Morgan Street Burgers

Update 1/2/21 - This place is still GREAT! New Years camping at Meridian State Park and we always have to come in for Morgan Street Burgers but we started to get worried as we never saw them open from the day we arrived Monday evening 12/29/20. We checked several times and finally got someone to say they would be open on 1/2/2021 but with only 50% capacity seating on the inside. Once we arrived and after ordering we discovered today was their first day the inside has been open since before July 1, 2020

Today I ordered the double-meat with double pepper jack cheese, on the organic homemade bun with jalapeno cheddar.cheese, topped with LTPO nothing real special cause I love the flavor of the meat itself plus large order of fries for wife & daughter to split. The burger is always cooked perfectly with juices flowing down your arm when biting into it. With options for caramelized Dr. Pepper onions or cracked pepper bacon for toppings its just how big do you want this thing. My wife had a single with pepper jack cheese, bacon on the jalapeno cheddar bun and again get plenty of napkins. Unfortunately I did not take pictures cause by the time we got our burgers we consumed them before thinking about snapping pictures...but there are plenty from others.Camping with good friends at Meridian SP this was our 2nd trip to eat at Morgan Street Burgers. We came in on friday night when we noticed the "All You Can Eat Catfish" on Friday nights(5pm-8pm)as we drove thru on way to park. After experiencing the great catfish we decided that we had to try the burgers on way home, so freak`n glad we did. First of all you have to decide if you want single or double meat then cheese choices, next is the home made buns once i saw the jalapeño/chedder no reason to search any further, next all the possible toppings from Dr. Pepper caramelized onions to the peppered bacon, jalapeño relish, home made pickles then comes the hard part which one of the chefs special sauces are you going to try from sirracha or cilantro mayo's or mustards to flavored ketchups we are talking flavor over load so many choices but only one burger then comes the question do you want fries OMGoodness(just say no) else your afternoon will be spent in nap mode. A full order of the kennepec potatoes with chefs seasoning is probably one of the best fries you will ever eat(full order will feed table of 4) not sure what a kennebec potatoe is but all fries should be so lucky. I have to mention the burger itself while all the toppings are there to help enhance the burger the patty is by far the star It is cooked to perfection and the flavor of the meat is just overwhelming it makes your mouth happy. My eight year old loved her burger so much she said "dad it does not need salt or pepper and was really wet" (juicy). The other bonus was the young lady at the counter taking orders she was polite, inviting and just all around wonderful person to deal with. If your within 30 miles of Meridian this is a great place for lunch else you will have to wait for weekend cause they are only open 11am-3pm Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday with exception Friday nights catfish.

Amazing burgers and Friday night fish special! The chef makes his food from the best ingredients and is proud of what he creates. I am delighted in how great it tasted. I have eaten here a few times and enjoyed it everytime. On popular nights they get busy but the food is totally worth the wait!

Great burger. Interesting condiment options. Just be sure to bring cash. They don't take cards. Just as an FYI, the meal below was $19.21.

Outstanding! A quick Google search on our Labor Day country drive brought us here. Glad we stopped. Cheeseburger with jala/jack cheese on an organic jala/cheese bun was really good. Fries to die for. Neat and clean little place. Bathrooms nice n clean. All around good experience. Y'all come.

Great burger joint. Buns are homemade, crispy on the edges, thin like flatbread, and soft on the outside. Fries are fresh and handcut daily. Pattiies are fresh, hand shaped and seasoned perfectly.

Great food, great service, nice place! We were traveling and just stumbled across them, and we were very glad we did! The buns are wonderful, homemade! They start their burgers with angus beef and give you four cheese choices, then provide lots of custom toppings. The caramelized onions are awesome, and the sautéed cremini mushrooms are fantastic! The fries are great, hand-cut daily and seasoned really well!

Really impressive attention to quality and detail. Totally unexpected for a small town. Some of the best fries I ever had in terms of seasoning and cooking. Great burgers and excellent toppings/condiments. Our family will be back!

Fries are amazing! I loved being able to choose Sriracha Mayo on my burger. It was delicious. Ordering was easy, food came out fresh hot and not a long wait. We definitely will be back next time we drive through.

