Charlie's Restaurant

Best fried chicken around, plus really good vegetables. Portion sizes are big, and prices are very fair. I brought home more leftovers than I ate! And the included dessert and other side wouldn't fit in the to-go box!

It's always a good sign when the locals hang at a place. The reality was better than expected, by far! We were visiting the area and noticed Charlie's parking lot was always pretty full. Yesterday, we had the opportunity to stop for lunch. My wife ordered the Funky BLT and I went with Charlie's Burger (I mean, if Charlie's willing to put his name on it, I'm willing to eat it). Both were wonderful. The staff was terrific. We will certainly look forward to another opportunity!

Server Tonya was efficient in taking our order, delivering once it came up plus checking on our needs without smothering us. Our food was fresh, cooked just right and delicious. I then made an to go order. It was still warm and delicious by the time I got in home.

Plain and simple place with very close seating. All the food I had was excellent. From the odd looking hush puppies to the free cake surprise. Super staff and $10 meal selections too. Only complaint for me was the seats cut off my circulation. Bring a pillow. Otherwise I give this eatery an ahhh, which is my top rating.

It is always great to visit here. There is plenty on the menu with a wide selection of side dishes. The coconut cake was fantastic. I like to sit there with the local people. I do believe that is a good indication that you are in an establishment that is favored by the folks who live in the area. I ordered gravy on my hamburger steak and the beef gravy was awesome.

Perfect for a down home meal. I had a trout sandwich minus the bread (I'm gluten intolerant) and it was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. My guy had the hamburger steak and said it was great.

Very nice and clean country restaurant. The food is fresh and served at the proper temperature. Great for a quick bite or a relaxing meal. I always get the omelette with sausage, mushrooms, jalapenos and cheese, with home fries and marbled rye toast. The staff are professional, very friendly and attentive. I love eating here. The restrooms are clean and orderly. Handicap parking, access and seating.

This is a quaint little diner with good food and great service. If you are passing through Pamlico County, do yourself a favor and stop by!

Fantastic food unbelievable sides and the easy going atmosphere, people are so friendly I can't wait to return, and Taylor is the Ray of sunshine for the business, really gets to know her customers,big thank you for staying Open late and taking my orders at closing time 🤟

We called them for a to go order not knowing it was almost time for them to close. They did our order with no complaints that I knew about and our food was hot and fresh. Portion sizes were perfect and everything was cooked just rite. The lady that waited on me when I came to pick up our order was just as nice as she could be. Some restaurants in the area won't do to go orders if they are already busy or if it's almost time for them to close. I'm not sure when it ever became ok to tell a paying customer that they weren't doing to go orders due to being busy but Charlie's isn't one of those places. It's just good people serving good food like grandma used to cook.

After a grueling experience trying to order or get attention from the 1 waitress from a restaurant in the county that I will not mention.. Taylor and staff welcomed us in with only 30 minutes to close with smiles and the meal was absolutely delicious ❣ I had a prime rib and friend had oysters and shrimp, said the oysters were fantastic as well the shrimp.

Great country cooking in a nice country restaurant. I eat here often when I'm in the area. Really good daily specials. Nice and friendly staff. One of my favorite places to eat in eastern NC.

Great food! I am not from here but working here and we go at least 3 to 4 times a week! We never had any problems with the waiters there always making sure we have refills even on busy days! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I along with six others from my church had lunch there today, food was absolutely delicious. Wait staff was really nice. Restaurant bathroom very clean. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!!
