Amazing place full of nature and peace. It has a,bunch of trails to off-road on. It's a great place to hang with friends!

If you want to get away from civilization and get back to nature, this is one of the best. Camp near a creek or park and head off into the backcountry and blaze your own trail. Just #1. Bring protection and 2. Pack out EVERYTHING you pack in, don't leave trash please.

Awesome views that no pictures could ever do any justice. It's absolutely breathtaking to say the least. Drink plenty of water and don't be afraid to do a little hiking as the scenery get's even better.

Beautiful area with rivers and lakes. Kayaking from Elbow Lake, down the Clearwater River, to Blanchard Lake, is an easy and fun float. Takes about 2 hours. There's a rope swing opposite the river mouth on Blanchard. Gotta be 40-50ft long!

There's a really nice boat put in by the highway (200) and the campground usually has openings.

Great hiking trails, free parking at trail heads and dogs are allowed! I have done several loops up here with my daughter and son in law and I love the place. Most trails have decent shade. Awesome views and lots of wildlife. Easy access that is 5-10 minutes from Missoula!

A place of peace and tranquility

Our first time visiting Lolo NF. So many beautiful dispersed camping spots along the river. Just be sure to leave it as clean as you found it please! 💚

Multiple trails to explore, even in mid fall. Beautiful vistas and old woods. This was at the top of Thompson pass, before going I to Idaho. GPS tagged it as Lolo national Forest.

We are rock climbers and there are quite a few climbing areas in the forest. Almost always, the crag is surrounded by a gorgeous and wild landscape.

It's wilderness at it best. A lot of hiking trails and camping. I've also been to Polson, Flathead Lake.

Beautiful scenery. Lots of uphills and downhills so trucks are slow, going up and down, but traffic is very light, so it’s not an issue, and there’s several wide dirt shoulders should you need to stop.
