Carolina Pines Inn

Was in town from 9-12 March 2023 attending a funeral. Was so grateful that I was able to stay in the military base lodging as Sumter is not the safest of communities, and I already had enough on my mind. I was able to book 3 rooms for myself and my family members, and feel safe. It was nice and quiet and clean. The staff was super nice and accommodating. I had an issue in my room with a major leak from the plumbing from under the sink that required maintenance to be called. I was impressed with how quickly it addressed. I'm sure they would have moved me to an alternate room, but the place was booked that weekend. My only complaint was that there was no heat, but was told the base only turns the heat on if it's cold enough. I can understand that if they're trying to conserve and save money. I was provided with an additional blanket, which helped. I would definitely recommend staying here if you qualify, and would stay here again if I ever found myself in Sumter again. I stayed in the DV quarters for a night while attending a funeral in the area. This is a very nice, quiet and clean quarters. Can't complain about these accommodations at all. The night and morning desk clerks were extremely polite and helpful with getting me to the room as well as giving me directions to the Base 7 Day Store. I was provided a map to show me around the Base. I would highly recommend staying here to any/all qualified personnel.

My husband and I stayed here on our PCS out process. Check-in was easy. Staff were professional and friendly. The room was dated but very clean with a renovated bathroom. The room contained everything one would need for an extended stay. Walking paths and play grounds are nearby.

As military hotels go, it was very nice and accommodating. The rates were extremely fair as well. The room comfortably fit myself, wife and two children. The addition of a fully furnished kitchen helped cut down on takeout food as well. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The staff is phenomenal! In a housing pickle, we asked to stay longer than the permissive 30 days and not only did they say yes, but they had an opening in the 2 bedroom suite and upgraded us without asking!!! Rooms are great, housekeeping is friendly, would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area! Thanks Carolina Pines staff!!!

Our room was absolutely beautiful! The staff was great and everything smelled new. The washer and dryer in the unit is brand new along with a very comfortable clean bed. Perfect for us.

On our way out of shaw and have stayed here for 4 days. We have thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

Front desk agents make or break the hotel stay. Fortunately for the Carolina Pines Inn ladies, they are the cream of the crop! The rooms were THE best I've been to (minus the DV Quarters) on a military base.

The staff is all so amicable. Relative to the location, the lodging is a bit dated. However, it is conveniently located close to all important buildings and will satisfy essential permanent change of station needs.

Enjoyed very much the base. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Front desk lady had to move us to a room on the second floor due to rain flooding on bottom floor. An adventure for our trip and a tale to share! Would/will definitely return to Shaw AFB in near future.

Located on Shaw AFB. Clean rooms with friendly service. Still has minimal COVID restrictions on daily cleaning.

Has all of the comforts of home. Staff courteous and very helpful. reasonably priced. we rested well before continuing our journey

Visited for a business trip and I cannot stop talking about the lighted curio with minibar. It is an absolutely striking display! I also love that the windows open.😊

Very nice they took care of me, I'm straight out of tech school and they didn't charge me for the time spent there until I got my GTC i really appreciate that and it saved my bank account

Attempted to stay at the carolina pines inn but they were all booked up. They gave great recommendations for other hotels and local restaurants even though i wasnt going to be staying with them.

Excellent military quarters. Clean and comfortable. Needs to add Newsmax to cable lineup to be more diverse.

It is a wonderful place to stay and all the personal are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Also the Carolina Pine Inn is near town where the plenty of restaurant.

Was nice that we could keep our beloved pets with us during a time of stress. The staff was friendly and took care of us !!

The suite was comfortable single story, quiet, clean and welcoming. The staff was professional an earned my respect.
