Mermaid Garden Cafe

We were passing thru and found this gem. We LOVED this cafe! The food was delicious and fresh. Great service and atmosphere! Clean bathroom. And lots of mermaids around! 💖 🧜‍♀

Was driving through Klamath Falls and was in need of a tasty lunch break. Mermaid Garden Cafe was the perfect spot to satisfy my appetite! The place was jam packed but I still received fast service with a smile and friendliness. I ordered a Cheddar and Apple sandwich with the Thai slaw and it was so delicious! I highly recommend this cute joint!

This place had incredible soups, and other food as well. My little kids age 5 and 9 will not order off the kids menu once they taste the soups. This is hard to believe, but they love the cauliflower and ham and pea soup. We have also ordered 2 panini's and they are superb.
Service is outstanding. I hope this place stays open forever! We will always be loyal customers. 😌

The worst part is trying to decide what to order! It’s all so fresh and delicious. The menu leaves you wanting one of everything! The staff is so friendly every time I’m here. This time we had the creamy spinach and artichoke soup, the bleu cheese wrap for me and the pear blossom wrap for my friend, and we split a twisted tarragon salad. Super yummy! I can’t get enough of the twisted tarragon salad! 10/10!

Mermaid is One of my favorite places to eat in town. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and I enjoyed each one. Each day they have a new soup, it’s always different and again, I’ve liked every one that I’ve tried! The menu Includes soup, salad, sandwiches, wraps and cold pasta. Vegetarian options available. Great place for a healthy but delicious meal. Some of my favorites are the spicy portobello wrap and the turkey club panini. I often go on my lunch hour and have enough time to sit down and eat because they are quick. The only thing I would change is the open hours, they’re only open 10-2, Monday-Friday :( they also have yummy cookies and fresh strawberry lemonade!

Delightful and delicious! On our way through town we stopped and had lunch. Super friendly staff and fresh salads and sandwiches. We are especially enjoyed the strawberry lemonade and the Southwest grilled cheese with chicken.

Tried the special, Winter Salad. Lettuce, quinoa, sweet potatoes, and craisins. Warn and flavorful, would order again! Quaint place with prompt friendly service.

Everything I've tried from this place is amazing and super fresh. The owner and staff are awesome.

We were passing through town on the way further north and stopped to get lunch here, thinking it would just a typical small town sandwich shop, but we were in for a treat! Perfect portion sizes and fantastic flavor combos. We had the apple and cheddar sandwich and the buffalo blue wrap. Both were delicious! So much so that we're trying to figure out how we could recreate them at home. Seriously tasty and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to try more new flavors next time we come through town.

We love this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere! Can get crowded at lunch.

A little gem we've been hearing about, and it lived up to everything we had heard. The owner, Kelli, makes all the soups from scratch. Our waitress, Kathy, seemed to know all the customers. I think I just ate the best clam chowder I've ever had! I had a wrap with mine, also delicious, and my husband had a panini with coleslaw and potato salad. We both ate too much, but it was so good!

What a fantastic little gem. The food was fresh and tasty. The chicken/pear wrap was out of this world. My husband and I split that along with the Twisted Salad, which was scrumptious! This is exactly what we were looking for after a 10 mile hike at Spence Mountain.
Oh, can't forget about the cookies and strawberry lemonade. Wished I would've taken pictures but it didn't last long enough on the plate!
Lastly, the service was terrific. We love supporting local especially when we travel.

Of all the lunch spots in all the world a finer one than this one would be hard ,if not impossible to find. Upon entering this downtown eatery, one is treated to indeed a veritable Garden with a Mermaid theme. Each table has a fish hand painted on it. There are mermaids on the walls and on the tables. It would have been easy to over do this theme but the owner demonstrated her good taste by keeping it well within bounds and very comfortable.

We were then treated to the best of service by the ever smiling Julie. When we couldn't decide between clam chowder and Italian , she immediately offered to bring samples and when we also couldn't decide on a salad dressing she did the same. With a high level of authenticity and genuine friendliness Julies' unpretentious service made dining a calming and satisfying experience. We are grateful to her.

Now to the food. The menue while not exensive offered enough variation to satisfy almost any appetite. We chose a cup of both of the day's soups, two salads and a half Rueben sandwich. The soups were superb. The Italian soup was very flavorful and rich without being at all overbearing. The clam chowder was a revelation on what clam chowder could and should be. A very light cream base supported a generous anount of clams surrounded by a symphony of herbs, a bit of onion, some carrot and celery and other flavor enhancers. Not to mention some potato cooked to potatoey goodness. Not overdone and not mushy either. The Italian soup was rich and meaty with slightly spicy sausage. The beans were pefectly done holding their shape without being too soft. Do not let me get started on the salad except say they were tasted delights in their own rights.

If all that were not enough there was the perfect iced tea. Substantial taste without being bitter from being overbrewed.

Last but far from least four house made cookies with great flavor, texture and appearence.

Having eaten a lunch fit for royality, the bill was a true amazement $37.00 for the whole thing.

I would without hesitation drive 50 miles out of my way in a snow storm for such a lunch. Get there as soon as you can.

Half a Turkey club with avocado with creamy broccoli soup. The soup had lots of carrots but they were not over cooked. They still had a nice taste and snap to it. Fantastic soup. I should have gotten the bowl instead of a cup. They didn't have crackers but brought me some bread that I put in it.
The sandwich had spinach and was also very good. The service was fast and friendly.

Our food was good, the Southwestern potato salad was amazing, we got a carry out. They have a nice vegetarian selection but also items for meat eaters. The restroom is very clean. The staff is amazing.

My grandmother had a soup and I had a Thai chicken my aunt had a greek the cookies are really soft too ❤

Stopped by for lunch and had a lovely meal and experience! It was very busy but the staff was kind and friendly. The paninis were delicious and I really appreciated the inclusive signage and mermaid stuffies at the front! Would definitely come back here if we found ourselves in Klamath falls again.

One of the best spots for lunch downtown Klamath Falls. The menu is large and varied and everything I have had has been excellent. I especially like their pear, goat cheese and chicken wrap that is perfectly flavored. Oh and the potato salad has a spicy kick that makes it the best restaurant potato salad I have eaten. The service is always friendly and if not exactly fast - very efficient. (that's because it is generally packed at the noon hour)

Inspired menu, fresh ingredients, friendly service, fun atmosphere. We had one wrap with pears and chicken and other with a blue cheese, chicken salad mix. Both were fantastic. Great lunch spot.
