed with the homemade biscuits and gravy that I got an order to bring back home to the wife who also fell in love with them.
If in the area I highly recommend this place.

1st timers there and it was a spectacular experience. The service, atmosphere and food was great. The sausage 😍 is homemade. We will definitely be back.

I usually search Google maps to find interesting little places when we travel and this one did not disappoint. They have great food, excellent service, and a very comfortable atmosphere. We will stop by again when passing through.

Love this spot. My family and I were visiting Mauston for a relatives b-day and found this spot off Yelp. So solid we came here twice and would have made it a third if they were open Sunday. Super friendly folks, food was awesome and very accommodating to our nutritional standards and requests! The vibe within the space made you feel like a small town, local buiz where it's filled with nothing but regulars who love supporting them because they over deliver and make them feel awesome every single time. If you're a local here, you probably already know about this spot and come often! If you're visiting, then you've got to check this spot out!

It was recommended by Hammond Auto Repair for me to wait while they worked on my car. It is a very inviting atmosphere, coffee was great, food was great, and definitely return.

I am from out of state and in Mauston for a couple days. Brought in my laptop and enjoyed breakfast, coffee and lunch, tea. Service was amazing and food was wonderful. Atmosphere was welcoming and I witnessed other patrons meeting and enjoying the felllowship. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Most friendly service I've ever received. The food was great, highly suggest the 3 grain pancakes. The wait for food was a little longer than a big breakfast chain, but it was 100% worth the wait. The coffee is probably the best I've ever had while eating out. Rich and smooth. The atmosphere was amazing, as soon as you walk in you feel at home. The portions leave you full with extra to take home, and the pricing doesn't hurt the bank even going as a family. If you're reading reviews trying to decide if you want to go or not, stop. Just go, take a seat, and enjoy. You won't regret it. This was my first experience with them, I had friends recommend it. After going I completely agree with their recommendations.

Stopped here after looking online for lunch in Mauston on our way to MN. It is such a nice place with very “happy and inspiring” decor. Both husband and I had a nice lunch and really good coffee. Hubby decided on breakfast menu, which they honor all day. Pleasant ladies in kitchen and serving. We will return again. Loved all the added angels around too. Clean restrooms.

The coffee is delicious! The 3-grain pancakes are amazing and the bacon is crisp! What's even better is the atmosphere. Worship music while having breakfast with a friend makes the perfect start to any day. We will definitely make a habit of supporting this local business! It's nice to have an uplifting place to go to.

My husband and me had an incredible breakfast at this friendly Cafe last week. I ordered the 3-grain pancakes with orange zest and my husband had an omelet chocked full of sautéed veggies and a bit of bacon with hash browns on the side. We shared our plates and chowed down to one of the most delicious meals we had in a long time. The service was even better while our type of music played softly in the background. It was a memorable experience!!!

Lovely, quaint atmosphere. The portions were on the smaller side, but satisfying - and frankly better than restaurants that serve unnecessarily-large plates of food. That said, if you're looking for a quick bite, friendly service, and good-quality coffee, this is a nice place to go.

When we travel we like to hit the mom and pop business's instead of large chain joints. We strolled into Beyond the daily Grind late morning. The owner put on a fresh pot of coffee for us and apologized for the three min wait. My fiance chose bacon and pancakes large stack and I was intrigued by the tarragon chicken salad along with a cup of tomato bisque. We were served water and coffee promptly. The coffee was rich and full flavored. Add in we're standard creamers in little packets. Our meal came quickly with nice flat crisp meaty bacon and fluffy pancakes. The syrup was standard packets of maple but there was real butter.. yum. My sandwich was nice the chicken was moist, not to much Tarragon to overpower the salad had the pecans which I enjoy. The coursant was fresh a smaller perfect lunch size. They accommodated the coursant as normally the chicken salad is served on bread.My plate came with a crisp dill. The soup had small diced tomatoes a nice texture with a tad bit of heat. Not a bland soup. Not a heavy cream based but nice. Over all a nice experience.. Too up there game would be nice to have a assortment of syrups and always even with a soup and sandwich serve with cracker. Give this place a try.. also it's a Christian based owner a thumbs up in our book.

Really great coffee ! This shop, operated by Bunny should be on everyone's list of where to get a coffee and a bite to eat. I had my coffee and a bowl of biscuits and gravy that was fantastic. The atmosphere, created by Bunny, definitely felt like sitting in a relatives kitchen enjoying coffee and a snack. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Great tasting food, and good portions. Bacon was delicious, smoky, salty & crisp. Bread is their own homemade.
Bunny, the owner, was very friendly & chatted with us a bit.
They have WiFi & are not far off of the interstate.
I've marked them on my map & we'll be stopping here again!

Great food, kitchen and wait staff was fantastic. We had a party of nine and they seated us right away! Super clean cute place to eat!
