Cedar River Seafood

Cedar River is a great little place to get some delicious seafood. Upon many visits here, we have consistently had a great experience. The food has always been fresh, hot, and tasty. The service has been pretty good overall. Some of my favorites are fried catfish, fried okra, green beans, fried oysters, and you have to get their fried green tomatoes.

Took my mother to dinner and we had a great meal. There was a slight hiccup in my order, but it was taken care of right away. The food was incredible. Shannon was an absolutely amazing server. Very sweet and took very good care of us. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend.

I go to Cedar River seafood quite often and really enjoy going
there. Great seafood at a very reasonable price. The service
is always excellent. Shannon is a sweet person. Tonight, they
were short-staffed and the tables and booths were full and
there was a customer waiting line, but Shannon still was
cheerful and provided our table with prompt service!

Dine in. Today we had an excellent dinner here at Cedar River Seafood. This was our first time there and we were pleasantly surprised to have a wonderful experience here. I had fried scallop dinner my husband had Cat fish both were excellent. Clam chowder was good also. Only disappointment was only 1 lobster, ran out of sweet potatoes, clam strips two out of 3 that we wanted. We lived without them. Must have been a busy day. We will return and hopefully bring friends.

Best fresh seafood restaurant in the Inverness, FL area! Many great choices at affordable prices. Everything is cooked perfectly. I had the fried flounder with mashed sweet potatoes. My sister-in-laws got the weekday special of ayce shrimp and flounder. They tried it broiled, blackened and fried. They preferred the fried and the broiled shrimp. Also, couldn't ask for better service.

For appetizer, we have Florida style crabcakes with their dipping sauce. It was amazing. I’ll order the whole catfish with okra and it came with two sides of ranch. The fish was very juicy. It was good very seasoned not a bland item that I’ve tasted. I will come back and try something else off the menu 10 out of 10 recommend coming by yourself with your spouse or with family and friends.

I had the blackened flounder and shrimp special with 2 sides-$11.
Seafood was excellent. Sides were good. Wait staff was quick and attentive.
Excellent lunch for $2 more than a fast food hamburger meal.

Stopped here on family vacation. Our waitress, Laura, was amazing.The food came quick and was delicious. Fresh shrimp and flounder. Sides were fresh and delicious also. Sweet tea was perfect. You won’t be disappointed here

Riding through trying to figure out where we should eat. We decided to stop by cedar river seafood. Service was quick and very friendly. Food was absolutely delicious, nice size portions as well. When I got the bill, I was shocked at how affordable it was. We will make sure we are hungry riding through next so that we can stop and eat here again!

Excellent seafood. To start, we had fried green tomatoes, fried banana peppers, calamari (the calamari was just ok - not much flavor). For entrees we had shrimp, flounder, catfish, gator tails, blackened red snapper, my little one had Alfredo pasta with fried chicken (she ate all the pasta not chicken) and for sides: fried okra, lima beans, salad (very fresh), fries, coleslaw, hush puppies (the best). The service was impeccable. We had to wait a little while but once we were seated, we were serviced and food came out pretty quickly. This place is family friendly and clean. Additionally, they have a small selection of beer and wine that you can order. We enjoy coming to this local spot when we visit Inverness and will continue to do so.

Had a great meal and Rita was a pleasure! The hush puppies are AMAZING. Fried flounder and blacked catfish also cooked to perfection! Great little local seafood spot!

These guys serve the BEST sea scallops out there! You get a bakers dozen for 23.99, grilled, blackened or fried. I get the fried and their batter is thin so there's not a big crusty topping...just a little with your fish. Their coleslaw is really good too. My husband had the all you can eat shrimp/flounder for 20.99. Great prices for a wonderful meal!!

Long wait due to a chef being out but it was well worth it. The blackened cod was the best I've ever had, the fried shrimp was also great. We will definitely be back when we are in town.

I loved it... it is not my "go-to" kind of place, but it was EXACTLY what I needed. Great staff, not all up in your grill, but very attentive. I don't remember the ladies name but she definitely never.let my cup get empty. Great calamari, and salad.
I went for the shrimp. This was my first time having a seafood salad, but it was definitely worth what I paid... honestly I would be willing to pay more for what I got.
Will definitely be returning next time I am in a seafood mood!!!

Delicious seafood and plentiful portions. Hush puppies are crazy good, flounder was perfect without any sauce needed. Will definitely be back!

My waitress was absolutely amazing! She was new there I can't remember her name but anyways I had the black and catfish fried shrimp and the sweet tea really really good. Nice environment excellent location out of the way it's a great evening place to go to if you've been out on the beach or on the lake all day. Go home shower up and come out and have a nice dinner here

Absolutely fabulous food and large portions! Stuffed crab is a must and phenomenal! We were seated immediately, although though it was packed. Service was impeccable!

We stopped here for lunch during our bicycle ride on the nearby Withlacoochee trail. Great place to stop, only about a block off of the trail. The food was excellent!! We both had the lunch special of flounder & shrimp. Sadly I forgot to take a photo of the food, I was really hungry from riding bike.

A little expensive but worth it! We loved the atmosphere and decor, relaxing. The food was better than we've had at red lobster and the portions were huge.
