Morais Vineyards & Winery

Last month on our way we saw, by pure chance, this pretty vineyard. I couldn't help but turn around and go visit you. After introducing ourselves, the charming Lisa welcomed us with her most beautiful smile and kindly offered us a tour of your superb tasting room. We tasted one of your excellent ports and wines. What a great meeting it was! Thanks to Lisa for these beautiful moments and we look forward to seeing each other again.

I photographed a wedding at Morais Vineyards this year and it was one of my favorite weddings ever. The ambiance is BEAUTIFUL. From a photographer's perspective, absolutely everything was picturesque from the reception hall, the ceremony site, to where my bride was getting ready. The staff were extremely helpful and the entire day went smoothly. One of my favorite details about the space as a wedding venue is the tradition of the bride and groom going into the wine cellar after their ceremony to have a minute alone before their reception. I had a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend Morais Vineyards enough!

Best wine in VA! Hands down. I have been to most Virginia wineries and Morais has the BEST wine. The Portuguese heritage is definitely very present, from the wine making stand point to the design of the tasting room and the surrounding area. This wine is by far superior to any of the most popular wineries in VA. The ambiance is just great! Wines are very reasonable priced and when you are a club member it’s even better value. All staff are just amazing… Kathy and Humberto are just the nicest people! It truly is a pleasure coming here. Try it!!!

I was excited to see grapes that I love from Portugal being grown here in Northern Virginia! I enjoyed a glass there and bought a bottle to take home. Reasonable prices $. I plan to go back with my husband soon. 🍷

First time visiting Morais Vineyards, missed an opportunity to bring our other wine group Ladies. I really enjoyed the quality of customer service. The winery’s land and inside the tasting room ambiance was a beautiful site. The wine was very tasty, especially the Sauvignon Blanc. I see another visit in the near term. Thank you Cathi and Staff.

I love visiting Morais Vineyards & Winery and I do it often as a tour guide for Spirited Tours. Morais’s deluxe tasting offers an extensive sampling of their wines paired with food, which delivers an exceptional experience. Morais not only has great wine; the owners and staff are fantastic, and the ambiance is awesome. The tasting room is gorgeous as are the other buildings and scenery, which explains why so many people like to book it for weddings.

We had our wedding reception here this August after having our ceremony in a Catholic church. It just takes seeing this venue once (even in a photo-which is why we booked it before even seeing it in person) to realize it is the absolute most beautiful wedding venue. For someone who dreamed of getting married in Italy, Morais brought the same vibes right here hidden in Bealeton VA. I’m not kidding. This place is STUNNINGLY beautiful. The architecture of the building is what got me hooked. Inside and out it is so incredibly elegant and makes you feel like you are in Europe. Not to mention the front courtyard, the sprawling vineyard landscape, the back atrium, the bridal cottage and groom suite…and so much more. This place is truly magical. The team is amazing, so friendly and accommodating. Wine is delicious :) I want to have every event here if I could!!!! This is Virginias best kept secret. Book now!!!!! My husband & I were the winners of the Virginia Bride Magazine luxury wedding giveaway & wow Morais was a dream venue!!! This venue holds so much beauty literally inside & out. This venue was selected for us but we could not have picked a better place to have our wedding. We even got to meet the owners who were incredibly sweet. The staff we interacted with were also very nice & had great communication. Seriously wish we could get married here again!! Also, for my brides…the bridal suite alone will make you book Morais!!

We got married at Morais in November 2022. The events team was very responsive to all our questions and were great to work with both throughout the entire planning process and the day of the event. The venue was absolutely beautiful and scenic and the wine (required to purchase cases for the event) was excellent.

Morais Vineyards and Winery is truly a dream come true wedding venue. This hidden gem surprised me and my now husband a year ago. We got engaged and started looking at several venues in the area that fit our style/look we were going for.

From the moment we contacted Morais, to our first visit - we fell in love. Everything seemed so seamless, almost too seamless. Up until the day of our wedding, the Morais team was phenomenal. We are so sad that our wedding era has come to an end, because working with Morais, the recommended vendors (Boda Maestra 100/100, C&G Catering 100/100), was genuinely some of the best moments of our wedding planning.

Our wedding could not have gone any more stress free. The venue is gorgeous beyond belief and will take the breath away from every single one of your guests. They work so well with everyone the day of and they made sure the bride & groom are 100% taken care of. I could not recommend Morais enough. I genuinely feel like this is our comfort area and will always revisit for their amazing wine. Our wedding dreams came true and I can't thank the amazing venue & vendors enough. I truly understand WHY they have specific rules and vendors in place. Trust and believe they know what they're doing and it's doing you a huge favor during the beginning stages of your wedding planning.

Beautiful location! Their wines are delightful, we tried the in person tasting and she was so knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with. The ambience, the beautiful out door spaces, this is a paradise for weddings...we enjoyed the chapel as well. Plenty of space for children to play outdoors.

We loved our pie tasting! Kathy was awesome and so helpful and informative. She is a great asset to the team here! My first visit here and won't be the last. What a beautiful vineyard ❤

This is the first and only winery where we have ever become members and we now have been members for over a year. Morais has the best Touriga we have ever had and the other wines are some of the best in Virginia. When we find we find ourselves unable to get to Bordeaux and need a fix, Morais provides a great alternative. Humberto always greats us with a huge smile and warm hello. Seeing and chatting with Humberto, Cathy, and Bob are always a good reason to visit. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

Superb wine tasting. Quality wine with a wide variety of Portuguese grapes. They offer a Classic and a Deluxe tasting. Each tasting comes with a small platter of cheese, meat and toast. My wife and I rated very high 9 of 11 wines that we tasted. We uncorked a bottle and enjoyed a glass each, in a pleasant surrounding. We also shared a bread dip platter. Everyone around us was doing the same. The person that attended us was very knowledgeable about the wines being tasted and made pleasant conversation. The decor is upscale, modern and of good taste. Upon entering the tasting area we experienced a sense of highten anticipation of having a great wine tasting. WE DID. The outside reminded me of a European town. We felt as if we were in a 'Hacienda'. There is a quaint beatiful little chapel. The balcony overlooks the groves and a small pond with a fountain. Along side of the groves are gigantic letters in red that spell out the word LOVE (definitely a picture moment). We enjoyed our time here very much. Morais raises the bar. It is a must experience. In our humble opinion, it is a one of a kind wine tasting experience.

As a wedding planner, I have to admit that this is one of our favorite places to plan weddings in! Suzy and the whole team and Morais have done a great job on designing and maintaining this space which is a vinyard, but provides a whole lot of glam. We've done a few Ethiopian and Nigerian weddings here, and our most recent one was our favorite because the bridal suite was completed and made for the most amazing morning experience and photos! Morais is worth every penny and our team can't wait to come back to work on more gorgeous weddings!

I honestly only stopped here because I always wanted to see what it looks like plus they have a love artwork here. We stopped on our way to Fredericksburg and it was still closed but we were able to drive in and see their property. It's beautiful from what we could see from the car. The playground looks fun, the pond area is very nice and let's talk about that building. You feel like you are in a different country. Wow. I took some pictures of the love sign and the building. I will definitely return one day when they are open.

Great tasting experience with friendly staff! Beautiful place with some great wines and people. Great for dry reds!
