The coolest place to stop and see true Wisconsin cheese being made. The owner was very nice and told us all about what was going on. Learned more about cheese then I ever thought I would. And the cheese curds were fresh (still warm) and amazing!

This wonderful family owned creamery is not to miss if you are in the area. In fact, they are worth a trip if you are not in the area. This creamery and shop is nestled in a quaint and well kept downtown. You can find their cheeses in a cooler up front. And you can watch them make some cheese if you are early enough.

Don’t miss the 15 year cheddar and triple play (extra innings). Super special cheeses.

When you are a cheese curd snob, it's always a search for the best. These curds are so good, they almost squeak before they reach your mouth! Hooks cheese will ALWAYS be a must stop on our semi annual trips through Wisconsin. The best curds ever!

Started buying cheese there in 1995 due to a coworker asking me if I ever had Hooks pepper jack cheese telling me how good it was. At that time I had never even had pepper jack so I stopped picked some up one day after work. Well here we are 2023 and I'm still buying it there along with all my other cheese needs! Great cheese factory all their cheese is excellent and they hands down have the best pepperjack around!

I'll drive clean across the state for this cheese. Tony is a great guy. Must try curds. And what's not to love about mineral point ? Make a day of it !

We were traveling cross county and wanted some local Wisconsin cheese. We are glad we stopped! Great selection of flavored cheeses. We chose cow, goat and sheep cheeses. The gentleman who helped us was knowledgeable and very kind. Seemed like a great family owned business!

What a fabulous and no-nonsense experience. The cheese itself is amazing. The "store" is essentially a small portion of the factory so you can walk in and observe the experts at work. And the number of awards and ribbons on the walls and laying around in stunning. It's no frills, no nonsense and fantastic. We can't wait to return for more cheese.

If you don't know Hooks cheese, you want to. This family makes great cheese for every kind of cheese lover. We've been spending more and more time at their tent Saturday's at the Dane County Farmers market. Personable and knowledgeable staff make the experience a real treat.

Recently purchased a block of their 1 year aged cheddar from Whole Foods in Madison. Noticed that it tasted "funny", so I let Hook's know about it. Remarkably, the owner responded to me personally, including offering to send me some cheese to make up for the less than usually spectacular experience. Incredible. Best cheese, best service ever.

Hook's cheddar is, bar none, the best in the state. That makes it the best in the world. The taste of their 7 year aged cheddar is like a drop of heaven. I can't even BEGIN to describe how good the higher years are. Their Blue Paradise is the perfect cheese for bacon bleu burgers, actually able to be sliced without crumbling. All and all, all of their cheeses are legendary.

My nephew is from Wisconsin and came down to Oklahoma to visit and he brought my mom, his grandmother 3 different types of cheese. Aged 7 years sharp cheddar, aged 2 year white sharp cheddar, and bacon cheddar.
We have only opened the 7 year and OH MY GOODNESS it's amazing!

I am a blue cheese lover and Hook's Cheese has THE best Gorgonzola I have ever tasted. So smooth and creamy too! I usually obtain my Gorgonzola from their booth at Madison's Farmer's Market on Saturdays.
