The Naked Lemon

I recently moved into the Astor Hotel on January 2024 and discovered this small business front located attached to the Astor Building. As soon as I entered the Naked Lemon, I was greeted which was a warm welcome for me😃.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I laid my taste buds on their wonderful home made pastries made in front of you. The coffee they serve is fresh and delicious. I appreciate their fresh ingredients the Naked Lemon uses when baking their cinnamon bread pastry which is my favorite. You need to stop by this shop for your sweet tooth dreams. Delicious macrons and cakes! We were lucky enough to find a cake in their case when we went in (normally they are made-to-order only) and it was both beautiful and tasty. Proud to support a woman owned business, too!

Amazing baked treats!! Love this place. So cute, and the service is always wonderful. The owner also takes orders for cakes and anything else she sells. I've had her make my Husbands birthday cake, as well as my Bridal shower cake. Both times I was so happy with what she crafted for me.

We tried the Double Chocolate and the Pumpkin Toffee Spice cupcakes AND the Brie & Fig scones - they were all even tastier than they were pretty. The space is bright and welcoming, as is the amazing owner Aleesha. She even has some delicious coffee from a Portland coffee roaster to pair with your sweets! Can't wait to see how this new space continues to grow

I give The Naked Lemon 100/10 stars! Forget the 5 stars because these folks take baking to a whole new level.

I usually go there for the cookies. The giant chocolate chip, ginger molasses, and peanut butter cookies are the best I've ever had. Any day you get to enjoy one of these cookies is a good day.

Everything else there is top-notch, too. They mix it up with different baked delights like cupcakes or macaroons. If I can talk myself out of a cookie, I occasionally give them a try. And you just can't go wrong.

The quality of everything they make is outstanding, and I can't recommend Naked Lemon enough!

Stopped on a rainy day for a pick me up! Got chocolate chip cookies that are gigantic and so so delicious, crunchy on the edges and soft/chewy in the center. Also carrot cake…with lemony frosting may sound weird but it was so delightful! Later we’ll all share the lemon curd cheesecake. Stop here for a treat!!

All I can say is their lemon blueberry cheesecake is an absolute triumph! Hands down the most incredible cheesecake I’ve ever had the pleasure of devouring. I can only imagine that the rest of their baked goods will be as tremendous!

My family and I come here from Seattle to pick up cakes for our events. This place seriously never disappoints. Their cakes are so delicious and the frosting itself is so light and fluffy (coming from someone who despises frosting and picks it off of everything-except these cakes).
If you are wanting a cake for any event and you want to impress, this is the place to go. I have never had anything that meets these standards!

The cake and cupcakes for the baby shower I hosted were gorgeous and delicious. Aleesha worked with me to make sure the colors and decorations were exactly what the mama-to-be would love. Pick ups are by appointment, so I had no problems parking, even though the shop is on the historic waterfront of a tourist town.

During the pandemic, I ordered macarons to be shipped to my mom and other family for Mother's Day. The beautiful cookies were packaged shipped for me. They arrived in perfect condition and quickly.

Great little bake shop! Got to try an fresh-out-of-the-oven scone. It was so moist and fluffy! Their cookies and macaroons are also super fresh and delicious , Def will be back to support this business! Owner was very friendly too

My gf is obsessed with bakerys so anytime we go anywhere I end up finding all of them. This one is more of what we consider a desert oriented bakery rather than breakfasts and breads. Which is fine its a matter of what you're looking for. The deserts here were delicious and beautiful honestly were 3 days past our trip and still eating on the massive bag of goodies we brought home and the cookies etc...are still delicious and fresh. It's located at the base of the amazing historic astor building right in the heart of downtown. so in my opinion is a must stop.

Had a mess up with our online order, and went in to pick it up. Turned out the order never went through, and they had no cake for us... But they whipped one up in minutes and saved the day. We also bought some lemon sugar cookies, giant peanut butter cookies and some nutella macaroons. Fantastic service and products. Highly recommended.

I worked for Aleesha a few years ago and she was one of the best employers I’ve had tbh! idk who works there now but I appreciate how patient she is with people and how thoughtful she is and also she legit has the best cakes I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve eaten a lot of cake lol!!! If any Bakery on earth could open and sell only one good item this is it. The Carrot Cake is otherworldly.

Aleesha is a miracle worker. I asked for a custom-order vegan birthday cake with an 18-hour turnaround (on a weekend!) and not only did she deliver, but it was *perfect* (vegan pastries are super hit-and-miss...this was a major hit). The blueberry-lemon scones and macarons were on point too. Thanks so much Aleesha! Will see you next time we're in Astoria.

I fell in love after my mother in law got some macarons and a small cake for my sons birthday. It was the best and decorated beautifully!
