I stayed at site #7 and the rate is $12 a night without hookup. Very reasonable, especially because of the quality of this campground. It's worth going farther down road to this one. There were many sites that can accommodate tents and RVs with hookups - all have a bear box, fire ring, picnic table, and grill that can hold charcoal or wood. There are bathrooms and trash receptacles, and $6 bundles of wood. Dogs are allowed, leash is required. This campground has access to many trails, and parking areas along the road. Also has access to running water, both natural and by spigot within the grounds. Soothing atmosphere with the sound of water and being surrounded by beautiful trees, however there are sites that are more open as well. The trees definitely provide a feeling of separation from your neighbors. The campground manager is very pleasant, and the bathrooms are some of the cleanest I've seen at any campground. A highly suggested spot to camp right behind the Grand Tetons, hence Teton Canyon name. I saw a waterfall after some rain during my stay in June, and there are so many beautiful sights. The road is manageable for most vehicles, just drive slowly and navigate around the deeper points in the dirt road. No 4x4 required. You have to drive through Alta to get to this location, and very easy to drive up into Yellowstone from this location as well as over to the other side of the Tetons. Definitely, definitely recommend!!

Clean, beautiful, and great access to trails. Picnic tables and fire pits equipped for grilling. No showers, no cell phone service (T-Mobile), and the road is rough in the way in way in, but easily manageable in a 2WD van.

Delightful place to camp. Be sure to hike up and see the Tetons and the waterfall.

Camp host is the real deal. Came over to our site, since we missed him while arriving at the campground and welcomed us. Not only did he welcome us, but made sure we were ready for bear country since there had been recent activity at the camp. He even offered us a bear pepper spray in case we didnt have one. (which we did). Bear boxes, picnic table, fire rings. Wood available at $6/bundle. Clean restrooms. Water spigots. Trails to hike! No showers.

Be bear aware! We saw a bear in camp. It was SO beautiful. We hiked up a waterfall. Sat by the creek and relaxed.. very quiet and rustic campground. Hosts were friendly and personable. We will be back!

What's not to love about the Tetons? Other than the crowds?

This campground is in an amazing location. The only struggle was trying to find an available site. I definitely recommend.

Wonderful campground, beautiful large sites. The camp host Eckart was as hospitable as a man can be. The water water was fantastic, the stream was beautiful and I'm told there are cuttys but I did not catch any. The vault toilets were clean. The wildflowers were amazing and the location gives you great access to mountain biking at Grand Targhee Resort. I was told the riding trails near the campground in the Federal Forest are very good as well .

This campsite was beyond amazing!! It has literally everything! There are plenty of trails to hike, amazing views from every angle. It's quite and there is good amount of spacing between campsites. Campsites have fire pits, aswell as little grills/ stoves. There is well water available at the pumps it's cold and fresh. Bear boxes are available at all campsites, and probably one of the best things is there is an amazing camp host. I mean it, he is sweet, and knowledgeable about the area. He told me and my boyfriend what trails to hike and what to expect to see on each. If you meet him be kind and he might treat you to a little concert before you hang out making s'mores by the fire. An amazing pianist! He sings too! And even if a concert isnt your thing in the middle of the woods, there are so many other things around to do. We spent 4 nights here and we can honestly say we were sad to go. Definitely plan on visiting in the future!!!

Stayed for 2 nights to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. Road coming in really rough, 4 miles took almost 20 minutes with the Jeep and RV trailer. For supplies, Driggs Idaho is a 30 minute drive ( have to go through to get to the canyon). For breakfast, stop at the Big Hole Bagel & Bistro if you go into town in the morning.

My GF and I camped here the night before backpacking up to Basin Lakes. The camp sites are reasonably priced at $12/night, are well maintained, and have large lockable bear boxes. The pit toilets are VERY clean with trash cans provided in the stalls.

Isolated location... Bear boxes at each site... This is a diamond in the rough. This is on the less touristy side of the Tetons. Great hiking trails right out of the campground. The town in Idaho 20 minutes away has great restaurants. Yellowstone is a 2 hour drive away. We completely circled Yellowstone and the Tetons in a day.

Absolutely amazing campground. Super spacious and it had all the amenities, including wood for some money. Also it's at a trailhead to two incredible parts of the Teton national park!

Trailheads to multiple hikes including Alaska Basin and Table Mountain. There are vault toilets and plenty of parking as well as primitive campgrounds. Good condition.
