Back 40 Cafe

We were highly impressed with this little place!! I got the chili burger and my husband got the rodeo burger. The burgers themselves are HUGE, but they were both absolutely delicious!! We will definitely come back next time we’re in Klamath Falls!!

Went for the first time on a Sunday for a really late lunch. I had the jalapeno burger and it was the best one I've had in a long time. The condiments, toppings and flavors were excellent. The fries were also the best I've had in a long time! My friend said he really liked the Rueben. Pricing is fair.

It was very slow when we went in. We were seated quickly and are server was amazing. You really do have to try the corned beef hash and the biscuits and gravy.

We stopped on our way back to Canada! Had a lettuce wrap burger and fries… they were both really good! The owner was very friendly and engaging.

I’ve been working in Klamath for 3 months now, and just when I thought all Hope was lost for me to find a decent real burger, I found this place!! A real hand press, ground beef patty. I loved it. Let me start off with their burgers are huge, but so worth it. I got a junior which is the size of a Regular burger, but I definitely wish that I would’ve gotten their “regular” size burger. The fries were cooked to perfection with a nice crunch, and an excellent coating of spices. Hands down, One of the, no, THEE best burger I’ve had since I’ve been in Klamath.

Bacon was cooked perfectly. Pancakes were huge & fluffy. Eggs were a bit more well done than I prefer, but I can just request them differently next time. I'd definitely eat there again!

I love the gluten free bread here and the clubhouse sandwich is so fresh and tasty. My husband loves the giant hamburgers. The restaurant is very clean We've eaten here 5 times now... always great food and service. We plan our trip to stop here.

Great selection of meals. Fresh cinnamon rolls. Come Thursday thru Sunday to get them.

Amazing service, great food, huge portions! Everything was good and we were thankful, because previous service had been bad and food not the best, but I believe there’s new owners now. Had the clam chowder, so far the best one in town I’ve had yet.

I'm not overstating this when I say you can't find a better burger or onion rings on the west coast. Because there isn't. A single $8 burger is a half pound monstrosity with awesome sesame seed buns and a load of pickles, onions and tomatoes. Your onion rings are big, hot and crispy, smothered in your choice of sauce. Don't even think about ordering a double or even a triple burger, unless you're in training for an eating contest. Top it off with a kick-butt milk shake or a classic ice cream sundae, and you'll be needing a nap before you leave.

Just be warned: the fries are a crapshoot. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're soggy and wet, but it's not worth removing a star for.

Friendly staff & fast service. HUGE burgers and fresh cut fries with the skin still on them 🤤 Definitely try one of their BIG cinnamon rolls!!!

When I want a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings there is only one place I will go! Thanks for existing Back 40 . . . may you ever prosper . . . and continue making awesome burgers and onion rings!

Heard of this place, but had never gone. My teenage boys wanted a burger, so we stopped and got the Hawaiian and a regular burger. It was incredibly filling and very delicious. The fry sauce was so good. Honestly it is a better deal for what you get in town. Really appreciated good service also!😊

I got a turkey melt and my husband got a chili burger and it was all really good and fairly priced. Was trying to figure out a place to go and he said this spot was really good and I like trying new places (I’m surprised I’ve never gone) but I was super impressed. Service was excellent too ☺

I used to enjoy going to the Back 40 Cafe, but after being treated Rudely by the Staff I won't return! The Owner has lost my Business!

They have awesome food & awesome service & the prices are good. It takes a really long time to get your food but it’s made fresh so it’s worth it. The steak & eggs is filet mignon, it’s so good. French beef dip with au jus is yummy. Never had it with cheese before but I like it. The cheese burgers are super delicious & huge so they take a min to cook but sooo good. Chocolate shakes are super yummy too. Pretty sure they use real ice cream. Oh and they used crushed ice in the drinks. My favorite.

My wife and I had prime rib at back 40. Our server Gab is always so pleasant. The owner chef Lucio came to our table to make sure everything was ok. We had his home made clam chowder my wife's not a fan of chowder but liked his and myself thought it was some of the best we've had.

I had the Rodeo Burger that has cheese, bacon and bbq sauce. It was huge, juicy and delicious. My partner had French toast which we will not order again. We split the burger and fries and left the French toast almost untouched. We will be back.
