First National Bank Alaska has been by far the best bank Alaska has to offer. I have backed with them for 37 years. They treat me as if I am family & most know my first name. I highly recommend all banking with FNBA!

Since my first encounter with FNB in 1992 until now every experience
has been satisfactory. From loans to business checking to their fine
escrow department, if have found FNB to be reliable, and easy to
do business with.

Edit: I have since visited the Palmer location and got much better customer service and support! They were very professional and helpful! Worth the drive.

They take my check and put that into my account when I ask. They also take money out of the account and give it to me so that I can use it to purchase goods.

Have been trying to get to this branch for the better part of a month. First time, I showed up after work because the website said they were open until 6. They were closed and had changed their hours. I tried to come in on a Saturday. Lobby is closed, says drive thru only, and the drive thru is closed....try again another Saturday and the hours changed and they're closed again. Finally got to a teller on a Saturday, asked about all the closures, and was told they had short staffing, but I could always try the branch in Anchorage (45 minutes away).

Will be looking to move our organizations account away from this bank to another local credit union who has reasonable hours for those who work from 8-5.

Needs at least the drive thru open on Saturdays.

Just left Wasilla location after being treated rudely by a branch manager.
Wanted to open a business checking account.......
And was informed that she "was not gonna open a business account for just 1 check"?????
Closed accounts immediately and up the road at the Credit Union
A little training on professionalism from the employees and they might bounce back, Reviews not that great.
After 7+ years time for something better

My father passed away and I went into this branch to find out what I needed to begin the process of settling his accounts, I too was treated like a criminal! They were extremely rude right off the bat and we're not helpful in any way. My parents banked with these people for over 30 years, sad that this is how I would be treated in any situation, but especially this one. On top of it all, I banked with them many years ago, when I first moved to Alaska. I was not 18 at the time, but I worked and needed a bank account. My mom and dad were put on my account, but I was not on theirs. On three separate occasions, this branch tried to give me money out of my parents account instead of mine. I pulled my money and went to Alaska USA credit union as soon as I turned 18. This bank is a sad excuses for a business and I strongly recommend that you don't use their service. That's right First National Bank of Alaska, Wasilla branch, you provide a service...the money in the accounts belongs to the people, not you, so try and be a little more customer service friendly.

I'm not a member of this bank but I went in to make a rent payment to my landlord and I was treated like a criminal. I can't believe all of the questions they asked me in order for me to give them money. In my mind it is very simple...I give them the account number and they deposit the money. Easy right? Nope, the clerk had to go speak to her manager, behind closed doors, like 3 times before she would accept the payment. Recommend avoiding if at all possible.
