Okay yes, they are my neighbors, but I’m also a customer. I’ve bought 2 pairs of shoes here and a few shoe care items and my experience has been so great every time! Everyone who works here is so helpful and the manager is the sweetest. They always give me great advice about which shoes will work best for me and how to care for them.

They're very knowledgeable and helpful! I bought a great pair of Hoka's from them. They knew the type of shoe I needed for my flat feet. Worth every penny!

Taylor and Clarisa were amazing, working tirelessly to provide my friend and me exceptional service...and they ensured we left your store happy and with well-fitting shoes. They never stopped smiling...and their energy was limitless. The store was very busy with numerous other customers. Taylor and Clarisa were able to provide all customers quick and professional support without pause. We were impressed!

I recently began to suffer from Planters fasciitis. And when I say suffer I mean suffer! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and very patient. They helped get me into proper work shoes and casual shoes. I felt no pressure to purchase any particular type of shoe just a genuine caring that I would find a shoe that would help alleviate my pain. I couldn't recommend the staff there any higher!

This is an awesome store! Great selection and amazingly helpful staff even during a busy memorial weekend sale (I didn’t get your names but you gals were so great). My partner Heather and I were told to come here by some friends, and that the staff was expecting us.

What they didn't tell us was how amazing the staff is. We were met by Taylor who was very excited that we had made it.

From there, she helped me find a couple of pairs of Hoka shoes that are out of this world. Both Taylor and Kylene were exceptionally knowledgeable, super friendly, and patient beyond expectations.

They stayed with us as we tried on pair after pair, ensuring that we were going to find shoes that we felt comfortable in.

I know I will be back and will continue to purchase my shoes here for the foreseeable future.

Wonderful and patient customer service. I have the worst luck with shoes. I always have to try on a zillion pairs. The female employee who helped us was wonderful and very informed about the different brands, fits, and styles. She was also incredibly patient and had a good sense of humor. I walked out with a new pair of mid-rise hiking boots and a pair of office-friendly black shoes. Success! They sell very high quality shoes and had a good range of sizes. I'd visit again the next time we're in the area.

A long time shoe business in Astoria and our go for quality shows and the customer service is very personal and highly recommend them

I went in to show them some hiking boots bought almost a year ago. The soles had started to de-laminate, and with only about 120 miles on them I was hoping the manufacturer could repair or replace them. I was extremely pleased with the service by a real shoe expert, who gave me full credit on the boots and helped me find a good replacement. Kylene was very knowledgeable -- it was great to have a someone who was knowledgeable and trained in the proper fitting of shoes. Truly great service!

UPDATE 5/13/2019:
I bought a pair of keens 2 months ago and the soul started to separate from the shoe. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Gary. He ask me my size, went and grabbed a pair off the shelf, and started preparing them for me to put on. I was in and out of the store within 5 minutes with a new pair of shoes that no charge. This is why I shop local!

I had a really great experience here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. There's tons of choices from Hoka, Brooks, Birkenstocks, Keen, and many many more!

Went in only knowing a wanted sandals. They were so helpful. Measured my feet, showed me the styles, found my size and helped me try them on. They adjusted the straps and let me walk around the store for a bit to see what works. They were not pushy but gave me space to think about what a wanted. Very knowledgeable and have great advice on how to keep my sandals maintain and we'll cared for. Definitely will be back.

I have never enjoyed buying shoes and had always bought the cheapest flip flops I could find and wore them till they broke-UNTIL I went to Gimre’s Shoes and met Pete and Chris. They have made me a life long customer even from Reno, Nevada! My feet have never been happier to ditch the $1 shoes and get ones that are good for my feet. The customer service is some of the best I have experienced and I love all the shoes I get. Pete is such a master of shoes that I can tell him what I want and he knows the brands sizing and if it’ll work well for me or not. BEST SHOE STORE HANDS DOWN! Thank you Gimre’s for always being there to assist my shoe needs!

Above and beyond house call. Who does that anymore? I am the Marketing and Communications Director at Clatsop Care Health District. Many of our residents and clients are not able to go to a store for shopping. However, Gimre's went above and beyond for Clatsop Care Health and Rehabilitation. They volunteered to come to our facility and help customers get fitted for shoes. They also brought a dozen or so of shoes. They then worked with the resident/client one-on-one trying on the shoes until they found what they wanted. Amazing service. Not rushed. Well thought out and executed. Thank you for supporting our community and offering to do this at all of our facilities.

I haven't been to what I would consider an "old-fashioned" shoe start since I was a child. This was such a treat! Fantastic selection of shoes and boots, all the best brands. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and happy to assist us with anything we needed - very knowledgeable about their products. We'll be back for more!
