My visit to Daniel Drake Park, a location I had been eager to explore, was a delightful experience. Upon arrival, I found the park's parking situation to be quite interesting. The multiple small lots scattered throughout were only partially occupied, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. It quickly became apparent that this park is a favorite among the locals. I encountered several friendly dog walkers, and the cheerful laughter of children playing in the playgrounds. It was heartwarming to see the community come together to enjoy this outdoor haven. The park's thoughtful amenities contributed to its appeal. Benches were strategically placed, providing ideal spots to rest and soak in the natural surroundings. Convenient drinking fountains ensured that visitors could stay refreshed during their outdoor adventures. A shelter, complete with restrooms and a grill, offered a place to gather and enjoy a meal in the midst of nature. My exploration of Daniel Drake Park led me along a well-maintained, paved trail. While the path offered no shade, it was well-cared for. Along the way, I noticed an interesting feature—the trail seamlessly transitioned into a dirt path that ventured into a tranquil woodland area. This part of the park was a refreshing change, with the dense canopy of trees providing a much-needed respite from the sun's rays. Educational signs along the path, part of a "Describe Learning Course," added an element of discovery to my walk. Near the shelter, I came across a makeshift tennis court, and it occurred to me that it might be time to consider upgrading this area of the park to enhance the overall experience for visitors. However, the crowning jewel of Daniel Drake Park was the overlook area. From this vantage point, I was treated to breathtaking views of the majestic mountains in the distance. The sight was truly awe-inspiring and added a sense of grandeur to my visit.
Overall, I would recommend Daniel Drake Park to anyone in the area. Its popularity among locals, combined with its thoughtful amenities and the natural beauty of the surroundings, make it a perfect destination for a day of outdoor exploration and relaxation.

A nice park for walking your pets. The park is located in Kennedy Heights, above Oakley, close to Red Bank Expressway, just up the hill from Seven Hills School. There are swings for kids and a few picnic areas.

Fantastic, small, peaceful park with beautiful views. Walking trail and an overlook. Almost no one was there, and it was a beautiful day to watch planes fly over on their way to CVG and Lunkin.

It's just a park for I would say a get together or just to relax it's quiet. There are picnic tables, grills, swings, play area for children, and a shelter area that has restroom when open, there is also a small nature trail. I've enjoyed visiting this park since I was a child we used to have family reunions here.

Great spot to have a gathering for a cookout! The shelter, tables, grill, and restrooms made this a great spot for a large gathering of friends late July. It's on top of a hill, so there is a nice breeze, even if it's hot. It's only $50 to reserve on a weeknight.

This was my first time visiting Drake Park. The park was quiet and peaceful on this Thursday morning. The only trails I found were paved and relatively flat, but I ended up walking off the trail near the lookout to work my legs on some hills. With the trees fully foliated, the overlook wasn't very scenic, but nature itself was an entertaining show. Looks like a great place to get some fresh air and walk the dog. There is a small playground for kids. I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

i got married here! this park has the most beautiful shelter i have ever seen. It was very affordable and easy to rent a shelter. I love the view from the hill, that they have enough of parking spots, clean restrooms, and cute little playground-- i love every aspect of this park. Highly recommend for family occasions like picnic or graduation party or wedding.

Not a large play ground but nice. There are a lot of rolling hills and a beautiful look out with a lot to see. Great place for a picnic and a walk. People were bringing dogs for walks. All-in-all it's a nice quiet park.

This is a nice quiet park. I wish the swings were closer to the rest of the playset but there is a brief walking trail from the swings to the playset. Nice for older kids. My little ones would probably think the walk is too long and want to be carried.

Daniel Drake is a beautiful park in a great neighborhood, and is well maintained. My only criticism is that I wish they would add more playground equipment (they certainly have the space) and would trim some of the trees that obscure the view at the overlook .

Nice suburban park with a striking overlooking view of the I-71 “CUT IN THE HILL”
There are playgrounds that are closed due to Covid-19, however it’s still a very nice little park with a walking path and interesting history of origin.
