De-Onna's Restaurant

Today was my first time that I ate at this restaurant, and even though that the restaurant is small, I really loved the atmosphere, how clean it was, and the server who served me and rang me out was very nice and friendly.

Just a reminder: De-Onna’s is cash only and they do not accept debit and credit cards, but they do accept checks, and be sure to take money out of your account before you come here.

On the other hand, the lentil soup was very nice and hot.

Would I go here again? Absolutely yes!

Cash only, well worth the visit. I am sure that you will be happy with whatever you choose from the flavorful menu. I should have gotten a mountainous salad, but I m in love with the gyro with hand cut thick fries. If you are in the Hubbard area and have cash, explore this house of flavor.

1st time dining her and now regret not finding my way here sooner! The Gyros are awesome and I absolutely love the freshly made hot chips!!! The fries are of course hand cut and perfectly cooked! And the homemade rice pudding...out of this world!! All I can say at this point is that I am already looking forward to my next visit!! For anyone traveling on I-80 and getting of at the Hubbard, Ohio exit, this place is literally 1 mile down the road and WAY better than the common fast food joints you see!!!

I haven't had a REAL Greek Omelette like this since back home in Detroit, in Greektown!

I have been SO SICK of the SAME DAMN FOOD here in Youngstown: Italian EVERYTHING (and really, not that good), with a hint of so-so quality fast casuals and a smattering of locally owned places that have caved to higher costs by providing not fresh, but processed foods and heat and serve type dishes, passing them off as "made from scratch".

Not De-Onna's in Hubbard!

Per my usual, cheapskate searches on my citi-rewards acct, I happened upon this places coupon and had never heard of them. A little research and review sifting, I decided, Hubbard ain't SO far away from Boardman and why NOT give 'em a try! Talk about impressed!

When we first got there, worry set in. They say they open at 10am and its 10:15 and the place looks closed. Now WHAT?! All the way here for a REAL Greek omelet only to be shown they were closed. Upon leaving the place, trying to Google another place locally, I see a lady, groceries in hand crossing the street looking like she's headed there. Stopped (in the middle of the street, I might add) and yelled, "Hey! Are you going there? Are they open?", and sure enough it happened to be the owner, who encouraged us to 'come on back! I never have a breakfast crowd', which we did, as I backed up the wrong way on a main street and pulled right back in their parking lot!
Friendly, congenial and VERY welcoming, she let us while opening up the place and told us to have a seat while she gets get everything together asap. Which she did with bells on and a topic of conversation for each trip out from the kitchen!

From here, I could go on and on about the quality, the service and the overall feel but I won't. I'll let YOU decide. What I will say is how nice it was to have a REAL GREEK OMELET for a change, not these usual, halfass attempts at one that look FAR more like an American omelet, THIS was the real deal, my friends. Hearty, flavorful and a single portion size that could have fed 2 people!

Really good food, fast service and a beautiful place! It is cash only so come prepared. We originally wanted to dine in but time slipped away from us and had to go take out last second and they were speedy fast and didn't mind. Definitely recommend the gyro ( of course ).

It’s a tiny little restaurant, I didn’t have very high expectations especially when I saw they were offering a chili dog and bacon cheddar soup as the special. But I ordered a gyro and onion rings. My husband ordered the Mediterranean veggie pita. Both meals were amazing. I’ve had gyros in Turkey and these were just as delicious. The onion rings were fresh made and also delicious. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but well worth it. We’ll be back again!

One of the best tasting places in Hubbard. Great and nice service! Hours make it hard for me to go very often, but you won't have bad food here, it's consistent and delicious.

Menu selections including gyros, juicy hamburgers and melts,chicken with exotic sauces, steak, vegetarian meals with intriguing flares, and many more to explore! They've got something for everyone. When you're bored with the every day menu try this little gem and I promise you won't be sorry! My favorite restaurant hands down! Desserts are delicious so take one home for later. Waitresses are wonderful and make you feel right at home. Very limited seating and parking so you may want to plan on having your meal either a little before or a tad after the typical lunch hour.

I've been going here for years. It's one of my favorite restaurants ever!!! The food is good. It's very clean. The owners are very friendly.

These Gyros are amazing all the food here is good nice little place to go. Wish they took the card though sometimes get the urge and don't have cash on me but they do take a check but those days are long gone no ones carries checks on them. But the food is def worth running to the atm for.

Wow! I stopped here with my coworker for lunch as we were on our way to the next job, and so glad to have found this gem in the rough. So good! Deep fried potato chips were delicious and the chicken tenders were awesome. My coworker had a gyro and liked it quite a bit. Lots of Tzatsiki sauce! Definitely gonna keep yhis place in mind next time ImI out the direction of Hubbard!

Their food is fantastic! Every time we go I try something new and it's always delicious. Their service and hospitality are outstanding too. Amazing food and just the nicest people, I cannot recommend this place enough :)

Makes the best gyros. Soups are yummy too!! Have had salad and sandwich, to die for.

I have never had a bad burger from here, always hot and delicious food. My go to is the loaded Greek french fries. 💯

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I love their gyro sandwich & sweet potato fries. The food is Great & they make you feel like family.

Definitely worthy of a lot more stars!!! Best place in town and surrounding towns! Excellent food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between). Super friendly and very welcoming! Worth the drive from...well, wherever. A wonderful experience every time!

Gyros with sourcream are the best. Ribeye sandwich is a close second. I've not had anything else from here so I can't vouch for it, however there are always people in and out, so the other food must be good.

Story time- I came across this random little restaurant, as I depend on #Yelp to find all my restaurant choices. First, I was going to go to one called, #TheOriginalFatguyandanovenbakery but their line was out the door and I was on a time crunch.
So being that Mediterranean food is one of my favorite, I opted for the restaurant up the road.
I’m so glad I did, because, I apparently met a legend. (Which by the way I asked him to show me his ID bc I didn’t believe it was him) 🤦🏼‍♀
So while I waited for my food, the legend gave me a run down of his robbery that he successfully got away with $12M and served 8 years for. Now I have movie suggestions and a book to catch up on. The conversation all started due to my Christmas pajama pants I decided to wear today 😆 🎄 👖

Also, I ordered the grilled chicken Greek salad and it was delicious. Great experience and food all around. Would definitely return here again if and when in the area. Also, they only take cash 💰
