Airwell Bed and Breakfast

We had a lovely time at Airwell for a two night stay. Todd and Lisa were the most gracious of hosts, and were ready and able to help with whatever we needed. The rooms were tidy and tastefully decorated, and the breakfasts were quite good. Great place to slip away for a few days.

My fiance and I stayed here in the Magnolia suite for 2 nights as a mini getaway and WOW. We cannot say enough nice things about this place. The owners, Todd and Lisa, were very welcoming and friendly. We immediately felt right at home in this beautifully maintained and decorated historic home. It was delightfully cozy and peaceful for a chilly November stay.

We loved the huge comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom with the clawfoot tub and heated floors. There were so many thoughtful touches like a large selection of free snacks and beverages; perfumes, lotions, bath salts/bubble bath in the bathroom; and lots of spots to sit and take in the scenery including a nice outdoor hot tub! The highlight of our stay was the absolutely phenomenal hot breakfast, which was not only incredibly fresh, flavorful, and filling, but also beautifully presented. Definitely way above and beyond your typical hotel breakfast and we loved having the option to dine in our room.

It is close to many wineries, breweries, restaurants, and outdoor activities. We really enjoyed our stay and left feeling rested and recharged. Next time you're in the area, skip the overpriced Airbnb/Vrbo and stay here! We definitely hope to return for another stay sometime!

My partner and I came to Airwell for a weekend away. The property is historic and beautiful, and Lisa and Todd were amazing hosts! We stayed in the Magnolia suite, which has all of the amenities (smart tv, fridge, keurig) plus an amazing bathroom! BREAKFAST HERE WAS AMAZING! They also always have candies, drinks, and cookies available. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed two nights in a dear cottage beside the main house ( the main house is a historical mansion )
The owners are Todd and Lisa, who actually reside in the main house.
They have our nod of best of the best hostess of all.
The decor of the cottage is home magazine worthy , each item placed in sync to lead the eye to enjoy even the smallest details
Our complimentary breakfast was beyond extraordinary and served to us at our cottage by both Todd and Lisa.
This experience will be a treasured keepsake in our hearts.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It is evident that Lisa and Todd are passionate about serving their guests and anticipating everything you may need while you are staying with them. The home was beautifully decorated and historic and had all the amenities you will need - they have thought of everything. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite and it was lovely. They have a binder in each room that gives information on any question you may have, including local restaurants, wineries and breweries, sights to see and activities to do. I wish I could give this review 10 stars. We absolutely enjoyed the delicious and gourmet breakfasts - we didn't need lunch! I hope you get to stay here too - we can't wait to go back.

My husband and I have been coming here for years on our anniversary weekend! We always stay in the Powell's Suite (separate cottage not attached to the main B&B). It's a perfect relaxing getaway with all the restaurants, wineries and local trails. Lisa and Todd are always such hospitable hosts providing small details like snacks / coffee / firewood / things to do as well as the hand-delivered delicious breakfasts! We always look forward to our stays there and cannot wait to be back. Highly recommend.

This was a great place to stay. I took my wife here for our anniversary and went for the weekend. It's an extremely charming home with lots of history in a beautiful part of Virginia.

Todd and Lisa are amazing. They are very friendly and make you feel at home right away. They have a really good knack for being able to chat as if you've known them for a long time but then extracting themselves to give you your space.

The breakfasts were very good and filling. Eating in the formal dining room was a cool experience as well. The room we had (Dogwood) was cozy and inviting.

The entire experience was great and I could go on and on about the level of detail, care and love that was put into everything the hosts did but I will spare you my ramblings.

I highly recommend and would love to return again.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2023, and couldn't have been more pleased. The online pictures are great but doesn't do the charm of Nan's Cottage justice. The owners were more than accommodating and they maintain their property well. And the breakfast was the icing on the cake. Def recommend!

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it set the bar extremely high! We stayed in the Ashby suite and it was absolutely beautiful and elegant. Todd and Lisa were gracious hosts, the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Everything was amazing and relaxing. It was truly a great experience and I would highly recommend!

We just returned from a much-needed two night getaway and are still raving about our experience! Lisa and Todd have created the perfect oasis: their property is spectacular, each room is decorated beautifully, and our suite was absolutely amazing. The fireplace was an added bonus as the weather has shifted into cooler evening temps. We loved the renovated bathroom and extra touches. The breakfasts each morning were delicious, unique, and prepared perfectly. We especially appreciate the beautiful retreat Lisa and Todd have created because we own our own bed and breakfast, and know firsthand all the hard work that goes into creating a perfect experience for our guests. Keep up the great work, we loved our time at Airwell Bed and Breakfast and can hardly wait to return!

The property is very historic and well maintained. Very peaceful and quiet setting. And lots of scenery. Very clean and comfortable.

My immediate family and some friends booked the entire place in preparation for our wedding. It was quite apparent from the get-go that the owners of this beautiful property poured their heart and soul into this place. From the perfectly manicured gardens, the stunning building restorations, the bedrooms that made us feel like royalty, to the delicious breakfasts made by the owners themselves that were hand delivered to us and served on beautiful tableware - every detail was painstakingly crafted by the owners for an unforgettable fairytale experience. It was also a convenient location as it was only minutes away from our flower pick up and venue. It was such a relaxing and picturesque place for our wedding party to prepare and take photos. Airwell B&B was one of the most breathtaking and romantic getaways we have ever been to. We plan on coming back here the moment we get a chance!

Airwell is nothing short of spectacular. A gorgeous bed and breakfast in a beautiful area of Virginia, the spacious home is surrounded by a lovely yard (with cornhole, fountains, and a gazebo!) and has two cottages. Lisa and Todd, the proprietors, are absolutely lovely. They are incredibly accommodating and allowed us to get ready for my wedding at Airwell. The rooms are spacious, lovely, very clean and incredibly comfortable (the beds are so soft and luxurious!). But perhaps the best highlight of all of this is the unbelievable food - they are truly talented! The bread pudding french toast is to die for, and they are so accommodating of various needs and preferences. I honestly couldn't recommend Airwell more highly - it's a gorgeous escape and we were so lucky to have spent the weekend there!

We had an excellent long weekend at the Airwell - Lisa and Todd have thought of everything and were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts are divine and the house itself is beautiful, cozy, and very well maintained. It's also in the perfect location to visit all the different small towns, wineries, and other sites in the area. We had such a great time that we were already planning our next trip here before we left!

Lisa and Todd were phenomenal hosts. Everything from a free snack and drink bar, an entire binder of attractions and restaurants in the area, and excellent breakfast every morning. My wife and I absolutely loved staying here and will certainly be back in the future.
