Absolutely loved this hotel! The room was large and the furniture and decor was beautiful. The two cozy robes was a super nice touch! The common area is just beautiful as well and stocked with snacks for you to take as well. Leah who works there is so kind and easy to communicate with. Do not hesitate to book this hotel, you will not regret it!

This was really a cute place to stay and the closest we could get to Foxcroft School with a reasonable price. The common room was cool with lots of coffee and snacks. Trip Advisor lists this as a B & B, but it is only a B - breakfast is on your own. My only comment is they need more light on their outside walk way at night. We will stay here again. There is no TV btw so bring a laptop for the Wifi

I recently had the pleasure of attending a baby shower at The Rosemary in downtown Marshall, and it was a wonderful experience! From start to finish, the staff at The Rosemary were incredibly attentive and accommodating, making sure that every detail was just right.

Leah, in particular, was a standout. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly, and was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Her attention to detail and warm personality really made the event feel special.

The room itself was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, yet cozy, with plenty of natural light and charming decor. I loved the mix of modern and vintage elements, which gave the space a unique and inviting.

Another bonus of The Rosemary is the ample parking. This was especially important for our event, as we had many guests traveling from out of town. The convenience of having plenty of nearby parking really made a difference.

Overall, I highly recommend The Rosemary for any event or gathering. The space is lovely, the staff is attentive, and the location is unbeatable. Thank you to Leah and the team at The Rosemary for making my daughter’s baby shower such a memorable occasion!

Worth every penny. Owner is very responsive and directions for your stay are sent ahead of time as well as a nice little welcome package waiting upon arrival. The building is an unassuming hidden little gem. The inside is very clean and tidy. The beds are luxurious and comfortable. Impeccable decor both inside and out. The complimentary snacks and beverages in the Commons (sitting room) was above and beyond. WiFi is available and dependable. My daughter and I stayed here while I was visiting from out of town. We felt like we were staying in a lovely country home and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet time. We even extended out stay by two days and the owner was most helpful to figure out a way to accommodate us. The first few days we were there alone, and it felt like our place. But even when other guests arrived, we felt everyone was respectful of the space, and there were no disturbances to our feeling of being "at home." I can not say enough good things about our host, and his lovely escape in the beautiful Virginia countryside. So many great little towns nearby to enjoy (Middleburg, The Planes). The gift cards the The Red Truck Bakery were also appreciated. Do yourself a favor and visit the Interior Design space below the Rooms, exquisite taste. I would like to note that if you are expecting a "hotel" like experience with TV, Front Desk etc...this is not your jam. I was very happy to not have that vibe, so we could have a more intimate experience one on one, and get out and enjoy what the surrounding areas had to offer. Our favorites: Field and Main (for dinner), Half Past Moon (for breakfast), Happy Creek Coffee Coffee & Tea (for an excellent pour over coffee or Earl lavender tea). While I appreciated the host giving us our space, my only regret was not meeting him in person to share my thanks in person. Thank you Dan. We will be back.

Attended an event at The Rosemary that was so well presented and thoroughly enjoyable! Naomi/owner of The Grazing Board presented a Charcuterie Board Class. Very thorough presentation and all supplies included. Leah and Melissa of The Rosemary provided champagne and brownies to add to the enjoyment. Awesome event venue and very welcoming! Hope to return.

My husband and I stayed at The Rooms Up There right off Main Street in Marshall, Virginia for a mini anniversary getaway. The directions to and parking were very clear as well as check-in. We appreciated the self-check-in and how quaint and quiet it was. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had all of the amenities we wanted and needed for a weekend getaway. We spent time in the Common Room playing cards and enjoying some beverages and snacks. We also adventured the downtown Marshal area with live music, great restaurants, and wonderful environment. It's a great getaway spot!

We loved our stay at The Rooms Up There. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves but once there thought it would be a great place to reserve all 3 rooms with a few couples. There are nice places to eat just steps away and the wineries are all just a 10 minute drive away. The Inn itself has comfortable sized rooms with an amazingly comfortable bed and an updated bathroom. We enjoyed our breakfast from the Red Truck Bakery and the contactless check in was simple. Even during Covid we felt safe and confident the Inn was clean and sanitized. We plan to go back!

This is a great B&B for folks that like the style and aesthetic of historic accommodations but want modern amenities. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the bathrooms are modern, while keeping to the historic design theme. Everything was spotless and of very high quality and it’s pretty quiet so you don’t hear the other guests. The check in process is automated and self-service (Read the emails!) which Is super efficient and easy. Parking is close and restaurants and shopping are all walkable. If you’re looking for a romantic private getaway in the heart of NoVA wine and horse country, look no further.

Such a nice room with a bed fit for royalty. This place is also very close to lots of fun breweries and wineries. The best part was no 2 night minimum which we found to be pretty common for airbnb places in the area of comparable price. Highly recommend.

I was searching for special overnight accommodations and finally found "The Rooms Up There" that were going to be opening in a few weeks. I waited and was rewarded!
What a treat. History, simplicity, thoughtful design, location and a perfect quick get away from Washington, DC. We met Dan, the owner, who verbally guided us to his property, much of the area and offered a terrific conversation in their living room; we knew that he wanted our stay to be as grand as we hoped it to be. It was a pleasure to tuck-in such a fun place. Yes, I want to visit again and I have suggested to my friends that it is a perfect spot. (I know this sounds too good to be true; try it and you will see it is just right!)

We had a great stay! The character, cleanliness, and location of the place are top notch. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway to visit Marshall and the numerous wineries/breweries in the area.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Rosemary after I found it on my hotel search in the Marshall, VA area. We had plans the next day to see a friend of mine before continuing on our road trip, and this was located just down the street from where we were meeting. Leah from The Rosemary was fantastic - she and I communicated efficiently, our room was paid before I even checked in, all of our check-in information was emailed ahead of time, and she also left us a lovely note with a bottle of wine and glasses for when we arrived. I'm pretty sure we were the only ones there (we never saw or heard anyone else on our Thursday night stay), so it was lovely, private and somewhat secluded. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and we even made due without a TV for the night. The floors are creaky (as you'd expect from a building from the 1800s!), and the staircase to The Rooms Up There is a bit tight with luggage, but we didn't mind (we were smarter the next day and carried only a couple of things down at a time). The green doors with gold clovers to the rooms are a nice touch, and the snacks/drinks provided in the common room across the hall were very welcome! In our room, we were also given great recommendations for dining. For being on the main street, it was incredibly quiet. The price was great too, and worth every cent paid. If we are ever needing a place to stay in the area again, we'll 100% be staying at The Rosemary!

Beautiful, cozy and relaxing! Loved every minute staying there. Relaxed in our room all day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Love their partnership with Red Truck Bakery!

This was such a lovely find!! We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves over the Thanksgiving holiday. It's exactly Y the home we would have created away from home. Every detail is thoughtfully perfect. An incredible and unexpected place that we can't wait to visit again soon.
