The Golf Courses of Lawsonia

Great course, this is a links course. The course is in great shape. People looking for a lush course aren't used to playing links courses. The blind shots and elevated greens were a challenge. Everything you would expect from a top 100 course. The woodlands was lush and green as expected.

The two golf courses at Lawsonia are a can’t miss stop on your Wisconsin golf trip! Both courses are maintained and layouts are phenomenal. The Links are very true to their name in the fact that it is wide open with fescue. The Woodlands, while slept on, are a great partner with the links. It feels like you step off into another dimension while in the woodlands. Josh and the staff in the pro shop are very friendly and kind to all that walk through their doors. I was greeted immediately and given the respect as if I was a member there. Class act and a classy course to play again!

Lawsonia is one of the best values in public golf in the US. Both courses are a lot of fun but Links is incredible. Definitely one of my favorite Publix courses in the Midwest. A very thoughtfully designed course that rewards great shots and makes you think to score. The back 9 is visually very impressive. Highly recommend, can't wait to come back.

What an amazing experience. The staff was also exceptional. Matt was extremely gracious at check-in accommodating our large group looking for a twilight golf experience.

Great experience today at Lawsonia. First of all the club house has excellent apparel and displays. The counter man was polite and helpful. The starter was as well. We played the Woodlands and it was in great shape especially the traps! They made some great changes one in particular the 18th green. It is now more playable so one doesn't end the round with a nearly impossible par. Still the best course in the state.

Amazing golf course (links)design and great greens. Only issue is the sand traps which they are in the process of reconstruction. Staff at restaurant was an A+. Can't say enough on the wait staff. Woodlands course is also a great course.

Took my son out for a round on The Woodlands course. What a beautiful course! Not 1 bad hole on the course. Greens were tricky to read, but a lot of fun. Fairways challenging, and the layout is great.
The experience was great for our 1st time there. Everyone is friendly in the clubhouse. Highly recommend golfing here. We will definitely be back!

Lawsonia is truly a great place to golf especially the Links. There is a reason why it is ranked in top 100 public courses, for it is a beautiful layout with many great holes especially hole 6 and 7. The bunkers need work and the cart paths are really bad. The Woodlands is really tight driving course, and it is in great condition except the bunkers were in horrible condition, but I understand they were redone. Honestly, some upgrades this place definitely top 50.

Played the links and loved it. Course is in great shape. I'm a 18 HDCP and had a blast playing here. There are some blind shots and the greens are tough, but that made it fun and very interesting. The value is awesome as it's under $100. Got a bite to eat as well and I must say i had the best grilled cheese (added bacon) I have ever had. We will definitely play here again. A+

Great course with excellent greens. Friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoyed our food and drinks in the bar afterward. Well worth the 90 minute trip there. Hoping to try the Woodlands course sometime but the Links course is so good!

Honestly an absolutely wonderful experience. We packed the Dawson House this past weekend and played The Links Course on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Very reasonable prices for the golf, lodging and honestly the food as well. We all felt like we got an excellent value.

The course is in great shape, and is just the right amount of challenging. Five stars easy.

Loved the very challenging links course, very long. Very deep bunkers. Hit your fairways because the rough is tough to play out of. The greens played very forgiving so go after that flag stick. A little pricey but well worth it if you're a golf enthusiast. I will go back for more especially to try the Woodlands!

Lawsonia is one of the best golf courses in Wisconsin by far! Great staff and hospitality. I proposed to my girlfriend on the 18th green. I told the staff ahead of time that I was planning on doing it. They made sure that we weren’t paired with strangers since it was just the two of us. Plus, you can bring your dog on the course. What’s better than that?

Played the links and was blown away. Perfect condition and the caliber of the course for the price is awesome. Very walkable which was also nice as I prefer to walk. The staff including the Director of Golf could not have been more professional or courteous. I can't wait to come back next year. One of my favorite golf experiences ever!

The Links course is truly a special course. Once you get past the first two holes, which have blind tee shots, it is simply a marvelous experience. This is old-school golf which has a unique feel and flavor compared to all the modern courses that are available for play. Nearly every green is raised, but many offer a "run-up" from the front. The greens are truly firm and fast. You will not likely lose many balls (that's a plus worth about $6-$10 by itself) but it will absolutely test your game and take you back in time....that's a pretty good deal.

The Golf Courses of Lawsonia offers two distinctively deferent courses The Woods and The Links.

The Links is ranked within the Top 100 courses in the nation offering open and firm fairways and quick greens. This course was much better maintained which is why it’s a Top 100 course.

Whereas The Woods course has tighter tree lines fairways and a few nice views. It reminded me of up north golf in Minnesota. This course has a few burn spots around the course in the fairways but overall was very good.

Great course, good service. Lots of fun to play. Enjoyed the day golfing with my son.
