Best place for a coffee and a great story! Never have I had a bad cup of java done just the way I like it. Definitely a spot for, "out of towners" to get an idea of what our local and state community has to offer.

It's an unassuming spot on Post Road, surrounded by strip-mall-style commercial space, but Updike's is cozy and welcoming on the inside and the coffee is spectacular. I personally love the Mud Slide iced coffee with espresso. One time I walked in during the winter and just said, "I want a drink that tastes like Christmas," and the girl behind the counter delivered just that! Perhaps even better than the coffee is the service. Everyone who works there is so friendly - it's a really nice way to start your day!

Because they roast their own, the smells coming out of the smokestack are out of this world. I'm a decaf drinker only and even the decaf was insanely good - tasted like it was toasted. If anything I think these guys should be in a walkable spot down the street in Wickford. They deserve foot traffic and a better setting, because this place knows what they're doing.

Great little place with amazing coffee. Their prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of coffee you get. Staff is very friendly as well. It's nice having a place like this around NK/Quonset because the coffee options are limited.

We moved out of state 8 years ago but always come here when we're visiting friends and relatives. Who else roasts their own beans on site? Don't you love yourself? Skip those franchise chains with burnt stale coffee and come here for a not only better but cheaper cup of coffee! You'll never go back to corporate brews again!

Best coffee and esspresso drinks. Fair trade beans hand roasted to perfection, personally crafted artisan blends, Updikes does it all! If you want the best this is the place to get it.

Best coffee in North Kingstown. It's a bit small but has a the charm of a local high quality coffee shop. The barista was very polite and friendly.

Nice place, very friendly owner, a coffee grind on premises, for fresh ground coffee, seating areas, def not starbuck prices..sadly not packed..possibly the out of the way location, in my opinion?worth the try if you are a coffee efficianato.

Finally I found good coffee in Rhode Island!!!! Great coffee and excellent service. Definitely coming back!!!! They roast their own coffee.
