The Chile Shop

I liked this small shop and the man that was working there the day that I visited. I love hot sauces and he had a few that I had never seen. He helped me to pick out a few for my collection based on what I told him about my tastes. I bought the "Atomic City Verde" sauce among others. It is hot but not so much that it is hard to enjoy. The green, grassy notes of the immature pepper goes well with poultry and vegetables like cauliflower or strong onions.

The store was small but well put together. It is a nice place for tourists and other visitors to shop but if I lived in Santa Fe I doubt that I would be a regular, it just doesn't have enough to choose from.

My personal favorite kitchen store!! I love their linens and pantry items. They have the entire collection of Taos Twist flatware, and serving utensils. Lots of Santa Fe recipes start with their staples, and end on their flatware, served up with the beauty of their cotton linens. It’s easy to set a beautiful New Mexico table using JUST items from this store. They carry pancake mix and mild chili powder. I love everything about this store, and my kitchen shows it with pride. Their linens alone are worth the trip to their store.

Wonderful selection of crafts and useful items. The napkins and placemats are very colorful. I have included a pic of my purchase.

Visited while in Sante Fe. Bought spices, salsas and jarred Hatch green chili. The garden salsa is AMAZING! Used the green chili's to make pork green chili for burritos tonight and the flavor was great! Just placed an online order for more supplies. Great shop and wonderful products!

Great selection and very helpful owner. We picked up a lot of nice gifts and a lot of spices for our too.

Will need to order online after we run out but i look forward to coming back one day.

Great local products and friendly staff. The prices are reasonable to the surrounding area and good for a niche gift. Definitely a perfect stop for those looking for something special.

I have never seen so many peppers, salsas, spreads and spices before.
Owner is incredibly kind, talkative and knowledgeable of the area!

The Chile Shop in Santa Fe New Mexico is a must go to! Wonderful products, amazing atmosphere and Chris, the owner is top notch. Just ordered from the a few days ago, awesome packaging and fast delivery time to Colorado.

Small shop a block off the plaza serving up all things Chile and more. Great staff. Best PURE Chile powder known to mankind for a great price. This is a must stop everytime I'm in Santa Fe.

The gentleman at the counter, I assume was the owner. Very helpful and made us feel comfortable and welcome. Good local spices and fun souvenirs too.

Great selection of items from cactus jelly to chile wreaths and NM china. I was there last week and COVID was still in full swing. The salesperson had the courage to ask someone to leave who wasn’t wearing a mask. Kudos!

A great spot for a wide selection of chiles (including organic). Great place for a New Mexican gift. Very knowledgeable staff that can answer any question you may have.

Very good store with a local emphasis on the foods they stock. Take a look at the NM salsa selection, it's really great that they support and offer these local treats.

The gentlemen cashier was a very friendly Santa Vecino. Very warm and welcoming. A nice little shop for gifts.

I stop here every year to buy pistachios, chile chocolate bars, etc. Prices have always been competitive with other distributors of New Mexican treats.
