Hugo's Colorado Beer & Spirits

Love that this place is right around the corner from me. This shop is small, but mighty with a well-curated offering of beer and wines. (I am less of a liquor purchaser, so I can't speak to those, though they seem great.)

Depending on who is behind the register, you may have someone who is more or less knowledgable about wines. But the owner really knows his stuff, and I trust almost all that's he's selected for the shop, so it's hard to go wrong.

Set your bar high and this is the top shelf above. Masterfully curated selection focusing on quality with an angle aiming at as much local Colorado as qualified. Knowledgeable, engaging, fun staff fills out the warming environs.

Easily Denver’s best craft beer shop. Amazing selection with lots of limited releases from breweries up and down the front range. I have my go-to’s but also like trying new things, and the staff is always helpful in pointing out what they like and what’s selling well.

My go to liquor store in cap hill/Congress park. I’ve moved about 5 miles away and still make the effort to come back to Hugo’s

Came to visit Denver for a week. I love all craft beer but in a huge city it’s hard to find a place that has a good selection of craft. The owner was super helpful and incredibly friendly, taking probably 10 mins to talk with me about the local stuff. They have a very wide and extensive list of styles and different companies. Being unfamiliar with the area he also recommended his favorite breweries and areas to go hang out, all which were spot on. Again, great place, and super friendly. Go check them out!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They carry cider from Summit Brewing Co, including my wife's favorite Della's Apple Strudel cider. It's sweet, and it tastes like drinking Apple pie.

Parking at Hugo's is a little tight. There's a lot in back. On-street parking in this neighborhood is usually packed.

It's a bit of a drive for me to get here. I'm coming from Lakewood. It's totally worth it for the nice people and the fact that we can get my wife's favorite cider.

Prices on several items were cheaper than Argonaut. Selection is more concentrated and the quality is great. The shop is clean and very well laid out, it's a small space with a good amount of selection but it doesn't feel cramped. Staff is great and will help you with any questions. My go-to liquor store for Cheesman park days.

Visited for the first time tonight and the cashier was super helpful and friendly. Prices were not bad at all. I think I just found my favorite place to shop for adult beverages! I definitely recommend.

Best liquor store I've been to. All of the guys on staff are friendly and open to conversations and recommendations. The selection is mostly Colorado made, which, why go further? Support a small business that supports local brewers/distillers! Everybody wins!

My husband & I are here from NJ & are enjoying IPAs these days & are especially eager to try local brews. We feel extremely fortunate to have found Hugos & the advice by Tobin who works there, has made our visit more pleasurable. They have an impressive beer selection.

Best liquor store in Denver! Hugo's always has an excellent selection of local and unique microbrews, wine and spirits. It is my go-to place for sour beers, unique bombers, and those limited release beers that you can't seem to find anywhere else. I always come away with something new and delicious.

Great neighborhood store to pick up quality craft beer. They have a mix and match 6 cans for $12 out the door. Very reasonable price for picking individual craft brews.

Excellent selection of local and regional brews. I especially like their "mix-and-match" style six pack, which (for $12) allowed me to sample various brews without having to buy a six pack of any one particular brew.

Definitely my go-to place when going beer shopping. Excellent selection at exceptional prices. Plus, I love the small, local, neighborhood feel of this place. Much better than going to the larger, supermarket liquor stores.

Cool little place with an eclectic selection. Beer, wine or spirit tasting on the daily. Good variety of Colorado made liquors. A bit pricey, but only as would be expected for the location and excellent customer service.

FABULOUS place to get a bottle of wine from a small, but well-curated selection. Lots of Colorado beers too! Very friendly staff who get to know you, and dogs are welcome!
