Hickory House BBQ

I recently made a return to one of my favorite BBQ restaurants in this area. You will find, as I have, this is your best bang for your buck. Their portion sizes FAR exceed the norm, are delicious, and the ribs have a nice bark. In the picture is a two meat with two sides, Texas toast, pickles and onions.

Excellent food grate service 😋 will recommend this place to anyone looking for grate BBQ. Very friendly staff.

I've been going 35yrs now. You don't need to look any farther. Overall this is just a "Great" place to go, Enjoy life & have Great "Home Food" The people there are just "Awesome" in everyway.

Best BBQ and most bang for your buck. Place is clean and service is phenomenal. I look at the bad reviews or low-ratings on here and I shake my head. Most of the bad reviews came from people who gave five-star ratings for national, fast-food chain restaurants. What this means to me is, they don’t know good food. Support local and think twice before you give a locally owned restaurant a bad review…especially if you don’t know what good food is :)

We were at the Darryl Starbird Carshow yesterday, found this BBQ place and drove out of way from Hwy 412 to go there ans I'm Sooo glad we did!
Ordered the 2 meat plate: chopped brisket and smoked turkey! It was sooo good! The apple.pie it came with was awesome as a side too!
Our waitress was super sweet and kept our drinks filled! Excellent food and service!
I'll be back for sure!

They close at 8PM not 9PM y'all.
Good food and friendly people here. We came in at 7:50PM thinking they were open till 9PM they were nice enough to go ahead and seat us. The ice cream machine was already almost down but our waitress grabbed us a bowl while we waited on the kind cools to prepare our meal.

I am a Over the Road Truck Driver , every time I come through I stop for the best BBQ

My family and I have been eating here for years. It is the best, local BBQ spot in Sapulpa, hands down! A locally owned mom and pop operation, it is clean and the service is great! They have a buffet at lunch with bologna, pulled pork, chicken tenders, smoked sausage, corn nuggets, fried potatoes, a salad bar with many sides like tabouli (the best in Sapulpa!!!,) broccoli salad, potato salad and all the fixings including cobbler and delicious soft serve ice cream. They also have an extensive menu with awesome sandwiches and delicious burgers. If you live here or are traveling thru Sapulpa, you really must try this cozy, Route 66 themed, tasty place!!

Love the buffet (great salad bar)! They also have a wonderful selection of BBQ favorites and comfort foods on their menu. Great eclectic BBQ atmosphere. Try their spicy BBQ sauce! Wonderful staff and welcoming atomsphere that makes you feel at home. Great escape spot for lunch!

This is good place to eat. If you just have 30 minutes for lunch. The buffet is always fresh and well stocked. When you want a great fire grilled steak for supper, they will put one on the hickory fire for you. One night a week they have ribs on the buffet, yum. I have been eating their food for over twenty years. I'll be back.

Update 05/21/2022: Still great food! Sadly the restaurant will be permanently closing soon, after 41 years of great food. Hurry in if you want to experience the taste of great BBQ! Always serving great food! Great ribs, great rib-eye !

First time at this place, had the all you can eat buffet. The food was really good, had a little bit of everything. The food was hot and fresh, the waiter was friendly and she made sure we were taken care of. Places like this are hard to come by, you get great food with really good service. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. This place gets it right. I'll be going back again sometime.

OMG!!! This food is delicious. I had ribs, fries and okra. The ribs were very meaty and cooked to perfection. We will certainly be returning. Also the help was very friendly

Came in 8/4/17 to pick up a load near the establishment and the people are great talked with one of the owners and she said they have been going 36 years strong and I hope they have many more years of success. Man the food was great I had a burger fries and some apple cobble the customer service was great and all in all this place was great next time I do a pick up I will be stoping in for some good eating... just remember the young trucker from Atlanta Georgia i hope to see you guys real soon

Any time I travel to the Tulsa area, I always stop in Sapulpa for some BBQ at Hickory house! The buffet is awesome! It is small, in terms of selection, but the quality is always amazing. I recommend the smoked bologna any time!

Nice little bbq pit with a buffet! Plenty of choices on the buffet or order from the menu. Staff if very friendly and the food is good. Prices are great and fair for what you get. A lot of home style side dishes and meal options. Would recommend them for anyone looking for a good bbq place for a fair price.

First time eating here. Service was great, and friendly. Had the pork ribs. I was pleasantly surprised that they serve full size ribs, not the half ribs you get most places. Best cooked ribs I've had in a long time. Definitely coming back here any time I'm in the area!

My husband is a truck driver & we pick up loads around the corner, so we walk over every time we come here. The food is always good, good service, & good value. Good sweet tea! Thx for the ice cream.

Very good. BBQ buffet.
Nights and Saturdays they have ribs on the buffet. You can order sandwiches too.
They have very good iced tea.
If you're following route 66 good place to stop and eat.
