The Depot Restaurant at Cody Creek

Been here several times and it’s always great! Food is awesome, atmosphere is very nice and clean! Met the owners tonight sitting at the bar and chatted with us a few mins. We had a blooming onion which was good. I had the ribs tonight and she had the surf and turf. With salads which were super fresh. Also got the see Maggie the owners bird.

Only our second time there, but we love it! Great food, service, and atmosphere! Will definitely be back. Beautifully decorated for Christmas! Was able to get GF and DF items. Plenty of parking spots.

This restaurant is one of our favorites. Whenever we are in Mt Airy, North Carolina, we make a drive out to this beautiful restaurant. The grounds are so scenic. You enter over a covered bridge . The restaurant is super efficient. Even though there was tons of people there it took us half the time they told us it would to be seated. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. They really have good service down.!!

Beautiful place, food was great. Service was very fast. Was quoted 35 mins wait, was less than 30 mins. There is lots to see so the time flies by quickly. Some of the Best staff I have ever come in contact with.
Definitely recommend trying the banana pudding cake. Absolutely amazing!

The atmosphere was wonderful. So cool driving over a river through an old wooden bridge and seeing the church also built over the river.
The food was great. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and came in decent time. The place was tremendous full by the time we left. Recommend getting there early.

Well worth the drive. Wish I had of had my wedding there. The covered bridge log cabin church is beautiful. I highly recommend the blackened pasta with shrimp and chicken. And the pecan praline ice cream in the gift shop is delicious!♡

Great meal and excellent service. Once our order was taken, they got our food out very fast. Our waitress was excellent! Very nice experience.

This place is one of the most Awesome places my wife and I have eat at. Service is great, fast and friendly, the place is Beautiful, the food is out of this world good and delicious. The whole place is in its own little world. I recommend The Depot at Cody Creek to anyone. You all need to go and try it out, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing place to eat! The entire area around the restaurant was enjoyable to walk through. There is a small store too. The steak was absolutely delicious and server was really great! I’d love to stay in the attached hotel too

Great menu, blackened chicken is delicious. Staff is very friendly and quick service.

We travel around the eastern US in our RV, and this is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere... This is our second visit. We were in Mt Airy visiting Mayberry, whish is 10 miles away from the restaurant.
The restaurant has the feel of a hunting lodge out in the country. As you enter off 601, you cross a covered bridge. Thete is a rustic church on the property for weddings.
This place gets crowded after 5pm.

The restaurant offers a large assortment of good country cooking dishes at very reasonable prices. Everything we have tried is delicious.
Tonight, I had the fried chicken brest on mashed potatoes, covered with white country gravy. My wife had the trout. Every entre comes with 2 sides and bread.
With 1 wine, our bill was only $40.
We will be back.

I have been to this venue many times and I have been happy with my food and service every time. The customer service is great and very fast for how busy they are. I generally have enough food for leftovers. Very beautiful property with plenty of outdoor and indoor space. I’d highly suggest checking this place out if you are looking for a solid spot.

Had an amazing dinner here after our wedding in the chapel! Love this place! We stayed 2 nights in the beautiful cabins! And the General Store is AMAZING! I LOVE this place!The chapel is actually over a creek! Lots of places to take photos. There's also an event center there. Came back this year to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Everything was perfect! The salmon was the best I've EVER had!

A very special thank you to The Depot. What could have been a big mess up actually turned into THE BEST SITUATION EVER. This family has it TOTALLY all together in the HOSPITALITY AREA and you are very appreciated. You are on the top of the list for dining enjoyment. Thank you again for your generosity and kindness. Very cool spot. Would be amazing for a big event. We wandered around the grounds. Beautiful and impressive. The restaurant was very mountain woodsy feel. We started with fried banana peppers for an app. They were perfectly fried. Very little grease. Lovely taste. We all loved them. I think if I went back I would get the blooming onion because it looked to be fried to perfection. For my lunch, I opted for the Sunday meatloaf special with baked beans, mashed potatoes and jalapeno broccoli cornbread. Everything tasted very home made, similar to how my WV Grandmother would do it. I thought everything was delicious and would definitely go back for the food.
You can tell this place gets pretty busy by the way the service is. They're very prompt. Not a lot of chit chat, get in, eat, get out, sort of deal.
There is a little store that was super cute. I felt they could have done a bit more with the store but it was something to do and id assume in the summer probably something to do while you wait on a table.
Great spot. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Wonderful, WONDERFUL, wonderful!!! Nice people working there, beautiful place, food is great! I’ve had several things off the menu, satisfied with every choice! Best ribs in the country, I don’t even eat ribs anywhere else lol!

Me and 11 friends took a road trip up to your restaurant and it was a pleasure. The staff was amazing the food was the best we all have had in along time. Highly recommend the place.

We travel full time in an RV and found ourselves in this area for our 20th Anniversary. We wanted a nice, quiet place and we got so much more. This place is so gorgeous! The drive in is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are breathtaking. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we got there and the server put us in a nice corner table that was a little more secluded, perfect! We started with fried mushrooms, which were perfect and then we ordered the ribeye dinner and a filet dinner. Both steaks were cooked perfectly! The sides... baked potatoes, creamed corn and green beans...all perfectly seasoned! The service was great! Sherri did a great job and when boxing up our to-gos (so much food!) She offered us complimentary blackberry cobbler to take with us. Later that night I had a bite of it and it was SO good. We will try to make it back before we leave the area and will definitely return when back in the area. Thank you to The Depot for giving us an amazing memory for our 20th!

Eat here often. Love the blooming onion and the grilled chicken salad is great!! Atmosphere is cozy and service is always good. The general store on the property is a nice little place to buy some old fashion candy or a little gift on your visit.
