The price was dead on for the fantastic service here and the hair cut I got was exactly what i wanted. Its a nice throw back barber shop, busy but busy for a good reason. Parking outside is tricky, but I didnt have to wait long. They take walk-ins or appointment. Cash or card.

As a son of an "old-time" barber, I know what to expect and was very pleased by the atmosphere and service of Royal Barber Shop.
Chris, my barber, provided an excellent cut with all the traditional extras of eyebrow, ear hair trimming and neck shaving.
Royal Barber Shop gets it right, at a price I'm very comfortable with. Make sure you call ahead. They do not accept walk-ins.

You need an appointment but Chris is my barber and does a great job and I get a sucker when I am done!

Love this place. My go-to. Only 15 bucks for a regular haircut which is incredible for the attention to detail they provide. One time I had one gentleman spend a full 20 mins blow drying my hair and ensure every hair was in place. All the barbers are super decent and friendly people, and the decor is amazing to look at while you are waiting. Not a fan they only play Republican TV channels but I have no blame for that as that is likely the preference for the area and honestly a 50/50 chance.

Stopped in after seeing all of the great reviews on here and yelp. Craig was able to fit me in between appointments and gave me a great cut. It had been a long time since I had been to a barber shop, I forgot how great the experience is. The straight razor shave of the neckline alone was almost worth the cost of the cut. I'm not sure you can find a better value elsewhere in the city.

I came in here while my wife and I where down here shopping. It was well worth it! I came in and sat down as other guys were being taken care of. Tim came in and got me going right away with a head shave, one of the best I've ever had!! I also had him trimmed me beard down closer to my face, I had quite a big beard. He took his time and made sure it was perfect. It looks so much better. Wife was well pleased as well. I'll definitely be back!!

I’ve been coming to Royal Barbers since I was around 3 years old (over 25 years) and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

I now get what it means when people say they can’t “cheat” on their barber.

I moved from Columbus 18 months ago. My barber there was fantastic and cut my hair as well as any other male member of my immediate family. Since moving here I have been to 6 different places with prices ranging from $13-$40, some were very bad some were OK but none were great. I went here this past weekend and have found my new barber. The barbers all seemed great as everyone I saw leaving had a quality cut and I was extremely pleased with mine. I got my usual cut but decided to go a little shorter on the sides with the clippers. My barber showed me a test run on my sideburns first to make sure I liked it and then executed a detailed and wonderful hair cut. Well done. Myself and my two young sons will be going here from now on.

Four to five barbers working, but the wait can be a little long at times. That should tell you 2 things. These guys take their time and they are awesome. I live downtown and drive to Kenwood just for a haircut. I won't go anywhere else.

Craig is the GOAT. Prices are still reasonable despite recent inflation hits everywhere else. Best barbershop in the city!

Best barbershop in Cincinnati. I drive from kentucky because when you find a good barber you stick with him. I went through a few until I found Royal barbershop, Craig and his fellow barbers won't let you down. They take walk in's as well as appointments. They take thier time and do it right not like the chain so called "hair salons" that have a time limit between customers and your out of chair as soon as you sit in it. Royal barber shop is a throw back to how barber shops used to be, good service, good conversation and a great hair cut

This is a great Barber shop. I was able to walk in and only waited for five to ten minutes before one of the seven barbers was available(I am not sure if they have seven on staff but there were seven chairs). The look and feel of the place reminded me of being in a military barber shop and they know what they are doing with that style.

If you are looking for a place that can nail any type of military hair style, look no further. They even finish with a straight razor shave on the back of the neck and hairline. This is one of the few shops in Ohio that still does this.

been going to this barber shop for 40 years. Tim was my barber until he passed away not too long ago. Very sad. His son now works there. A wonderful traditional old-fashioned style barber shop where you can just hang out and read a paper if you want to.

I have been getting my haircut here for 38 yrs. NO ONE ELSE has touched my hair except Tim during that time. He is AMAZING! I am still getting the same quality cut that I got the first time that I walked into the shop (when it was next to J. Riggins in the Kenwood Mall - for those old timers that can remember that). They are still reasonable and you get the neckline straight razor trim after each cut as well. You cant beat it! I would STRONGLY suggest giving them a try! You will NOT REGRET it! They are the BEST in CINCY!!!

For me, this is the only barbershop in Greater CIncinnati. These guys cut hair patiently, they trim beards carefully, and are just all around great people. I compete in beard competitions for charity, and when I need a trim, I go right to Royal Barber Shop. They accept walk-ins and appointments. For the quality and service, you cannot beat the price. C'mon, look how happy I am!

I have been coming here for 28 years, had my first haircut here as will my son. Service is great, seems like one of the only places to get your neckline straight razored. Craig, Fred and Tim all do great work. Just walk in.
