Montana River Guides

Our Montana River Guide trip down the Clark Fork was the highlight to our Montana vacation. Our guide let us paddle some while we were going thru the rapids which was an awesome experience. Weather and sun on the morning trip made for some great pictures.

We have taken many rafting trips over the years and hands down this was one of the best ones yet!!! We took a private full day rafting tour with river side picnic and couldn’t have had a better time!! Our guide set up the best lunch spread at the waterside including fresh fruit and veggie trays, salad, sandwiches, chips/salsa, and the best homemade cookies!!! We had many stops, chances to swim, small cliff jumping, and the most beautiful scenery!!! Shout out to Amy as being the most fun guide to our crazy “Billy Goat Cyrus” group from Texas!!! Request her and you won’t be disappointed!!!

We did a scenic float with our young kids. This was the absolute best thing we did our whole trip! So beautiful, so much fun. Amy was our guide and she was incredibly fun, knowledgable and kind. Cannot wait to float with them again!

There were three of us over 60 year old gals on our trip. Our guide, Jack, was outstanding. We felt safe and secure under his care the whole time while having the time of our lives. The beautiful scenery and wildlife were a bonus to the incredible river with its rapids along with calm areas to relax & enjoy the ride. Top on my list of the other incredible things we did this summer.

One of the best experience in the US was spending our Sunday with Montana River Guides! The crew was able to accommodate to over 60 of us on the YSEALI alumni tour and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our time on the river - Whitewater Rafting or Scenic Tour. Guides are 100% professionals who have fun with safety in mind. Highly recommend and must visit when you're in Montana. Thanks for the memories!

I went on two different rafting trips this past week and our guide was TJ for both days. TJ made our experience extra special both days and interacted with us the entire time. He made our groups feel safe and equipped us with the instruction we needed to fully enjoy the day. I seriously can’t say enough about TJ and his professionalism, thanks buddy. One of the days our trip included dinner afterwards and it was an excellent ending to an already perfect trip. Everett had dinner prepared and waiting for us as soon as we arrived. Great times and I highly recommend Montana River Guides. Also we were so blessed to have a moose cross the river right in front of us, so keep your eyes open on your trip.

Very Fun and I truly felt safe in there hands. It was me and my daughter so I was a bit nervous since it was are first time on white water. They not only keep ya safe they also have a rescue boat follow! They provide a wet suit and life vest! I 100% would say go for it. Lunch was really good too!

This was my second trip in three weeks and I highly recommend the Mountain River Guides where safety is their priority! Our group of three had the perfect Tarkio Scenic rafting trip down the Clark Fork with Neil as our guide on August 4th. We had 10 eagle sightings that included adult pairs and even a juvenile. One was flying just above the water, some were perching in trees and one was on the riverbank! We also saw two beaver lodges on the banks and a beaver swimming near one of the lodges. Two in our multi generational group swam for a while. We discovered that the "sandy beach" was the perfect rest stop and much more preferable than the Quartz Creek rocky shore, as well as safer! Thank you Neil for stopping there!!! A truly memorable Clark Fork rafting float!

My girls and I had an amazing time on a full day float with our guide Lane. Lots to see between rapids and Lane was on top of it all. The lunch stop is perfectly timed and make sure you take a dip in Fish Creek to cool off. Overall, the best company to go with rafting with. Had the absolute best time ever!! Amy was our guide and made the trip an amazing success!! We had as much fun hanging out with her and the boys as we did rafting. They was so nice and took care of everything making sure we was always comfortable and having fun!! Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a blast with some rapids

Rich was an awesome guy to guide us through the rough rapids and help us all enjoy the ride when the river was easy. Fun for the whole family!! That was the best way to spend an afternoon in Missoula. 👍🏼

Amazing experience!
We had a large crazy group with small children and Emma & TJ went above and beyond for us!

Emma & TJ shared some awesome information about the rivers and local area.
Emma also showed us her trick to call an eagle- lol! She also taught us about the mountain rock colors and how they were formed AND was absolutely AMAZING with our kids!
I cannot say enough good things about these two! 10/10 recommend!

Our family of four had a great time going down the river with our guide Jane. She was knowledgeable and warm and made sure everyone knew what was coming and what to do. Our 10 and 13 year olds loved the experience and so did we.
We also bought the photos from the unaffiliated Montana River Photography and got some shots we would never be able to get on our own. Well worth the money.

I took the Swiftwater Rescue course with Montana River Guides and these guys were great. I learned so much, and had a great time in a beautiful place! The instructors Sam, Cory, Caleb and Mike were all very knowledgeable and helpful, and made the experience a lot of fun. Could not have asked for a better way to spend my weekend. Thanks a lot guys!

We had an outstanding time on our trip this past week. River and Katie did an excellent job guiding us in what to do and providing history and information along the way. The scenery was beautiful. We stopped for dinner along the river and the food was delicious! Would definitely recommend Montana River Guides to anyone looking for a fun filled day!

Our Guide was Great she let our daughter & son both try out the rowing cause they kept asking. Our daughter can be a handful she loves to talk a she just kept answering every question she asked a talked her ear off the whole scenic trip. We seen 7 Bald Eagles while on the river.

We had a great time rafting with Montana River Guides. Staff was very helpful with our questions leading up to the trip. Our guide kept us entertained throughout the float, but was always conscientious about our safety as well. Would definitely raft with MRG again if we have opportunity.

The best river rafting experience I’ve ever been on. Their crew was super nice and loved talking and joking around with my group of students throughout the entire trip. They even provided us with lunch and took time to prepare it before the trip, and set it all up for us during our lunch time on the river. One of the guides, Georgia, was amazing. She was so fun to be around and did a great job guiding our group! Definitely would recommend over any other rafting company!

What a fabulous morning was had by 6 ladies, 5 that had not gone floating before. Richard our guide was so kind and interesting that it made the experience even better. We are a group of ladies, friends from high school who get together each year to experience something new, chat, relax and just enjoy each other. Richard made this experience extra special and we are thankful to him. Thank you Montana River Guides for a memorable morning and experience.

Wonderful. I've rafted several times in the USA, Australia and the UK and never enjoyed a rafting trip this much. The family and I loved it so much, three days after our first trip we drove two hours out of our way to do it again. The rapids themselves were a joy, large enough to thrill me and amaze my seven and nine year-old boys. The rest of the river was idyllic. We swam along a calm stretch and stopped to jump off a rock into the deep river. We saw several bald eagles, a couple of golden ones and a deer. Apparently bear, otters and beavers are also seen on that stretch. Our guide was superb and everybody else we met was welcoming and full of joy. I cannot recommend this place more highly.
