I rented a 3 bed 2 bath unit in Royal Palm from Lydia Gates, and she was the most unprofessional and disorganized agent I have ever worked with. Lydia turned the unit over to me in complete disarray. She had 9 days from the time the previous tenant moved out until I moved in to have it cleaned and perform minor repairs. She did not do either. The day of the walk thru I found the unit to have rotting food in the sink, mold and mildew in the refrigerator, mold on the cabinet underneath the kitchen sink, dried feces and dirt on the laminate floor, old gum stuck on the laminate floor, patio screens torn off, urine on the toilet seats and clogged drains in both bathrooms. I made sure to document this thoroughly with plenty of pictures. Lydia did send a cleaning lady over the very next day after I moved in, however she did not clean anything. The only reason I even knew the cleaning lady had come over while I was at work was because she had left her card on the kitchen counter. I spent the next several days scrubbing that place clean from top to bottom. Lydia wanted me to not move in and come back another day. I already had a lease signed with the move-in date, and a moving truck filled with my belongings. I don't know how more unprofessional one can get than that. I do not recommend using Lydia Gates as your real estate agent.
