We loved our stay on the farm!

As far as our rv accommodations: the spots were gravel and level. Had a fire pit, bench, water and electric. Perfect.

The animals were so fun to watch. So many chickens and pigs! Very special place they have and have let campers get a glimpse at.

They also have a farmers market list you can order from. They brought it to our rv in the morning. We got fresh arugula, tomato’s, sweet potatoes, pork chops and bacon!

Awesome small campground on our way to Florida! To see a young couple running this farm is impressive. Very well maintained and they will answer any questions you have. This is a must stop if you can. Perfect for a one nighter.

This was a quick drive from Beaufort - and I encourage tourists and locals alike to check it out. There is RV parking with power. I chose to primitive tent camp. Attentive, welcoming hosts. I attended a gardening class and farm tour while here. I also volunteered to lay hay for the pigs. (You can also volunteer in the garden or greenhouse.) I enjoyed walking “the loop”
and watching wild turkey and birds. There are seasonal vegetables and meats available. I really enjoyed hearing the sustainability story of how Marissa and James are revitalizing the soil. I’ll be back!!

Unique and amazing. This is a working farm with the most interesting plan. Marissa and James are reclaiming land overgrown with invasive trees and plants, making sustainable and natural land. Goats, pigs and chickens are doing the work of clearing undergrowth and exposing the earth, based on a thorough understanding of rotating the animals through the space taking into full account the needs of the soil and plants. It's a phenomenal place, well done! Can't wait to come back to see their progress!

We had a beautiful time. I was able to book last minute after our plans fell through. We stayed for one night. Marissa was very accommodating. This is a working farm and not your typical campground which we loved. The site was clean and quite. We were able to walk the farm a bit on a very well kept dirt road. We were offered fresh eggs and produce!

We were able to spend 2 nights at the farm! After the rain stopped, we got to walk around the farm.
Lots of great farm animals to watch, plus saw a couple Bucks watching me walk by.
It’s worth stopping, and recommend it!

Hosts were very accommodating and we really enjoyed watching the chick's wanadering around. We bought some bacon and pork chops. We cooked the bacon for our dinner on site. We paid for the full hookup which came with a picnic table and fire ring. Water and 30amp service was there too. No sewer available though.

Our favorite stop when traveling with our RV from FL to NC. Marissa and her family are so welcoming. It is always fun to see the farm animals and have enjoyed watching the farm expand over the years. A must experience!! Jim and Beth

Beautiful site to camp, amazing farm and wonderful produce. Staff was very accommodating, got us fresh eggs, still warm, right from the henhouse. Highly recommend. NOTE: please observe 7:30pm check-in cutoff, the camp sites are right in the working farm site.

This was a real amazing and unique experience. Camping at an active farm with pigs, chickens, and goats was super cool! The hosts, Marissa and James are downed to earth people who are so accommodating it made the stay that much more enjoyable. Tent, camper, rv, tiny house, or what I chose; rental of their AWESOME vintage style hard shell camper. Hot shower, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, stove were already stocked and ready to go. Marissa even hooked us up with a cooking tripod and firewood. Seriously, a must for campers!!!

We had a great time! It was a quick drive from Savannah and is the perfect location if you’re looking to unplug and unwind for the night. Marissa is very welcoming. This is a working farm and you have the opportunity to walk the trails and tour the gardens. I highly recommend!

We stayed one night on our trip from florida to Connecticut. It was a farm in a wooded area., there were chickens grazing nearby, which was fun to watch. We had power and water The host was helpful and friendly. She had meat and eggs you could buy. Savannah was a quick 40 minutes away so we went there for a dinner cruise. It worked out fine for our needs. We have a 26’ motor home and pull a jeep behind. We had no trouble getting in or parking.

My family and I stumbled upon this gem on a road trip. It was such a wonderful stop that we will be sure to make a trip to come back. We loved visiting with the animals and touring the farm with Marissa and learning about the organic and regenerative practices she is dedicated to.
The RV was adorable and we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was. It’s a small space but we were able to set up a pack and play for my toddler and have room for our dog all in that one space. The AC works great on a hot night too!
Be sure to purchase sausage and any veggies they have in stock to cook over the fire at night!

What a wonderful and unique experience camping here in our RV was!  Whippoorwill Farms provided such a special opportunity for my family to learn, explore, relax, and enjoy nature.  We experienced true southern hospitality from the owners, learned about regenerative farming, and ate delicious food that was raised right there on the farm.  It was also a great home base for visiting Savannah for a day.  Thank you to Marissa and her family - we truly appreciate you opening up your farm to us and sharing these great experiences!

Camping at Whippoorwill Farms was incredible!! We were greeted by the crew as soon as we arrived and taken straight to our site. It was a perfect spot nestled in the trees, but right next to a porta potty. We had a fire pit and a nice picnic table right at our spot. And, massive perks that we got to see the farm! The little tiny pigs were so adorable & the huge mama's were impressive as well. Everything about our stay was absolutely the best and our kids agreed!

We had a great time on Whippoorwill Farm! We stopped in for a couple days with our six year old twins so they could experience the farm life a bit.
We were happy to pitch in with the farm chores while we were there and our girls were happy to have Ellie to play with too.
And we went home with a freezer full of consciously raised meat, yummy produce and eggs!

Whippoorwill Farm is a vibrant, engaging and informative destination, AND a great place to stay! If all you want is a comfortable stay (the Tiny House is delightful) and a chance to pick up primo eggs, chicken, veggies, and pork sausage - you’ve got it! But, if you want to see a real working regenerative farm in action, with all kinds of learning opportunities about how to restore and take care of our land, while putting organic, wholesome food on the table - this is the place!

We stayed for a long weekend and were able to check out nearby Savannah, Bluffton and Hilton Head Island. And even though we stayed in the Tiny House, there are also really nice RV sites with electric & water, and tent sites too.

Camping on Whippoorwill Farm was close to one of the best experiences my suburban family has ever had (like right up there with skiing in Japan and riding a camel in Africa). Teaching our daughter where food comes from and about different ways of life is important to us. I cannot say enough about the retro trailer (it was warm with warm water on cold nights), the campsite (quiet and private), the farm (natural and impressive with chickens, pigs, cows, and a horse), and the people (welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable). What we learned and experienced will carry with us for a long time. Close to 95 and Savannah (we spent a day in town). We left with our hearts, minds, and cooler (filled with organic naturally raised delicious meat we feel good about feeding our family) FULL!!! We recommend a trip to Whippoorwill for everyone!
