Horizon Lounge

I haven't been to the Horizon since I was a little kid. My mom was the bartender for the owner, Al, back in the early 60s. She was a white woman in a black establishment and the customers all loved her. She used to serve Floyd Little and the other broncos players. She learned how to cook the best bbq ribs from a cajun man who was the chef. She loved the Horizon and I have thought about it so much over the last 6 decades. So glad that it's still a part of that neighborhood and the city.

It was the food for me. The food is amazing, the people are friendly and it's nice to see black owned businesses thrive and grow. Vibes are good and frequent.

Fantastic, old time, neighborhood hang out. Reminded me of places from the 1970's up in areas of New York City.
Richard and Dominic took care of my partner and me, made us feel at home.
Dominic's chicken and ribs were fantastic, but his potato salad is just what went perfect.
Real cool place.

I've lived in Denver all of my 68 years. I cannot remember not knowing about The Horizon Lounge. I walked by it many times coming from Jr. High. I remember my first time there in 1971. They had live entertainment then. In particular, an exotic dancer named "Crystal" that dance with 2 large boa constrictors. I was there last week and enjoyed myself. The patrons are real cool whether you are always there or not...I would suggest for 55 and older crowd...

Love the food. She's only open about 5 hours every evening but it's worth it

The Horizon Lounge is Park Hills oldest neighborhood Bar that still stands. You can always find someone that you know in there. My sister worked there, our kids were raised there in dance off parties. Its a part of Park Hill history. Happy to see it striving and the other new businesses expanding and opening. Go Park Hill. On the other hand. MF are rude with there phone calls. Customer service ugly ugh rude eww me on call back u better know who I'm talking about. New thang behind the bar. I'm going to trust the words coming out yo 👄 . Rude ugliest.

Always great food and drinks... Just the atmosphere Mr.Pat must go see him by far one of the best bartender. 😊

I tried it out because I was in the neighborhood. Everyone there seemed to know each other but they were very friendly to me. It's a very nice place.
