Big Raven Bread

Reddit led me to Big Raven as I was searching for great SF style sourdough. It’s a google form pickup situation (no brick and mortar) but very efficient. We got the sourdough, raisin bread, cookies and coffee cake. All of it was excellent. Our favorites were the raisin bread, perfect toasted with butter, and her chocolate chip cookies are also perfect, slightly crunchy with a chewy middle. Everything was good. Really rooting for this place! We will be back!

I really enjoyed the Sesame loaf and the Honey Lemon & Lavender loaf of breads! They were so fresh and had the perfect bakery crust on them. I also love that they have a sliding scale for paying so if I have more to give I can or if I don't then I am still able to get fresh bread! Also just want to say the cookies are SO delicious! They are BIG cookies with even bigger flavor :) I love the way the owner, Abby packages everything too-so neatly packaged!
***Update I just tried the Sourdough Focaccia and it is amazing and it is such a generous size!!!

If you’re used to supermarket bread then this will blow your mind. Unreal sourdough, focaccia and cookies. Best bread I’ve had while in Denver. And pound for pound as good as anything where I’m from ~ (Melbourne, Australia)

I ordered the sourdough and tumeric onion breads. At first, this was a simple solution to the problem of my usual bakery being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but oh my... Big Raven is my go-to, now! I've lived in Denver for a few decades, missing East Coast bread, and this may be the best bread I've had since I moved here. I think the tumeric onion bread is for a limited time, but it is fantastic - so I'm excited to see the other "limited" flavors on offer in the future. The sourdough isn't too sour, which is a plus for me (I miss NY-style Portuguese bread). It's very easy to order online. Communication from the owner was excellent. Pick-up is simple, and there are a few ways to pay. Enjoy!

Amazing breads and customer service! Seeded loaves are one of my many favourite breads and Abby’s loaf was spectacular, the crusty was crispy and fresh, and the insides were pillowy. My group of 4 finished it in two days. The sourdough was also amazing, we loved that it was studded with garlic and rosemary. Absolutely A+ bread!

Abby makes legit incredible bread. We've had both the Country Loaf and the Focaccia, both were amazing and keep for quite a few days. Very fairly priced, you should absolutely try it.

Returned from Europe and was in search of the best bread in this high altitude city. Look no further. This is the best bread in America. You’re lucky to live nearby and you should definitely get a loaf or two. Incredibly fresh, crispy, soft, flavorful. Plus the loaves are massive.

I just ordered my first loaves and I couldn't be happier! I got the everything and the raisin loaves and both were so delicious!

This is a wonderful cottage style micro-bakery that produces excellent loafs, cookies, coffee cakes and focaccia. You can easily order ahead online and Big Raven will deliver or you can pick up. Highly recommended!

O.M.G. I’m in the neighborhood and have been meaning to try out Abby’s bread. I finally picked up a couple of loaves for thanksgiving and I’m kicking myself! WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?! Depriving myself of this amazing bread!!! You have to try it out. Kudos, this can’t be easy in the altitude and I need a lock box to keep myself from eating everything before Thursday.

My sister lives in Denver and we both value local, fresh, good for you food. We were looking for some sourdough based bread for my visit. I suggested just trying one loaf but we ended up getting four and they all exceeded our expectations. The quality and ease of communication/pick up made one of my visit highlights. My favorite was focaccia and some pesto my sister made from the garden. The ginger molasses cookie reminded me of my my childhood. We will be ordering again soon!!

Each bite of bread or a cookie or coffee cake is like an escape to a magical land of love and gluten. You can tell each item is baked with love and attention. From the classic country load to the fun seasonal flavors, each bread is high quality and will not last long because you'll want to eat it so fast. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, plain, jazzed up, doesn't matter it works for everything.

I just had one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever head. Not too sweet, and the dough to chocolate ratio was fantastic. Can't wait to try the bread - it smells incredible. Communication was clear and easy and pick-up was super simple. I'll definitely be a regular customer.

I ordered the country loaf and the focaccia and both were incredible! After having their bread I don't want anything else! It was also super easy to order online and pickup.

I have ordered all the things from Big Raven. The bread is to die for, seriously, we will eat the entire loaf in one day maybe two. The sweet treats never disappoint either. You can’t go wrong in whatever you get! So much yum.

Holy smokes! This is SERIOUSLY the best bread, focaccia, and cookies I have ever eaten! My family and I can't get enough! Also Abby, the owner, is an amazing person and really puts her love into everything she bakes :)
