Raw Deal

Updating my review from six years ago. Beyond helpful staff. Kind hearts. Clean building. Comfy seats. Delicious coffee. I'm on the boring side, got a black coffee with a pump of Hazelnut, and it was the phenomenal. Drank every last drop in no time flat!

Fabulous place to stop and get healthy options. Fresh juice, smoothies. Vegan treats and fresh bakery.

(2022 Update below) Winter Market was very wholesome and cozy. I will definitely be coming back on Saturdays.

Update 1 year later, in 2022:

Raw Deal continues to be an epic coffee and community presence, in Menomonie. I adore their vegan food options. Their fruit drinks are delicious, too!

The atmosphere is fabulous. It is set up for people to hang out there with several areas of sofa and chairs groupings.

I had a great bagel sandwich and juice here! Was very pleasantly surprised to find several vegan friendly menu items :) Overall pleased with the experience and enjoyed the unique atmosphere. Thanks Raw Deal!

there are non raw options for us normal vegans, but the raw deserts are really good as well, i loved the lemon supreme pie. well priced drinks. absolutely knockout atmosphere and service.

I love this coffee house. We always go when in the area. Delicious coffee!! Never a bad selection in that area. They have vegan baked goods and light lunch or snack items at the ready. The vegan burritos and molasses cookies are excellent. Always pleasant service, lots of cozy spots to sit and also a great spot to do work on the go!

I love having a vegan place, especially that has raw options, to stop at on my way from the Twin Cities to back home in Wisconsin. I've never had something I didn't like and the atmosphere is excellent :)

Best coffee shop in the Chippewa valley I could write a book about this place. Kombucha, on tape. Beer, on tap. They roast their own beans and they have a large selection of house made desserts and baked goods. I always get a bagel sandwich. They have the healthiest stuff like juices and smoothies and vegatarian / vegan ice cream. My favorite coffee shop I've ever been to, a true destination. I wish I had more pictures the inside is huge and awesome with high ceilings and a balcony. It closes at 6:00 p.m. now which is a bummer because they have beer and wine and stuff

My comfort Cafe, I regularly get their lavender iced coffee, and their raspberry cream cheese bars are to die for. I love the cozy feeling I get every time I stop by. They also typically have local artist's work inside for sale which is always nice. I always found their prices to be very fair also.

This cute farmer's market was going on while we were there. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was great. It has plenty of food options: vegan, gluten free, all natural. My inner hipster was right at home.

Have a card here & come a couple times a week. Great place to relax, chill with friends, do homework and even grab a beer.
Also, the farmers market is here every Saturday and it's a great environment to walk around to support local businesses.

I love just about everything about this little gem in such a large space in Menomonie. Plenty of raw and not quite raw vegan options and they even roast their own coffee beans. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Seriously, please support this establishment that cities far larger and more populous than Menomonie aren't fortunate enough to have. A+++

I came later in the day, so I did not experience it at a faster pace, so my review reflects this.
What a fantastic coffee space. It has a really large area if you want to sit in and do some work, read a book (they have a small library if you want to sit and read something offered), or just relax. It looks like they have a space for music, so sometimes there might be some local folk, or jazz, or something befitting the area. They have a wide selection of coffee, and bon coffee drinks, and I think there was an area for more adult drinks of the fermented persuasion. I got the special at the time, Peaches and Cream Iced Latte, with extra sweet foam, and it was so good, I ended up getting a second one while I was there visiting with friends. Because we came later in the day the atmosphere was pretty relaxed, and you could sit and not feel cramped, or rushed. A real boon if you like to be in a public space, but still desire to be in a bit of a bubble.
Raw deal also features it's coffee in to go ground, whole bean, and k cups, if you want to take the experience home with you.
I'll be hitting this place up when I'm next in the area. A good local coffee shop cannot be denied.

Very relaxed atmosphere. A nice place to go to get some work done or just read while enjoying a drink. A lot of seating!

I like the Raw Deal. They have nice big tables where you can spread out to work or draw. It is a relaxing atmosphere. They have a good selection of drinks as well.

Such a nice, calming, relaxing environment. The staff are also incredibly friendly and it is by far the best coffee I've ever had. I spend a lot of time in this place!

Got a Hazelnut Latte and an Italian Soda with raspberry and rose flavoring. Both were great! Highly recommend the raspberry and rose flavorings!
