Bella Italia restaurant

Food was great. I forgot to take pictures. I had a calzone. The waitresses was very good. The food was reasonably priced. They are handicapped accessible. Went back again...then I got pictures of our food.

We visited for the first time on Valentine's Day and were well taken care of. The owner's were beyond lovely and so sweet and attentive. Our food was delicious and the desserts out of this world ☺ I especially loved my salad and my husband's dish, the Tortellini Palmetiano (sp?) which was in a fabulous basil pesto. So good!

My family mostly order to go. They are really kind and inviting. Love their food. Our favs are the Calzone and the children's cheese burger.

When you grow up in an Italian-American family in New Jersey, you have no choice but to love Italian-American food. After moving to Virginia, I longed for good “casual” Italian food. Lynchburg has a few “upscale Italian” restaurants but their menus are all pretty much the same and are lacking authenticity. Those places serve chicken parm, lasagna, ravioli- nothing exciting and their menus are minimal.

Trust me when I say this. Skip those restaurants and come here. You won’t be disappointed.

The owner, Lori, makes you feel like family. Interacting with her is part of the experience! She’s incredible and truly cares about pleasing her customers.

This place is no frills. It’s not fancy, but it’s the closest thing I’ve found to “New Jersey” Italian food. If you’re from the Northeast, you understand. This is a casual spot that’s good for any occasion.

I have yet to have anything on their menu that wasn’t delicious. Their menu has a ton of variety and there’s something for everybody. If you like vodka/pink sauce, you can’t go wrong with theirs. If you like thin chicken cutlets in your chicken parmigiana, this is your place.

I would highly recommend visiting Bella Italia, even if you have to make a small road-trip to get there! You won’t regret it.

The foods are delicious. Nice and friendly atmosphere.

Had takeout pizza birthday. Large pepperoni ham onion. Lots of toppings When I went in to pick it up I noticed a dessert case in the lobby. Perfect for the occasion. Grabbed a few - tiramisu, chocolate covered cream puffs, fluffy cheesecake . Everything was so delicious. Thanks for using quality ingredients and offering made from scratch pastries. We are lucky to have you in Bedford.

Food was just incredible. Veal excellent. Serving sized as expected from a real Italian restaurant, huge!

Wine pours were a full pour, not a snobby 1/3rd of a glass. While the atmosphere was not super Italian, it was such an awesome find. We will return next time in town.

Had a great meal. Wife had chicken parmesan and I had their seafood linguine or pescatore. John was very helpful and the atmosphere was great. A nice local restaurant that serves great salads and meals and desserts like tiramisu !!! It was light and delightful!!

Great find in downtown Bedford. Delicious, authentic Italian food. Nothing mass produced or bulk purchased here. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Second time dining here with my mother. This time she ordered the ravioli with cream sauce and it was delicious! I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and it was YUMMY! We tried each other's dish and we both agree it was fantastic.

This is one of Bedford's best kept secrets. Bella Italia restaurant is the best Italian food I've had in Virginia. The only drawback is no delivery, but I would travel there- middle of downtown- for a meal. The best pizza, real pizza, like the north, yes,I am a Yankee. I can't believe I've never been here before. A calzone to best all calzones and Eggplant parm. Both a wonderful surprise of perfection. So tasty, so fresh, such large portions. The menu has something for everyone from picky children to vegetarian dishes to many fish offerings. This is the Italian restaurant you remember from your childhood. We took home a sausage pizza. Between the pizza and our meal- we both only managed to eat half of our meal, I don't have to cook tonight. We will be back to try something else. Did I tell you about their appetizers? Oh, the salad and hot rolls too. Sooo good! Try it, you will like it. It's like visiting your Italian Grandma, even if you aren't Italian.

I don't know why Google maps is asking me for a review again as I have reviewed this place before, there seems to be two listings in the maps one called Bella's with an apostrophe s and another called Bella but they both have the same address.... Weird
I have eaten here numerous times now and they never let me down.
Food is always very fresh made to order and actually served with love! 💕
I just cannot get away from how delicious their sauce is and the cheese they use.
Having grown up with a sicilian family I thought I would never taste something this good again in my old age but if that's what you're looking for you need to definitely come here!
there are many pizza places around mostly chain and there are other Italian places in town to eat at but this one blows them all away if you want true Sicilian food!

What a great find!!! Honestly Italian with fabulous choices for dinner!!! Our waitress (Andrea?) was wonderful; extremely attentive and very sweet!!! We loved the atmosphere and decoration!!! We will be back for more!!!

Small, family-owned Italian restaurant. Just outside downtown Bedford. Excellent food - scratch-made pasta. I had some exceptional lasagna. The meal came with a fresh salad and fresh bread. I love homemade bread+ this was delicious. The lasagna was al dente with a flavorful sauce that was well balanced ( not too sweet, not too acidic). The service was unobtrusive and attentive. Very pleasant meal - exceeded expectations despite good ratings.

My family orders take out from here regularly. Their spaghetti with meat sauce and added meatballs is fantastic. My kids usually get the kids spaghetti which just has tomato sauce and it’s the size of a regular so we have plenty of left overs. My husband typically gets a cheeseburger or a calzone and has never had any issues. If you order during peak times, the wait will be longer whether you eat in or get take out. Also their tiramisu is out of this world.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and so glad we did! The service was quick and super friendly. The food was great, definitely will be back.

Nothing fancy outside but inside tastefully done. However, looks do not make the book and, in this case, that is very true as the Service was fabulous and the Food fantastic. Don't miss the opportunity to try this place out for great food and friendly service.

Excellent homemade food and desserts. Great selections, large seating areas inside and outside. Mama the owner is original and truely a great person. The Tiramisu is the best I have purchased, I make my own from scratch.

Absolutely the best food you will find around Bedford

Really enjoyed Bella Italia! My Eggplant Parmesan was some of the best I've ever had. The sauce was so flavorful. Good, personable service!
