Red Horse Tavern LLC

We ate at the Red Horse Tavern on our first night to Middleburg, then ordered takeout another night. We really enjoyed the overall experiences at this establishment. The service and food were great during our visit. The sandwich options are amazing, which is why we went back for more!

Probably the coolest local bar I came to in Middleburg with the best Happy hour in town. Came here for the burger special. One of the most tastiest burgers I’ve had. Would’ve gladly paid full price! The bartenders and locals are awesome. Great patio seating with a throw back dining feel. Live music Fridays and Saturdays with pool tables and upstairs with tvs everywhere.

We were in the area and found Red Horse Tavern. I'm so glad that we did! Right when we walked onto the patio, we were greeted immediately by a hostess/server who, though she was very busy with other customers, was extremely friendly and courteous. Never once did she act like she was frustrated or overwhelmed.

She asked about drinks, and she had them sent out immediately.

It was a beautiful evening out on the patio, and after a short wait, our food arrived exactly how we'd ordered it. Small requests were brought over quickly and our dinner was amazing. I ordered just a regular cheeseburger with cheddar and a soft drink.
My daughter has the Grilled Chicken Cesar salad, I believe. It was HUGE! She said it tasted amazing.

All the food was presented deliciously with generous portions and bottomless drinks.

I recommend Red Horse Tavern 100%!

We took our employees out for Christmas and our 1st choice wouldn't take a reservation for us so when we showed up they turned us away. We scrambled and called Red Horse Tavern and they said they could get us in. We showed up and they were PHENOMENAL!! They had us seated right away and provided exceptional service. We never needed anything the entire time, food and drinks came fast and the food was very good. We all left full and happy. Highly highly recommend if you're looking for a fun night out in a casual relaxed laid back environment.

This place has amazing service, our waiter was on top of things the whole time! The food was really delicious. I got the Alpine burger and fries and a side salad. Definitely recommend. My husband got the wings and they were very yummy as well. The fries are some of the best I’ve had in a long time, super crispy potato perfection! My mother in law and father in law both got the salmon and said it was perfectly cooked and would get it again. We also had the coffee cake for dessert and let me tell you, get the coffee cake!! It was the best coffee cake I’ve ever had !!Highly recommend this place if you are in middleburg!

Here with a group of friends after a memorial service. Menu has lots of options, waiters were attentive even tho the place was UNBELIEVAB LY busy on a Saturday afternoon. Told we mite have a 45 minute wait but were at a table in about 20 minutes. Great food, great vibe. You won't be disappointed. Burgers were delicious as was the Reuben, fries were crispy and flavorful, mussels were yummy. Highly recommend this place.

Always stop here for lunch when we are in town. Food was excellent as always.

Nice place and has excellent food. Wings and the sampler were great tasting. We also had a steak and cheese sub and it was good. The best part was the service. Servers there work together as a team rather than assigned tables. I think all restaurants should adopt this. There was a sign in the entrance about being patient and being nice to servers, frankly speaking, they should get rid of that because they were fantastic! There was no reason not to be patient with them we were approached by several of them to check on us and we never had to wait when we needed something. I would visit again.

Great experience at lunch on 6-2-2023. Waitress on duty was exceptional! Food, as usual, amazing and priced right! Arnold Palmers were delicious, cold and endless!

I have been going to this restaurant for at least two years now and my family and I love it. We try to come every Sunday but also like pop ins. The food never fails to please me it is perfectly cooked and leaves me wanting more. When it comes to the service, their staff couldn’t be more nicer they are so welcoming and make you feel comfortable and cared for. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts, from the music to the games that are on to running into people you know. It’s such a warming atmosphere and you’d be crazy if you wouldn’t come back here. They also manage to keep the place very clean! Red Horse Tavern is by far the best restaurant in Middleburg in my opinion. And I’m always looking forward to it!

This is an absolutely wonderful place. I would give it 6 stars+. The service is great, food terrific, the atmosphere wonderful and it’s very apparent that we’re not the only ones feeling that way. Highly recommend…except when we’re headed there looking for a table!! 😉😉

Incredible food!! I at first didn’t have high standards considering it was so cheap but oh my goodness, Amazing bang for your buck!!

I went here for my birthday with my family of 5 and we got 2 appetizers, a glass of wine, a thing of juice and then 4 entrées for just $100.

Just absolutely phenomenal of a restaurant!! AND on top of that they were playing my fav genre of music on my birthday (80’s rock).

Went to the Red Horse Tavern for a birthday dinner. They have a 4 course menu with an abundance of entree choices. Great ambiance as this is one of the oldest inns in Virginia circa 1728 in Middleburg. Excellent service as well, the chef cooks a great variety of seasonal fare. Also available are rooms for the weekend, but reserve early. We will definitely return!

Was in Middleburg so stopped by for lunch and had White chicken chili and Blackened Tuna sandwich with sweet potato fries. Wow, fantastic! Chili was hearty, more like a stew and very flavorful. Tuna had just the right amount of spice and was cooked perfectly. Some of the best SP fries I've had.

Stopped in on our first night in VA. Awesome atmosphere, great staff, delicious food. Everything was top notch. And the best potato soup I have ever had!!

Awesome lunch today at the Red Horse Tavern in Middleburg. My family and I first visit to town. Wow! What a treat- the food was awesome!
We definitely will be coming back.

The Red Horse Tavern is THE watering hole of Middleburg. It feels historic. Like a horse drawn carriage could go by at any moment. When the patio is open there are plenty of seats but the inside dining area is small. But it is worth a stop in to eat here, even with a wait. The food was delicious. We had the potato nachos to start. The chips were homemade and crunchy. I went with the fish and chips based on the servers recommendation. The fish was crunchy on the outside and flakey on the inside. I chose the Tater tots over the fries for this one. They were perfectly crunchy!

Fresh food. Service was great, and everything came out quick.

This is the best place for yummy food and drinks. The staff pays attention to detail and goes above and beyond to make sure it’s a good experience. I have a food allergy, and they modified their desserts to provide me an option that fit within my diet. Best place in Middleburg for food and a good time!