I have been waiting to eat here for a while I stopped by yesterday and the the burger it was absolutely amazing! The Jalapeño cheddar bun is to die for. Gets even better stopped on Friday for the all you can eat fish, you will never and I mean never find anything that tastes this good from the homemade coleslaw and hush puppies the only thing that ties it all together is the hand cut fries. DO NOT EAT ANYWHERE ELSE after eating here everything will be a disappointment.

First time going to this place wasn't really sure what to expect... everything is fresh made down to the handcut fries. It's made to order so depending on how busy they are you could be waiting awhile. We had 5 burgers with 2 orders of fries and it was almost an hour before we got our food because the person in front of us had a huge order. We had 4 young kids with us so it was a bit of a trial to make them wait that long. After the first bite of that burger though, you realize ANY wait is worth it for this place. We will be going here again for sure.

Food very good and quick, staff very friendly. 5 people, five different burgers, everyone was delighted. The jalapeno cheese bread is EXCELLENT! And if you can't find one of their custom condiments to your liking, then you don't like condiments. The fries are served in overwhelming quantities.

My husband and I ate here for the first time yesterday and our experience was great! $26 for a single & double burger with a whole order of fries and 2 drinks. Very reasonable prices and we walked away STUFFED! We spend twice that for both of us at any other restaurant and are usually hungry an hour later.

Staff was extremely friendly, prices were good, wait time was excellent and the food! Best burger I've ever had in my life, veggies were super fresh, and the fries were seasoned perfectly. We will definitely be back!

I arrived a few minutes after closing and they were kind enough to help myself and another customer anyway instead of sending us away, which was very nice because I'm 8 months pregnant and I was starving and there's not much else out in this area for food. My burger was very good, very big, I couldn't fit it in my mouth lol. But I have to say the chocolate shake was even better and I will stop here next time just for that shake. Friendly service and quaint atmosphere. Oh and the fries portion they give you is huuuge! In a bag and seasoned kind of like five guys. I was eating them for three days lol. Would recommend if your passing through!

Outstanding food and friendly owners. Come and bring a really big appetite. Make sure you get the Dr. Pepper caramelized onions on the burger. Great to support a fellow small town, the backbone of the American lifestyle!

Simply amazing. Best burger I've had in a long time. Gourmet, fresh, homemade buns, and great hospitality and service from Geneva. Sarah is the owner and runs a tight ship. Very highly recommended! Thank you for a fabulous meal.

The place looks like just any cheap hamburger joint. It's in the middle of a tiny little town. I walked in and the place was just normal. Somebody told me about this place and took me there for lunch so I figured I'd try it. My first bite into the hamburger made me think that this was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I got all of the toppings. When you go there you'll see they have quite a few and they are not your typical toppings. The milkshake was just okay. There was too much ice in it.

I ordered the Single Patty burger all the way with mustard and a Jalapeno Cheddar bun! Quite possibly the best burger I have ever had! Fries are great too - hand cut, fried to perfection, and they are somehow able to produce french fries not saturated in grease! Very good experience - really good service, awesome hand spun milkshakes!

So if you go to Morgan Street Burger.. get a single pattie with Swiss cheese, mushroom, and Dr Pepper Grilled onions! You can thank me later! Morgan Street makes homemade ketchup, garlic mayonnaise, etc.. I am going to try to get them to try their hand at Truffle Mayo. We buy Truff mayonnaise.. but I imagine they could make it better!

Great place to eat! Great small town feel and taste. Burgers are excellent and the catfish on Fridays are my favorite. We really enjoy going for family night or an awesome lunch after working all day. Highly recommend to everyone.

Wonderful burgers. Was passing through Meridian on a Sunday and wanted to stop for lunch. The staff was very friendly and the food was outstanding. They make their own hamburger buns (white, wheat or jalapeno cheddar) and also make some of their own burger toppings (jalapeno pickle relish). The fries were home made and very fresh. If you are in Meridian, TX and would like a delicious burger, give them a try. The cilantro mayo is incredible.
