This is the best dental office! Dr. Greene does excellent work and the staff is amazing. Very welcoming office that will make you feel comfortable starting at your first visit. Helpful with filing insurance and getting claims paid. Highly recommend.

Mount Mitchell Density provided me with great dental care. The insurance quote was spot on and they worked with my schedule to get me in when it was convenient for me. The entire staff is friendly and very professional. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for professional practice that cares about their patients.

I could feel the root canal coming on over the weekend (I've had several previously). Called bright and early on Monday morning to see if they could work me in to check it out. Fantastic customer orientation from Courtney and Lexi and they got me in that day. They also set up my appointment for the root canal later that week with their partner in Asheville. I could not have found a better staff and dentist than these folks. They were slammed when I arrived but greeted me and got me taken care of despite that. If anyone has any issues with these great folks, I suggest they look in the mirror. Friendliest dental staff I've dealt with in my 66 years on this planet. Thanks to all!

This is a great practice. They seem well organized. Dr Greene and his staff are really gentle and friendly. The office is inviting and clean. I travel from Buncombe County to come and it is always a nice experience.

My visit was urgent, for a broken and infected tooth. I was not a patient yet I was seen, essentially, right away. This staff and all who work there were absolutely the most delightful and pleasant people. Their professionalism and curtesy were beyond five star and this is what made the difference…everyone was genuine in their good will. My dental needs were expertly met and my spirit totally lifted !

Our family loves this practice. We came over from Dr. Grigg when her office closed because of Olivia. She does such a great job with our kids and makes them feel super safe. Dr. Greene is very thorough and kind and we’re happy to be patients here.

After Dr. ray retired, this facility is no longer great. Dr. Greene is extremely rude and unhelpful. My last experience was my last as I was treated very poorly by the Dentist. After several years of complaining about the same teeth, I was finally told I had cavities. I got a second opinion and was told that my cavities were not caused by improper hygiene, but the braces that I had. This is something the faculty at Mt. Mitchell had never warned me or even mentioned that could be a possibility, they just told me absolutely nothing was wrong. With this being said, maybe they could’ve missed it. Either way, dr. Greene left me extremely upset by his bad mouth. Small comments when I told the dentist and assistant that I wasn’t numb has cost him a lifelong patient. Unprofessional and rude behavior I’ve only seen in teenagers. On top of all of this, I got an unexpected bill. They said the bill was overdue but I didn’t know I had a bill. They never contacted me after having to file in my insurance that “wasn’t in the system”. (I’ve been a patient here for a while, my insurance should have been in the system)

I hate to say this but after over 15 years of being a patient at Dr. Ray and a few more years with Dr. Greene I have decided to leave after a long going ordeal with a tooth ache caused by bad judgment of Dr. Greene. It started with a chipped crown. Dr. Greene replaced it but told me there was a terrible deep cavity underneath it and it may cause some cold and heat sensitive for a few days. It turned out it turned into a huge ordeal of terrible toothaches and lots of Antibiotics for several weeks and the response that I was told at the time of the appointment that there is a chance that the tooth may need a rootcanal after this. Absolutely not true. If that was the case than why did he immediately place the permanent crown on it??? Instead of a temporary and wait a couple of weeks to see what happens? As I was told is the practice at other dental offices!!!
The tooth did calm down for a few months after Antibiotics but started back hurting. First visit I was told I had a sinus infection that was clearing up and it would stop hurting after it clears up. NOTE I had no symptoms of such. However it was not the case. Toothache got worse. I went back and finally got told I needed a rootcanal. Had to wait 3 weeks for the 1st opening. The toothache got worse every day and I couldn't stomach the unreal amounts of ibuprofen he told me to take for it. I asked if he could prescribe some Antibiotics because they helped in the past. He gave me one week worth for 3 weeks of wait till appointment. Thankfully my regular doctor helped me out with that. My final straw was when I finally went to get my rootcanal. I had to sign a waver that there is a good chance that the crown might break apart during rootcanal and has to be replaced!!! After I just paid for a new one!!! Dr. Greene told me they would just drill through that...no problem. And furthermore I was informed that this was very common for a tooth to need a rootcanal by the time a second crown gets placed especially with such a deep filling.
I can only say good things about Dr. Greene's staff. Always super nice and courteous. Sadly I cannot say the same about Dr. Greene. Bad judgement in my case and trust lost.

I became a patient of this practice in April, 2022. Initially, service was great! At the end of first visit, Courtney decided not to schedule a hygiene appointment because there were no openings until August and she placed me on a call basis to get me in before August. I did not get a hygiene appointment until October. Dr. Green replaced a crown and filled a tooth. When I saw him in November for the filling, he and Mary Lou answered my questions but grudgingly. Why? I was a patient for 9 months and my hygiene was not completed. On January 9, 2023 I contacted office staff and shared my concerns. Lexi apologized and offered me a follow up with Olivia for the next day - I had a previous appointment. I informed her that I would be at the office on Thursday to pay my final bill and asked how I could obtain my records. She said that I could sign a release and they would send them wherever I chose. I did so and received an email with xrays attached the next day. I am disappointed that I was treated this way!
