Donny's Glidden Lodge Restaurant

We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration at the Donny’s Glidden Lodge Restaurant! I particularly loved my artichoke dip with pita chips, the New England style clam chowder, and a 12 oz tenderloin perfectly prepared, with red potatoes and green beans! The appetizer was large enough to share between four people. Our server, Joann, was very attentive and we had a window table with a beautiful view of the Lake Michigan shore. ❤

Recommended by a fellow at Simon's Winery. He was correct......this is a very nice place to eat out. My steak was incredibly tender as was wife's prime rib. The restaurant is right on Lake Michigan. My only critique......the beef could use more seasoning. .

My husband and I wanted a supper club on our weekend away. Made reservations at Donny's. It was off season and they were full, but we were lucky that there was a cancellation. We both ordered different type of steaks....they were cooked to perfection. The garlic mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious, as were the vegetables. The dining room was so well laid out and beautiful. Gorgeous big windows looking out over the lake. Friendly and great staff. I highly recommend, especially for a date night. Pricey, but soooo worth it.

This is the best steakhouse in door county worth the money . The beautiful scenery of lake Michigan is breathtaking.Make sure you make reservations and get ready to have the best steak you ever had and seafood I love this place and I can't wait to come back and have dinner . As they say in door county ( yep). Thanks for great food and drinks .

Group of 6. Excellent experience for 1st time visiting. Beautiful Old World/European style atmosphere. Server “Gretchen” professional & prompt. Food absolutely delicious. Will return as now a most favorite place to dine. Also We had ice cream drinks for dessert & they were so good. Staff present there very welcoming

Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening with a friend. The lake views are beautiful from the large dining room. I had a filet with potatoes and it also came with green beans, salad, and rolls with butter. The meal was great and my steak was cooled perfectly. Our server was friendly and our meals were out in with little waiting. Really enjoyed our first visit here.

Donny’s Glidden Lodge is one of my all-time favorites. Food is delish and the cozy atmosphere is unmatched. You can’t go wrong with a meal here. Call ahead for reservations so you get your pick of dining times :)

We absolutely loved dining at Donny's Glidden Lodge. The food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was great. Our waiter was very sweet and polite. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone on Door County.

Love the prime rib night Thursday. Huge portions, really good quality food. Didn't expect it but the shrimp I had on the shrimp and salmon was some best shrimp I've ever had, salmon was very good.

The service attentive and as quick as you want. It's fairly tight dining area and lots of people going through, at least on Thursdays so if you want real leisurely, quiet time, best to do at less busy times.

We’ve been coming to Door County for 10 plus years. I can’t believe this was our first visit. It won’t be our last. Friday night fish special night was a family favorite. First time visitor on Mike Caplan’s recommendation. The stuffed shrimp appetizers were amazing. Lake perch was tender. Creole chili was a winner. Service was top 10.

Amazing, as usual. The steak was cooked perfectly, the service was prompt, and the view was perfect. The pics are of the garlic/shrimp appetizer, the surf and turf, and "The Glidden".

I've been here twice before & was in the area on a girl's weekend, insisting we go here. All of the girls were incredibly happy we did. Every single thing we ordered was delicious... cheese curds, duck wonton special appetizer, escargot, Cajun type soup, scallops, salmon, tenderloin, shrimp, vegetables & potatoes. Prices are typical for a Supper Club, not expensive, especially for how great the food was prepared. Our waitress Rachel was great as well. Definitely recommend!

Several cousins got together for a weekend in Door County. Made reservations 3 weeks prior- group of 8.
Our waitress was great, she told us the specials and there were only 2 halibut left, when 2 of us said we'd take them she literally turned and hustled to the kitchen to be sure we'd get them. Others had prime rib or steak. Our meals were fabulous! Not one complaint from 8 women 🙂 And only one to go container. Wait staff was very attentive. Next time we will have to go during the day- I was told they have a view of the lake.

Great experience, from the bartender to the waitress to the great food and wonderful water views. First time there, will definitely be back! Love the lodge feel.

We have always had great food here! I had the Queen Cut Prime Rib tonight, and it was a very good quality cut of beef. Not all restaurants serve this kind of quality! Who ever is in charge of purchasing their food products knows what they are doing!!!

Love Donny's even though i only go maybe once a year I am always very satisfied with the meal (signature dinner is my favorite) staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend however I hear in summer months you need a reservation far in advance. 100% worth it.

We went to Donny's Glidden Lodge for my wife's birthday. She had been there before and this was her request for her special dinner. Great Supper Club, Great Choice.

The Lodge has great views of the lake through the entire restaurant and bar. We were their just before sunset and it set the perfect romantic setting.

The food was excellent at very reasonable prices. The menu features a great selection of steaks and seafood. My wife started with Shrimp Cocktail(you can order by the Shrimp 5,6,7...). Her main course was Shrimp and Scallops Linguine, one of a number of specials that night. The Shrimp and Scallops were prepared perfectly, layered over the pasta with a delightful white wine sauce. I had an amazingly grilled New York Strip served " at medium+ and Gliddenized(with Merlot Sauce and Gorgonzola cheese). This superb dinner could only be topped by dessert, a decadent Flourless Chocolate Cake. One of the best my wife has ever had.

We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Door County as should you!

By the way The Glidden Lodge also has accommodations as it is also a Hotel.

Get there early with reservations, for best seats with a view!

A friend took us here, and the experience from service to food and drinks to atmosphere could not have been better. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommend experiencing Sonny's Glidden Lodge.

It was our first time at Donny's Glidden Lodge. The decor is very cozy. Large fireplace with a water view. The menu was simple but covered the basics. The food was delicious and the service very good. We will return to Donny's.
