Sunflower Bakery

My wife and I travel through Helena quite a bit and have stopped a few places over the years for a quick bite to eat. This is the best, our new favorite in Helena. We got a loaf of bread and a sandwich. 5 stars!!

I live in Texas, but a dear friend of mine lives in the area. She just had major surgery, and was stuck at home, recuperating. I called around, but no one would deliver. Then I called Sunflower. Not only did they make a wonderful assortment of goodies for my friend, but they delivered it to her door. The young lady that helped me was so kind. Very thankful that they were willing to do that, and my friend was most happy with her box of delights! Thank you so much, Sunflower. ❤

Great bakery! So many varieties and yummy things. I loved the curry sandwiches, the scones, the sweet potato pie and so many others. It’s hard to pick what you want at this bakery.

Best Quiche & Kalamata Olive bread every Thursday! Four small 2-person tables, great coffee. 4 varieties of Quiche, and many other pastries. They have a sandwich available after 11am. Really relaxing decor and music.

I sincerely mean it when I say Sunflower is my favorite business in all of Helena. Incredibly kind owners and staff, in my opinion the best bread from any of the many wonderful Helena bakeries. Our family happily makes a regular stop from the other side of town for their goods.

Classic sourdough
Cinnamon Raisin loaf on Saturdays
Black pepper cheddar baguettes
Thursday veggie sammies with sprouts and cream cheese on focaccia
Chocolate Babka
Tahini braid things

The best bakery in Montana and the galettes are out of this world (not too sweet and creative pairings like peach and raspberry when in season)

The best thing that happened to Helena in a long time! I grew up eating great bread where I grew up, in Greece. I was there for five weeks recently and could not enjoy their bread anymore. I kept missing the Sunflower bakery bread!

This is my favorite spot in Helena hands down. I get sourdough bread weekly and it’s perfection. The quiche is the best I’ve had, and the early grey scone is what dreams are made of. My husband loves the blondies. Basically anything you try is going to be magic. The staff is wonderful. The only complaints I have are that they aren’t open more days, and they don’t offer bread slicing. They also have a nice selection of delicious local jams for sale and other compliments to your bread. Such a great spot.

We were driving through and found this bakery near where we were camping . Absolutely the BEST quiche I’ve ever had! And scone was amazing! Highly recommend!

Really good almond brioche muffin thing. Never had anything like it, and I’m from NYC area where there are hella bakeries.

We love the sourdough cinnamon rolls. The quiches are also very good. I tried the mushroom soup last time I went and that was also delicious. I don't each much bread, but the few loafs I have tried have been excellent. Easily one of my favorite shops in town. The staff and everyone who comes in wear masks as well. This place is a small ray of light where all other lights have gone out.

Seriously the best quiche I have ever had! We come here just about weekly for quiche and a loaf of bread. Also, scones. Seriously the scones are delicious. This might be my favorite bread bakery of all time.

Also, their quiches are scrumptious. Good drip coffee. And if they'd had our fave galettes when we started our road trip we would have bought a big box to take to our Canada relatives. Num num.

The cinnamon rolls are amazing! The scones I picked up for staff were demolished...no crumbs left. The quiche incredible.

We picked up a huge assortment of items, and all were impressive. Although they specialize in sourdough, the flavors were subtle and varied: in particular the cinnamon rolls were really good.

Simply put, this place is worth the trip.
