If you've never been here, I always recommend visitors spend time here. Bring food and make it a picnic lunch. There is a HUGE area of bunkers to explore, and open fields with frisbee golf. The museum is small but fun to go through. Bathrooms and dog poop bags and trash cans provided. If you're lucky, you'll spot some elk as well.

Interesting information on the history of the fort. $5 parking fee or an annual pass is available online or at the museum. Parking lot is paved. A free brochure in the museum will help identify the features of the fort. We noticed a lot of swallows using the closed structures. Bats must also. Restrooms are available nearby. They have flush toilets and are relatively clean and well maintained. Picnic tables were available.

Wish we had visited the museum first so we would have had a map and descriptions of things we saw. Helpful volunteers and very interesting memorial items
