Fishers Restaurant

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our breakfast at Fishers Restaurant! Our waitress was friendly and welcoming and offered wonderful suggestions (which we chose for our meals) and was perfect with her balance of checking on us and refilling our glasses.
We each got the breakfast platter with a French toast plate to share. Everything was delicious! The biscuits were amazing!
We enjoyed the local friendly feel and the memorabilia hung on the walls.
We’ll definitely be back!

The food was wonderful, homecooking made to order. Best pimiento Samich, was so delish we're taking one home for dad. The atmosphere was so welcoming, and the people made you feel like you are neighbor's. They even have tables where you can set outside out of any weather. Only bad thing is we were visiting and do not live close enough, because if so we would be regulars.

Great local eatery! Southern-style down-home food with a little bit of artisan flair. A little pricier than you'd expect for strictly local specials. Fresh desserts every day; specials menu every day. Has counter, tables, and outside dining. Doesn't seem set up for large groups at all. Plenty of parking. BBQ is smoked on-site and very good. Friendly staff, good basic food. Breakfast and Lunch only; closes at 3. Very homey cozy atmosphere.

Second time trying Fisher 2.0 out and I'm impressed. Consistent good service and great food. Worth the little extra it costs to go here as apposed to some of the other chain restaurants around.

What a delightful find!! The BBQ was delicious, but the fried oysters were divine and the best we have ever had! And, not to be neglected - the chocolate pie....delicious!!! The waitress was such a sweet young lady and really knows how to treat her customers. We hope to visit again one day and enjoy a lovely meal at Fishers! Thank you!

Hey y'all A Great Small place to Dine in at! We go for Breakfast which is very good! Enjoyed French Toast and Bacon it was The Best!! Will Order it again Soon! Service was very Good Also! Wait Person came by with the Coffee Pot Quite often I like Hot Coffee!! Will be making this Our regular Breakfast Spot on Friday Mornings!

Drove 2 1/2 hrs to try this Fishers Restaurant out. I was not disappointed at all. had the fish dinner with fries & fresh fruit. It was delicious. I did wish they could of given another piece of flounder as it was a small piece. I then tried the fresh Homemade Pumpkin pecan coconut pie. It was wonderful! It was served warm...The waitress was super nice too!

The best little place in town! Family owned and run, with a lot of history dating back to WWII. They truly care about their customers and take time to learn your name, your order, and details about your life. They can get busy, but that's a reflection on how great the food and atmosphere is. Well worth a short wait, in my opinion! Love the small town feel and the love in this place!💕

Stopped in here as I was passing through Bedford, and couldn't be happier. The catfish, mac, and pintos were amazing. The chef isn't too heavy handed with the seasonings and lets the fish speak for itself. As I type this I'm in heaven eating the mixed berry cobbler. Friendly service, great food, and a comfortable atmosphere. Family owned dining at its very best!

I went there yesterday for breakfast and let me tell you I was very impressed! The owner Lisa cooked me bacon, scrambled eggs & killer hash browns! Deeeeelicious!!! Fresh fresh fresh!!! The waitress who served me Sierra was very friendly, she made sure I was taken care of! I would definitely go back there again!

Good lunch, family friendly prices, super veggies and service. Treated us as friends, plan to return and visit D-Day memorable as they described it. Nice out door seating and water for our dog!!!

Best old fashioned cheeseburger I've had in a really long time! No frills just topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions.. delicious! I hear the desserts are great too, served during the week..

Great all day breakfast 🍳. Everything else is good as well. Friendly welcoming staff...and it is still run by the Saunders' daughter Lisa. They recently enclosed the outdoor space which makes for 2x the year round seating space. A cozy Bedford spot.

I adore Fishers. They're small town and have wonderful staff! My friends and I LOVE almost everything we've had there. Small space, but we've never had trouble finding seating. They do make things daily, so it's ideal to go earlier if you don't want them to run out of your favorites! We live 40 mins away, but are still willing to make this a breakfast destination on our mornings off.

Fishers *was* a great, locally owned restaurant. The signature Zimburger was delicious and will be missed.

It closed Sept 25th, 2021, as the owners wanted to retire. They will still be doing the catering side, but the eat in restaurant is no more.

Great food and a cozy small town vibe. This place is a jewel and a staple for Bedford. Catfish Fridays, to great burgers, breakfast and BBQ yoi can't go wrong eating here. Be sure to say hi to the wealth of local Military Veterans that eat here!!! Plus they have outdoor seating and the train when it comes through!!

Quaint, clean, friendly service near Bedford, Va. We visited the D-Day Memorial and found this gem when we made a wrong turn.

Mrs. Lisa and her staff are what great home cooked food and service is all about and if your looking for how that’s defined. Make a trip to Bedford and Fishers Resturaunt. We’ve made several trips here and the only disappointment we’ve ever experienced is when they sell out of peach cobbler. But that just means like all their other food, it’s really really good and you can expect that from time to time. Ms Lisa please don’t ever change and mess up a good thing. Steve and Julie Jones
