Johnny Monarchs

We visited the new location of Johnny Moncarch, which is connected to Grove's Winchester Harley-Davidson, and were able to meet the owner. He was nice, polite and sociable and even went out of his way to have an order be remade for my son who did not want mushrooms in his food.

It was a great experience to walk the floor of the motorcycle store while we waited for our food to be made.

The food was hot and delicious. I understand most of the produce is personally and locally grown so it is very fresh. One of the stand out points is that there are several vegetarian options and healthy options, along with not so healthy but yummy foods available.

Would recommend and return!

What an exceptionally charming and delicious trucksteraunt this is! They’ve turned a double decker English bus into a food truck and set up a very cute space with seating, a stage, and a fire pit outside of it. In addition to the charm, they deliver on food quality and everything we has was excellent. The tomato pie is a must try for how unique it is. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re going through town.

I'm so happy that we went here today. The food is outstanding, and is served by a friendly staff in a lovely small-town atmosphere. I had the Steak Me Away, which is easily the best Steak and Cheese I've ever had. Full of perfectly cooked beef, peppers, onions, and mushrooms, this sandwich truly takes two hands to hold and absolutely melts in your mouth. An all around fantastic experience is basically guaranteed at Johnny Monarch's.

We are so happy we found Johnny Monarchs on our last road trip. There's nothing like a double decker bus to get your attention. Plenty of homestyle comfort food on the menu. Veggie and vegan options available. Alcohol is available too. The kitchen is on the first deck with table seating on the second level. There's also plenty of outside seating for dog lovers when the weather's right. Don't miss out on one of the most unique restaurant ideas ever. 👍👍

I thought to myself, wow 40 bucks for 2 lunches, better be good.

It was amazing.

I got the Tuesday roast chicken, perfectly cooked and moist. One “issue” mashed potatoes did not have enough salt. That maybe me though. The other dish was the chicken spedie, on greens not as a sandwich.

Manager on duty was helpful and patient. Enjoyed my visit and I’ll be back.

A wonderful lunch experience in a unique setting. Looks like they are doing night service and live music on Saturdays. A must do in Marshall

The home cooked food was very good. We had the meatloaf, meat pie, and tomato 🍅 pie (more like a salad). Prices are fairly reasonable, and they had some live music.

This is a gem to find in this farming community. It looks like a nice hangout for the evening with lots of picnic tables, fire pits, they offer many vegetarian options which I was able to easily omit certain ingredients to make vegan. The entrees were fresh tasting and delicious.

This experience is like no other...Wonder food, amazing owner's. Plenty of seating outdoors's. Entertainment. We will be back.

One of my favorite spots to grab a bite on a beautiful day, pet friendly, great menu and friendly staff.

What an amazing, unique place. Amazing food and great music. Plus the people working there are as awesome as the food! I got the footlong. Incredible fresh sausage with onions and peppers. Soooo much flavor. Potato salad isnalso killer if you like a thin, vinegar sauce and not too much mayo. Can't wait to go back!

Johnny Monarch’s at both the Marshall and Winchester locations is the finest, freshest, and creative cuisine in the Piedmont and Shenandoah Valley. The owner/chef goes the extra mile to curate fine farm to table ingredients and consistently creative/eclectic menu options. I can’t say enough good things about this fine and well ran establishment(s).

The food is fantastic, the owners are very friendly, and they treat your corgi like royalty (the Queen would approve).

The menu was small but the food was good. They took food allergies seriously and competently handled our various needs. Impressively, they had a brownie type dessert we could all eat as it was gf and df. Admittedly, it has been a while since I have eaten at the Marshall Diner, but both the food and service where better at Johnny Monarchs.

Great southern cooking that makes you feel like home, with a friendly staff and lovely environment. Live music and cute decorations make for a great time, and the food is delicious! I recommend the steak sandwich, it will change your life!!

Awesome vintage food truck/bus with a unique menu. Comfort foods made from scratch! They have beer and live music as well with plenty of outdoor seating. Must try!!

The food is FANTASTIC! When we walked up, we saw their tomato and parsley plants along with many other fresh ingredients. You can taste the freshness in the food. The staff are wonderful and the live music is great.

Good hearted people and awesome food. Comfort food style menu with lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Seems like a Good energy bubble surrounds this place. Outdoor gardens. Live music on Friday and Saturdays. No sign of any Apocalypse or any corona bona happening here 😊
